Metal Detecting is a good way of chilling out, its a good bit of therapy, fresh air, long walks. Its also a bit like those unboxing videos you see on youtube because even though you have an idea of what's buried below your feel you're never really sure. I love watching people such as Aquachigger, NuggetNoggin, Dr Tones, Addictedtobleeps, Si Finds, DALLMYD and Digger Dawn. I've been Detecting with Deep Digger Dan during his digging the coast 365, that was fun. I used his XP Deus... Very light. I started out using the Garrett Ace 250 and then added a Nel Tornado coil. After that I started using a Nokta Makro Kruzer and some how managed to find so much more on land I thought had been detected to death. Silver coins, WWII badges and bullets and down the beach I've even found GOLD and Silver Rings. In my latest video I've finally found a Roman Coin and A Saxon Strap End. Hello how is your ground balance set ? I got mine today but i dont know nothing about ground balance, i went to the beach and i received alot of signals but when i dig it there is nothing there !!!

Some people having teething issues with their machine but Nokta Makro will fix them. Yep a uk beach in October... slim pickings

For a minute there I thought you were going to dig to China. LOL digging a deep hole and finding a beer can sucks been there a few times myself on the beaches in NorCal. Nice video there Arron. Very tidy machine. Can't knock it for value for money. Shame it came at the end of the season but on plus side bound to be a few storms rolling in and new goodies to turn up. :)

Would like to have seen more footage of the simplex on the wetsand. That's where it would be really have been tested. Still a good video.

I was testing mine in the back garden earlier, you spoke about the modern 1p and 2p coins having an iron core, this explains why my numbers were all over the place on them. Cheers for that. ;)
It reminds me of my minelab xterra 705 crossed with something? very simuler and for the price looking good. John taking his out tomorrow just hope he gets on with it him being a garret boy lol but I know I will enjoy it :) trying to get all the info about it to help him tomorrow so thankyou appreciate all your help as always , ps is the target when pin point in the middle of coil?

Honest review of this machine?
Honestly... I wish I had this machine a few years ago when I had access to better land. It’s a very simple but powerful machine, the tones can be a bit rough on the ears but they grab your attention and you know when you’ve got a target. After a few hunts you start to learn the tones and VDI numbers and hunting with it is enjoyable. For £279 this fully waterproof wireless detector is worth getting.
I've been told I'll need a Legend for wet beach use because the Simplex+ is too chatty.
Anyone had much experience with this machine?
Hello. May I ask for your opinion. I have a Makro racer 2 at the moment. I am thinking to sell it and get a Simplex. In Simplex I like that it's waterproof, rechargeable and has software updates. What mashine is better and more serious? Is it worth changing racer 2 to simplex? Will I not regret it later on? What are your thoughts? Thanks

Auto GB bit of chatter at full sens but seemed stable. Picked out a £1 at 8” no trouble
Hi mate what settings did you use for this hunt? Just got my simplex and am struggling lol
Ground balance in Beach mode then switch it over to field mode and use that on the beach. (always ground balance in beach mode first)
I realize it has an ion battery can you replace it yourself once it goes bad or do you have to send it back to the factory
I’m guessing you could contact your main distributor and they would sort it, it can also run off an external battery pack
South Coast Detecting If you use an external power pack would it still be waterproof I don’t think so I have a portable VHF radio that goes on your life vest that the lithium ion battery has gone bad West Marine-don’t make the battery for it no more so now it’s garbage $200 down the drain Won’t make the same mistake This metal detector appears to be made in Turkey
If this went bad they would replace, they have great customer care and I know that they would look after you.

Under water it can be used 3 meters... it’s not detecting an item at 3 meters in the ground

Sorry but it really is annoying when you find a hit and then continuously beep it for such a long time. Just find a hit then dig it. So simple is that.
Please keep in mind that this was one of the first Simplex videos on TH-cam after its release. The aim was to show the tones and how it reacted to the target. So yes Peter it is simple to beep and dig but that wasn’t just the point of this video. Thanks.

I’m sorry you feel that way Peter, but when you get given a machine to try out ( a machine youve waited over a year for) you use it. I’m not doing anything different with the channel than I did when I first started with the Garrett. I wasn’t sponsored by Garrett but I wore the hat, I used the machine, I showed the settings, talked about depth, coils, tips.... everything I did then I still do. The only difference is the machine. Nothing has changed.
