Thanks for the tips! I was thinking about attending a summer school offered by my university but I feel super burnt out and want to spend time with my family since I'm extremely limited during the school year! Will definitely be touching up on topics I didn't grasp fully and the 100 day project sounds like fun!
100 days of journaling 100 days of coding 100 days of going to the gym 100 days of waking up before the sunrise and going for a run 100 days of social media break 100 days of watching a good movie a day 100 days of reading good books 30 minutes a day I am planning on doing all these things. Like this comment so that I am reminded of my goals for this summer :)))))
Great editing for sure, the "paper roll" really keeps things interesting while disguising the video cuts! 🎬 Any advice on making the most of summer academics/skills-wise if you're traveling around a lot?
@@GoodFilms_Group just make sure to study a little bit every day! you can still do a 100-day project even when you're traveling + work through courses on MIT''s opencourseware or watch Stanford lectures and take notes while you're commuting :) :3
This is such a great video!! I love that you call us your younger siblings haha, it's super cool to see someone who already went through everything we're going through as high schoolers at the moment. Thanks for making this!
hey can you make a guide video for the people like me who is in junior year/ 3rd year of my high school? it would be lovingly great to have it. And also is your essay check is free or do we have to pay ? can you provide link to your website ?
I'm planning on self-studying for Calc I because I want to already have some knowledge going into the class because I never took calc in hs, would that be a good idea?
Hi sir I'm a 12th grade student, from India. I have no friends. I do not have the money and resources to travel. I have recently taken part in 2 summer internships, where they'd train us and give 2 minor as well as 1 major project. Both internships are of 4 weeks. My school's summer vacation is also for the momth of June only. As soon as my school opens, (on July 1), I have my Term-1 exams from July 2. I also have lots of Holiday H.W. Please tell me what can I do other than those internships and the google project management program I have audited along with my school work and the preparation of upcoming exams. I'm a boy, this account of mine is an alternate one. I want to study at one of the top colleges of the world (now u know which ones I'm talking about). I have several achievements needed and am planning to take part in several more things which could boost my college application. Please help me.
What should a finishing 9th grader do during the summer ? A lot of friends are doing college summer programs. Is that really necessary just finishing 9th? Summer college programs??
Good question! At this point, it will be pretty late to try and join a summer program since most release their application information in the winter and have deadlines around Jan/Feb. For now, rising sophomores should focus on 1) developing a meaningful passion project, 2) self-studying (as many other folks in the comments have mentioned, 3) potentially working to gain some real-world experience, and 4) prepping for competitions! I know that last one sounds a bit strange, but hear me out: you don't want to be applying for competitions like Science Fair or Scholastic or Diamond Challenge when you're already super swamped with school work, so even investing a few hours now will help dramatically down the road!
