📚I'd love to hear from you-what’s one book that’s had a huge impact on your life? Drop the title below! I’m always adding new books to my list, and who knows, your recommendation might be next on my reading journey! 😉 Also, What’s one thing you’d like to see improved in the next video? Whether it's the content, editing, pacing, or something else entirely, your input will help make this channel a better space for all of us. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and recommendations! Let’s keep this conversation going👇
100 Essays That Will Change Your Life is on my reading list too! I recently bought it and can’t wait to dive in. I’ll definitely check out the others as well-thanks for sharing your recommendations!
I believe making a video on Sir David R Hawkins books like Power vs Force ,Maps of consciousness etc. would be immensely helpful for all of us 😊 Thank you so much 😄
Patience, Knowledge and Imagination. Last year i read 29.5 books. Want to increase this year to 50. Because there are so many books and so little time! My fav book has always been "The Fountainhead." Keep reading Mayank!
I like your mindset and you seem to be a genuine person. Just one thing I could improve: you listed all your 5 great people from the west, as if the only great people are from the west. It might be better to rethink your identity and not get totally absorbed in the western ideals that you forget who you are.
"More gold has been mined front the brains of men than has ever been taken from the earth" I love books ❤😊 Thank you 🙏 for sharing sir 🙏 The video quality and editing is superb 🎉 keep it up 😊
Thank you! I’m so glad you enjoyed it. I’ve got some ideas lined up to take things to the next level, so stay tuned-can’t wait to share what’s coming next! 😊📚
Very Helpful Video. The "time travel" concept was especially interesting because in todays society people tend to have a DISDAIN for the past, but reading books and learning history AND how people looked at things even 40 years ago gives great insight into todays world and how the world will look in the future. I rambled a bit, maybe I made no sense, but I enjoyed the video..Good Content... #subscribed
Glad you loved it! 🙌 And your point about the 'time travel' concept is spot on-there’s so much to learn from history and how perspectives evolve over time. Stay tuned for more fresh takes on life’s big (and small) questions!
Awesome video, the unknown unknowns, the antilibrary has more importance, the black swan xD. The second and third order effects of reading could be crazy yeah. Would love to connect with you man. I see you already have beginning of infinity, one of my favourites. You should also try books by Gary taubes, Michael lewis, all classic literature, Jiddu Krishnamurti, Seneca, Osho etc. Also would love to know/tips on how you make these videos, as planning to revamp my channel.
Thank you so much! 🙌 Fun fact: Nassim actually started writing The Black Swan but ended up finishing Fooled by Randomness first. It’s a bit underrated compared to The Black Swan, but honestly, it’s a gem! I’ll definitely check out your recommendations-Krishnamurti, Seneca, and Osho are already on my radar! 📚✨ When it comes to videos, most of my effort goes into simplifying concepts because I truly believe simplicity is beautiful. Back in my bachelor’s days, I used to teach and mentor students (over weekends) preparing for JEE, and that’s when I realized-making things complex is easy, but it takes far more effort to make them simple and accessible. Do share with fellow thinkers🚀 Much appreciated 🙌
The title should be ‘benefits of reading.’ I clicked the video because I thought I could see what happened to a person who forced himself to read books for 3 years
Here are some recent favorites (though my list changes as I read more): The Art of Thinking Clearly by Rolf Dobelli - Great for spotting common thinking errors. Factfulness by Hans Rosling - Pairs perfectly with Dobelli’s book, offering a grounded perspective on global data. Fooled by Randomness by Nassim Taleb - Explores how luck and randomness shape our lives, making us rethink success and failure. Why We Sleep by Matthew Walker - A deep dive into the science of sleep and why it’s essential. Currently reading Free Will by Sam Harris, and it’s already challenging my views on choice and control. Let me know if you’ve read any of these or have recommendations too!
what a content👏👏👏👏 keep doing this please...It will motivate me to do so...also would you be able to tell the name or share the link of the lights with stand in the background? :)
This is one of the best summaries I have seen for 3 years learning and how books can change you. I liked the sentence "you don't know what you don't know" and books can help in uncovering this. Keep it up Mayak. ❤
bhaiiiii done !!!! i guess i am sorry it's very to judge but from your first point, you get me !!!!!❤ one more sub you got !!! and it would be pleasure to be in your company !!!!
Mayank Bhai, What you dont know ,you dont know and only way to know what you don't know is through reading books. I would request you to make videos on the skills of learning, how to learn anything, nobody teaches the most crcucial aspect of being a learner.
Thanks! I’ve shared a few book recommendations in the comments, but one I recently read is As a Man Thinketh by James Allen-it’s short, impactful, and can easily be finished within a month. Let me know if you check it out!
I want to read books i think books make us someone what we want to be …. But in the chaos of career…. reading book seems time wasting …i wanna change that but can u suggest a book which make the reading intresting or way to try to sit to read book
Absolutely, I get it! 📚 When life’s busy, reading can feel like a time drain. But here’s a perspective shift: say a task normally takes 100 minutes. If you invest 500 minutes learning a skill, you could eventually cut that task down to 65 minutes. It doesn’t seem like a big difference at first, but over time, it saves you thousands of minutes-worth it in the long run! For a book you can jump into without sitting down, try Do You Talk Funny? by David Nihill. It’s engaging, practical, and will keep you on your feet while learning some powerful communication skills! Hope this helps, and enjoy the read! 😊📖
Yes, I’m working on spintronics, focusing on 2D van der Waals materials. If you’re curious, you can check out the outreach section on my project’s website here: spear-itn.eu/category/outreach/ We’ve even made our own video to explain the project-hope you find it interesting!
In the last 3 weeks, I’ve read Free Will by Sam Harris-my brain literally froze for a while after finishing it! On a lighter note, I picked up When the Scientist Presents by Jean-Luc Lebrun, which is about presenting scientific work, but the thought process it shares applies to so many other situations too. Right now, I’m diving into The 80/20 Principle and reading a chapter of The Daily Stoic every day. Oh, and just before writing this reply, I was reading A Short History of Nearly Everything! 😅 Loving this mix of deep thinking and lighter reads.
@MuscleupMind Great recommendations! I've read a few from this list. Also, I'm curious-what's your experience with reading multiple books at the same time? I used to do that too, but lately, I feel a bit guilty about it. It’s like I should finish one book before moving on to another. What’s your take on this?
