    I just bought the white one to pair with my 65" Omni TV, i can confirm that with a amazon tv any source will come through the speaker via the normal cinema setup. However in this mode the EQ control is disabled within the App and on TV which is a bit of an annoyance as i would like to reduce the bass level, only spatial on off toggle works. But overall the sound is good, connection via bluetooth makes the TV lag and unresponsive, i read that bluetooth messes with 5ghz wifi and causes issues streaming 4k content. 🙄

    like the features, setup was difficult for some of my devices (August Door lock, th-cam.com/users/postUgkxhB5YOMNj04GuoAosExygP4cH-dKeb4aB Bose speaker)... but all switches and outlets (5), thermostat, tankless water heater. Unfortunately all I can do is turn on/off Bose. It doesn't support volume or changing channels, but I believe that is due to the particular speaker I have.... Worth getting if you already have other devices to use it with... I don't sit around and ask Alexa questions much so that doesn't really matter to me....

I get sound from my echo studio speakers using fire cube. When I want to play my game sound only comes from soundbar. I'd there a way to hook everything to work together.

    Cracking video, you answered a lot of questions I had for using a Echo Studio as a soundbar. One question I do have though... If the Eho studio was to one side of my TV and I used a TOSLink cable, does the Echo Studio still do its clever feature of fulfilling the room with 3D sound?
    What I mean is would I be hearing my TV sound coming from one side of the TV from the Echo or will the Echo Studio throw its sound around the room so it gives you that surround sound experience but via TOSlink and my TV?

    So, if I want the Echo Studio to work with both the Fire TV (to get Dolby Atmos!) and also while watching common tv channels, I have to link the Echo Studio via both the Fire TV AND the optical cable, or the Fire TV is sufficient, and it will also activate the sound while watching regular television? • @UTILITARIANTVUK

      You just need to set your TV sound settings to optical. When you are watching using a fire stick or cube, you turn the TV volume to zero and use the Echo speakers volume. The fire stick remote operates the Echo speaker volume control when paired. One thing worth mentioning, currently, the speaker cannot be paired to a Fire TV ( TV's with a fire operating system built in) it only works with the latest fire stick or cube.

    • @eyesbomb
      @eyesbomb 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@UTILITARIANTVUK You are correct sir, my bad: what I meant is Fire stick. So, with a Fire stick, I must lower the TV volume to zero? I actually wanted to use the Echo Studio as an _extra_ speaker adding to the TV's ones, not giving up on them! Also, I thought the transition each time between Fire TV apps and regular tv programs was painless for the Echo Studio, seems it ain't that way, then I might as well pass and only use the echo with the basic optical connection :\

    I recently purchased two Echo Studio's and a Subwoofer. The audio is nice (i.e., bass, mid range and treble) when playing music from Amazon Music; however, whenever, I play movies, the volume is too low. I can hear the sound all around me; however, I wish it was louder. I feel like I’ve tried everything such as:
    • While in Home Theater mode, the only audio setting available is Dolby Digital Plus. The PCM and Dolby Digital options are greyed out.
    • Under Devices of the Alexa app, I selected the Echo Studio and confirmed all three speakers are paired. I increased the volume to the max setting.
    • Under audio settings on my Fire TV Cube, I toggled both the Volume Leveller and Dialogue Enhancer on and off.
    • Under audio settings In the Alexa app, I toggled the “spatial audio” on and off.
    • I restarted my Fire TV Cube (even unplugging it)
    Have anyone else experienced low volume using the Alexa Home Theater? Is so, any suggestions on how to fix the issue? Any assistance would be much appreciated.

I have to toggle the sound settings to TV speaker and back to optical to get it working again. This is Amazons first attempt at making a smart speaker that can be used with a toslink cable so hopefully it's just teething problems and will be rectified with an update?

      The only way to pair 2 echo speakers to a TV is wirelessly via a 4k fire stick or fire cube. You cannot mix and match echo's when you stereo pair or set up a home theatre. I.e. You are not able to pair an echo 3rd gen with and echo studio or echo 4th gen. You would need the following to create a decent home theatre set up using echo speakers. A 4k fire stick, the two echo plus speakers you already have and an echo subwoofer. These would all connect wirelessly to the fire stick.

    like the features, setup was difficult for some of my devices (August Door lock, th-cam.com/users/postUgkxhB5YOMNj04GuoAosExygP4cH-dKeb4aB Bose speaker)... but all switches and outlets (5), thermostat, tankless water heater. Unfortunately all I can do is turn on/off Bose. It doesn't support volume or changing channels, but I believe that is due to the particular speaker I have.... Worth getting if you already have other devices to use it with... I don't sit around and ask Alexa questions much so that doesn't really matter to me....
