the engine isnt made by the company, its a zongshen, which is a legitimate company that makes engines for brands like piaggio, i have a zongshen 125cc engine and its pretty good on my scooter
3:33 sounds and looks like it just melted piston rings or spark plug and lost enough compression to eat too much oil and bogged to death. Really wondering how dead it is...
I don't think it would last nearly as long. Not because the V4R is a bad bike, but because it is a very highly tuned engine that will overhead wayyy quicker.
"Hey guys this is Yammie noob im currently in the Jungle in nicaragua and my bike just died, im probably dieing of hunger soon but at least i didnt destroy a chinese bike senselessly"
@@reaver_7 Thanks I was going to ask this in the comments whether it was water or air cooled (should of known air cooled to keep it cheaper). They should have put a fan on it as well.
On a somewhat related note, any update on the 450SS that you all said CFMoto were going to send you as a loaner? Looking forward to content on that, especially with the announcement of the RS 457 today. The lightweight segment is getting seriously interesting
From the Standpoint of China Engines, Zongshen Engines are pretty good and reliable..... think about what happened in this test, redlining it with absolute zero cooling and still on the poor shipment oil which is not even an Engineoil LOL
I'm at 2217 miles on my DongFang 250 DualSport. Other than loose bolts (which was fixed with locktite) and me getting the plastic gas tank punctured (Fixed with JB Weld). It has been running absolutely fine. I do an oil change every 750 miles and haven't had any heating issues. I'd love a tear down on this bike and perhaps future torture tests on other bikes to see what fails first.
a bike mag did this years ago with an old zx6r. the exhaust melted down, they put it out, left it over night, put fresh oil in it and it started and ran fine
I've got a Chinese scooter that I decided to not change the oil (to kill the engine so I had an excuse to swap in something bigger)for 3 years, while using it as my daily. It's still running strong 15 years later... my other Chinese scooter (looked after) lasted 9 months... there's just not consistency
Now this seems like an interesting test. I have heard people saying "they don’t make it like they used to". Now this can test if that is true and we can see which country makes the most reliable motorcycles.
Factory R&D engine durability tests involve days of max rev running on the dyno. Then after that, it's repetitive full throttle heavy load idle to max rev cycles. Then repeat it at 50 Celsius then again at -50 Celsius. Chinese engines probably don't have these tests
Yammie please help. I’m having problems with your shop. I put an order in and whoever is contacting me doesn’t seem to know what I am talking about. It’s been 7 days of trying to figure it out. Thank you!
Didn’t KTM do this with multiple engines that are on the Duke 790? When an engine broke they took it apart to find the problem and adjusted the engine build. They logged 300000+ miles. Always have a blade on you.
I can't be the only one that wants to pickup a scrap yard 400/300 and toss the engine in this thing. I seems to be geared a bit short which would make those engines pop, also seems to be a reasonably capable chassis once the head bolt+ brake pad drag issues were sorted
Your little test is actually pretty dumb buddy. It's not going to really prove anything either way. This is an air cooled motorcycle and your letting the engine rev at high rpms as it sets there not moving. It's like taking the radiator off of a water cooled motorcycle and doing the same thing. By having the motorcycle set there not moving which means no airflow over the engine , your taking away it's cooling factor. It will overheat , just like any Japanese, European, or any other engine will do. At first I was excited to see how long it will last , then I realized the cooling will be removed from the factor and now it means really nothing.
So what if you killed it. A brand new top end kit for a 250cc Zongshen is like 200 dollars. But I doubt you have seriously damaged it, they're pretty bulletproof in my experience!
It sounds out of gas... Like someone else said in comments.. Was that checked even..?How is that not said out loud by either one of them? That tank can't be that big?.. 😂😂
naah kawasaki dont go through such test to well once test on zzr 1100 the same stuff after 15 minutes engine was ☠️ 😉china bikes are really good quality 😉👌🏻
Oh wow that is kinda impressive can't wait to see what the engine internals look like. This would be a fun series yammie
If he did this to any other bike, he’d get so much hate😂
@christianrios6295 right I was just think about that today. I bet he wouldn't do this to his bussa
the engine isnt made by the company, its a zongshen, which is a legitimate company that makes engines for brands like piaggio, i have a zongshen 125cc engine and its pretty good on my scooter
I know what the problem is with it. AIN'T GOT NO GAS IN IT.
Billy Bob Thorton
I reckon you ought not say them words!
It only makes sense that a bike as sad as the BD250 can't even die in an exciting fashion.
Yammie’s neighbors must really love him now.

Cool. Now do the V4R 😝
I don't think it would last nearly as long.
Not because the V4R is a bad bike, but because it is a very highly tuned engine that will overhead wayyy quicker.
It did a fine job w/o air flow
“Never dropped well taken care of . No low balls I know what I got”
Why does a fully reved BD250 sound exactly like my weed whacker?
Isn’t that bike air cooled? If it’s standing still won’t you just overheat it?
It's like my neighbours lawn mower, at 9.30am.....on a Sunday morning.
Rumor has it that this bike actually runs BETTER on diesel and two-stroke oil poured directly into the gas tank.
I would rather see you go on a trip around the world to see how far it gets, instead of senselessly destroying it.
Yessss that’s such a great idea

😢 always sad to see the passing of a engine. rip
Hungry kids in Africa could of ate that bike
You wrapped the tape the wrong way. Counter clockwise and it would’ve twisted the grip while you taped it to the brake lever.
We call that a "rookie move" where I come from.... that, and no common sense.
From the Standpoint of China Engines, Zongshen Engines are pretty good and reliable..... think about what happened in this test, redlining it with absolute zero cooling and still on the poor shipment oil which is not even an Engineoil LOL
Maybe the valves got really hot and they can't seal the combustion chamber any more.
Now do it to a cbr1000 rrr, for comparison purposes. I dont think it would last so long.
Neat. But I think measuring the temp would have provided a lot of addition information in regards to possible failure causes.

"I do an oil change every 750 miles" insanely bad
The motorcycle has no heat dissipation. you can test Honda Suzuka motos maybe same ; Water-cooling motor can test in this way
wow the boom got balls i mean look how it resist every insane torture that come into twisted mind of yammie
Do you hate the KTM dealership there ?
Test the KTM 200 DUKE bro 🤘
a bike mag did this years ago with an old zx6r.
the exhaust melted down, they put it out, left it over night, put fresh oil in it and it started and ran fine
Since it’s air cooled, it probably stretched the timing chain and jumped time in the middle of overheating
you would think he knows that being such a fucking expert on everything in life
That they didn't write 'HOONDA' on the side of the crank case was a huge missed opportunity.

pretty much summed up chinese manufacturing in one statement
also the reason why japanese (hondas) are 75% of the worlds motorbikes/scooters
maybe wrap the tape in the opposite direction to get actual full open throttle
Imagine if the boom company sees this😂😂😂
Should of taped the throttle open and stood next to it and kicked it into gear to see if it does a backflip
I do enjoy an ominous "to be continued"....

+1 for same "test" with a japanese similar-priced bike. PLEASE
Now do this to the Ducati
Gsxr 250 meltdown please!!🙏
Is your microphone off or just me..?
Yam, who wrote all the Go Ducks! and Oregon logos on the bike? I want to know who my new favorite person on your channel is.
I'd like to see a similar test at 3/4 throttle. I bet it would go for days.

Interesting you think so little of thr bike but you know what it does for your stats, so you keep making videos on it.
Anyone notice how the manifold pipe went golden to purple. Looked cool af
It’s not a great bike but seems a shame to wreck it just for views. As cheap transport it’s a perfectly useful device
I need to locate and change the fuel filter, you help. I have the BD250-7 and it's bogging like there's a clog in the fuel line.
Put a Ducati v4 doing the same, probably the Chinese bike keeps much more time 😅😅
It's an aircooled engine surrounded by a fairing, at standstill. Of course something is going to fry!

like the phag end by the back tyre, who smokes?
Air cooled engine at redline for 7 minutes standing still. it got HOT. but i doubt anything serious has actually been damaged. shit bike though 😀
Air cooled engine with no airflow....not exactly a good test of durability. Shoudve had a leaf blower aimed at it or something ffs.
I hear the zongshen motors are pretty reliable, even if they are anemic. The rest of the bike I can't say the same.
CF Moto and Vogue from China are way better than other Chinese brands, maybe Zontes too. Others look like home-made from cheapest material.
@@Murad.bn2 its because they are copying honda engines but manufacturing them with lower quality processes (obviously)
