Welcome back to my channel! today we are gonna talk about my CORE Pack where I keep all my essential gear. plus I'm glad to show you the new Grayl Titanium Geopress 24 Oz, it's finally Out for preorder!
I took the habit to carry my essential gear in a fanny pack that is stored inside my main pack.
if an emergency happens or if I planned to leave the main camp to scout another location without having on me all the weight I can take just that, plus few other stuff on me and I’m good to go! It’s like the Matrioska principle !
what do you think about this idea? Let me know in the comment!
thank you people!
Some of the overlay footage was taken with my lovely half @erikabastogi 🔥

Neat tip about being able to throw your bottle with cordage to acquire water. Never thought about that.
It's a very helpful feature!
Most NATO militaries operate on the basis that a soldier can survive and fight for 24 hours based on their individually carried equipment. That is, hydrate, feed, cook, navigate, communicate and fight. It's called fighting order and save for the ammunition and some more useful kit for fires and hydration you're basically there.
Thanks so much for sharing this ! Really interesting and honestly I wasn't aware of it! thanks!
NATO just as the US has tier systems. Tier 1 - what’s on the body; Tier 2 - Fighting Load and Tier 3 - Sustenance Load. Normal solders would not have to worry about Tier 1 but would have Tier 2 and Tier 3 while in Europe, commandos and in the US, special forces would have Tier 1. The problem with the US and NATO’s ability to survive up for 24 hours is its reliance on logistics and resupplies. It is not a bad thing but will be problematic in future conventional warfare as we see in Ukraine as logistics in this new era is going to have to change as the battlefield is changing and becoming increasingly unstable and difficult to sustain a conventional force. The US managed to sustain itself on the battle field because it has been fighting rather an asymmetric warfare and not a conventional warfare. But that is going to change if the US and NATO ever actually do fight a conventional military as Russia is doing in Ukraine.
Once more... The amazing content coupled with your kind personality and glorious cinematography makes your channel unique!
Truly honored thank you!!!!!!🙏🏻
This is awesome Alex!
Love the idea of a small essential lightweight kit. Staying warm, dry and watered with such a minimal kit would be a real test for most (I’m as novice as novice can be haha).
Love how much thought and innovation you clearly put into your kit.
Grayl have managed to improve on an already brilliant product!
I carry a Helikon Tex Essentials Kit Bag as my extended EDC.
Looking to build/incorporate a similar size kit to my camping kit. Thanks Alex for sharing your ideas, tips and gear.
Thanks man! We are all. Never ending students or At least it's how I Think😉 glad to share And inspire a bit! Have a great weekend!
It's amazing to see the lasting influence David Canterbury has had on the survival/preparedness field after all these years.
Can you share some info about where that Fjallraven G-1000 hip belt pouch is from? Nice little piece of kit.
The Fjällräven pouch comes with a small backpack called Lapland hike 15 I think 🤙🏻
Great setup! After todays woods excursion I am reassessing my kit as I have a fair few doubles of things and added luxuries that would actually be more exciting to be without them as I can improvise more and be creative. So I’m currently in the process of streamlining my rig. The five C’s is a great memorising concept for the essentials! Keep the great content coming!
So glad you found it useful! Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts! 🔥🙏🏻
Thanks for the heads up on the titanium grayl. I can see that simplifying my kit.
Thank you for the support!
Great to see your perspective 👍🏼
Your YT following will blow up at some point when people realize you know what you're talking about and you make quality video production... And actually test your own gear.
Thanks my friend! I will keep sharing and improve my storytelling and outdoors skills as much as I can, this is my purpose 🔥🤙🏻
Whoa… this is a whole new level of video/editing in bushcraft videos. I’d never seen your channel before this is breathtaking. Very inspiring. As a new content creator this an aspirational glimpse into how far the learning curve can stretch and how much room there is for growth. I will be watching a lot more of this. 👍
Thank you man! So glad you enjoyed it! Trying hard ! Have a great day!🙏🏻
Your kit is so dope, and filmed perfectly.
Truly honored! thanks so much!
In trepida attesa della lezione del maestro 💥💯💥💯💥🔝
🔥🔥🔥
Excellent wisdom. I had been anticipating this video to see what you use in the woods. Thank you!
thanks my friend, hope you are doing well!
This vídeo is awesome Alex 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Perfect set for outdoors ❤
You are amazing my brother !!!
I always learn with your videos , sometimes I even download them to watch many times I need to get all the gear that you use !!!
Keep up the good work !
Cheers from Japan 🇯🇵
Thank you Brother! Your words make me happy!
Excellent love the minimalist approach 👍 ive done a similar pack with my Hiddenwoodsman freetown waistpack or fanny pack lol✊️🔥✌️💚
HiddenWoodsman makes great stuff! Glad you like my minimalist approach!🔥
@AlexWander I recognize you from the grayl commercial I pre ordered my 24oz and already have the titanium 16oz cheers brotha keep rocking ✊️🔥✌️💚
Sei sempre di ispirazione! Grazie 🔥🙏🙏🙏
Grazie infinite Matteo!!!!
Great Pack ! I love the titanium Grayl !
Thanks! I love it too!!!!
Excellent video! I'd love to see a follow up that includes the carry system, the clothes you would wear in this type of situation, and maybe even a shortlist of things you have left out to save weight (Some people might swap these in if it fits their needs).
Beautiful cinematography and a great kit.
thanks man! 🙏
Thanks for sharing your awesome set up!
Thank you so much for the kind words!
wow... this was awesome! great kit.
thanks so much, it took me a lot of time to put everything togheter!
nice video, the gear videos are awesome 😊👍🏼
Thanks so much!!!!
Great video with a lot of good info. The Grayl is definitely on the list of things to pick up. The price for the buttpack is crazy thought! $160! I think I'll have to wait until another company copies it and puts it out for $50. Other than the bottle carrier it looks really basic.
Thank you!!! Yes the Buttpack is not really cheap for sure ! There are good alternatives on the market!
Awesome Alex ! Excellent Setup and Love the New Knife !
Thanks brother!!!!
Ottimo lavoro, si potrebbe dire 'guarda la prima linea di un uomo e ti dirà chi é!' 😊
Grazie infinite! 😉🙏🙏🙏🙏
Awesome knife! I hope it’s available soon!
That is a tight set up! I recognize the thought put into the items usefulness.
Your appreciation means a lot! It took some time to get it just right.
Cool essential kit and really new ideas to me. 👍
So glad to hear that ! Thanks!!!!🔥🔥🔥
Awesomeness great video experience as always!!! I’m from the future 🤓
Hope you are gonna enjoy it! welcome from the future!😁
Thanks for sharing Alex
Thank you for your support! 🙏
I like my Grayl hip pack, but I wish they had thought to install shock cord on top. It would have been a great place to store a rolled up rain jacket or poncho. I like it for day hikes, but have found more versatility in using the Helikon Tex Foxtrot MK2.
I pre-ordered the Geo Ti as soon as it came online. I like the Ultra Ti, but it's kind of small. The Geopress Ti is going to be great! (When I hopefully get it in April)
Thanks for the video Mr. Alex, I look forward to watching your content when new videos come out. Peace Brother! ✌️🙂
I agree with you about the shock cord thing! Can't wait to hear Your feedback about the new Titanium Geopress! Thanks to have enjoyed the video!
I’m curious to learn what the jacket is you’re wearing.
It’s a Carinthia PRO PRG 2.0 jacket 👍
Awesome set up Alex
Thank you man!!!!!!
Nicely done man! Good info and your editing style is out of this world!
thanks so much man!!! 🙏
Great video man. That was straight to the point and really enjoyable to watch.
Truly honored , thank you!🔥
Good video. Thanks.
No thank you for enjoying it !🙏🏻
Awesome video! Thank you!
I like how stream line your kit is
Thank you!
Another great video, Alex sir! I keep looking at the Geopress but too frightened to put it in the basket 😊
Knife looks amazing!
Thanks man! I know. It's not Cheap, but it's an amazing piece of Kit!
@@AlexWander It’s not so much the cost but whether it’ll be put to good use.
Not much by way of water source in my locations.
That knife looks exactly like what I'm looking for! Any more information on it would be greatly appreciated.
It’s Called a Menoceras Sentinel made by us Wandertactical, 28 cm overall , 4 mm thick, we can make it by order 🤙🏻
“Survival Lily” sells the APO-1 knife. It’s similar to yours, with some extra features, like a pummel tool at the end of the handle.
I can understan dyour point of you, mine has a kind of glass breaker at the end of the pommel that would be enough for me in the woods, it's made in italy by us and it's not made out AUS * steel which I don't like 👍
@@AlexWanderwhen do you think it might be on the market???
I can make them by order !
Great pack.
Thanks!
Very clever!
Your support means a lot to me!
Great video. Awesome set up.
Thank you!!!
I used to work as a cashier and stocking before and I hate sharpies it's brand name and all that but trust me it's exponentially better and will last longer and usually same or very very close in the same price too, I say use a duramark has been way better for me especially writing in cardboard for 8 hours a day would last about 3-4 weeks unlike maybe 2-3nighrs max if I used a sharpie
Thanks for your hint! I will definitely check Duramark !
Can we get an updated version/long-term review of this built out kit? I just bought the grayl hip pack to set up for day hikes/expeditions like you
Hello Kevin, I’m using this kit since almost a year, I would personally never show a kit or a piece of gear that I’ve not already used and tested . 🙏🏻
Outstanding!
thank you !🤜🤛
Nice light load out if you have to minimize - subbed and following!
Thanks so much!!!!!
This channel’s quality is way beyond subscribers, if you stick with it - it will be big.
Ythanks so much for your words !!!!!!I will keep doing my best!🔥
This is my fanny pack. Wait one more thing. No wait, one more thing. No no wait, one more thing.
Waiting is part of the process 😁
Great solution 🙌🙂
Thank you my friend!
What boots are you wearing at 1:50?
They a are called Brenner GTX from Hanwag 👍
another great video, thank you for sharing
Thank you!!!!!
Ci sarò! Alex forever!!
Grazie infinite !🙏
Good information. Thanks.
thank you!!!
Now that Bushcraft Outfitters closed. Where is a good spot to get the tarps? The MEST tarp was perfect for me.
I agree , they made some of the best tarps I've tested in years. Honestly I still looking for something similar . If I find something with the same Quality/price ratio I will make a video about it.
Making a fire is banned in your country?! That is a sad statement
Unfortunately it’s true, I do it anyway , I just have to be more Careful 💁
I have two Grayl filters but passed on the titanium version . I feel if the titanium cup is dented in the field, the seal which pushes the water through the filter may become compromised allowing unfiltered water to pass through. The plastic version is more resistant to dents in my opinion. What do you think?
Honestly I’ve used so many TI Grayls from preproduction models to the final products during all the Commercial Shootings and all my adventures and After more than a year I’ve never encounter this issue, and honestly Several times my ti Grayls fell hitting the ground badly 💁
$220 for this filter is wild.
I can understand your thoughts 💁
Awesome video, like others one 🔥
Thanks brother!
Hi, I love the vibe of your videos, it's dramatic and intense. Great job. Please tell me how you achieve this effect. camera, lens, video post-processing?
thanks so much! I use a Sony A7 III Camera with Sigma Art Lenses and Deity MIcrophones. My favorite editing App is Final Cut Pro X
great video, where do you get that black gas can cover from mate?
It’s not a cover, I painted it 😁
Amazing video man 🔥🔥🔥
Truly honored thanks !!!!!!!
What sling bag is that
It’s a Grayl Hip Bottlelock 👍
definately needmoreemergency food energy providing carbs and protein suger and fat source as inmidiet intake in case incident happen and not able to hunt
Great video, when does the knife come out?
We will make a limited series soon! Stay Tuned!
Bravisimo 👌🏼
Thanks so much!!!!
Hey in 1:20 the pouch, what is the Name of the product. I can‘t find it
It's a pouch that comes with the Fjallraven Lapland Hike 15 Backpack
www.fjallraven.com/eu/en-gb/bags-gear/backpacks-bags/trekking-backpacks/lappland-hike-15
You say you carry the 5 essentials but I thought if added cargo tape, a canvas needle and bandana you are carrimg the 10 essentials
Hello there! you're difinitely right! Gorilla Tape is already inside the Kit, I have a sailing needle in my wallet! I will add a coottn bandana for sure, thanks for sharing!
The most important item for survival are decent false teeth.
What is the brand of jacket you are wearing ?
I can't 100% confirm, but a similar jacket would be a Fjallraven Keb EcoShell jacket, or a Arc'teryx Beta LT
It's a Carinthia Pro PRG 2.0🙏
As somebody who creates outdoor adventure videos as well, love your colour grading and content. Subbed. I shoot on Sony Zve1 and Log Would love to know what lut you use.
Hey there! So glad you like my color grading! I Subbed your channel too, thanks so much for the Subs! I shoot with Sony A7III and edit with finalcut pro, I color grade with Color Finale PRO and some of the LUTS I use are from Motion VFx or Lens Distorsion, even I use them at 30% max, Luts become too much over this percentage IMHO 🤷🏻
@@AlexWander That's awesome thank you.
Really like the survival vibe you and your videos bring. (Jelous) :)
Hey, great video! How many litre is the dry bag?
This one is 1 liters dry bag ✌️
Great Channel love it. What's the Jacket you have on?
Thank you so Much! It’s a Carinthia Pro PRG 2.0 👍
@@AlexWander Love it and amazing content. Thank you
hey what do you think about "OKO" water filters ?
Ehy there! honestly I've never tried one out! Sorry, but thanks for showing me this new product I'll dig into it!
eat enough to keep the blood sugar in a functional range and bm working fine
True ✌️✌️✌️✌️
Great Channel! Where can i buy the small tent/tarp?
Thank you! Unfortunately the company went out of business 💁 but Incan give you all the specs!
@AlexWander
Yes plz!!! I love this setup and I’m thinking of having a similar setup to this one !!
Hi Alex, just got my geopress Ti and hippack, may I ask how did you attach your knife on your left hip?
@@ethant6318 Hello Ethan, I’m using a Malice loop made of plastic to keep it attached to the right side of the waist belt
@@AlexWander Thank you Alex!
@@ethant6318 My pleasure! 🙏
Where did you film this it's beautiful
Italy, nearby where I live , thanks!!!🙏🏻
@AlexWander I have a question for you if you don't mind me asking with everything going on the war in Russia with Ukraine and Iran vs. Israel has there been an increase in prepping like have you seen or heard of people making bugout bags or plans incase of anything. we get news here in the USA, but I don't think I've seen generally how it's affected civilians who are literally a small flight from all that conflict has this effected the people in your area or is everyone living normally with an ear out just listening or not paying to much mind to it
@beserkking you can ask whatever you want man! To me Russia VS Ukraine, Israel VS Iran and soon we will see China VS Taiwan represent the first three layers of what we are going to call Third World War, IMHO this world is not going to be like the WWII to me . Here’s some people is worried, some other don’t even know what is happening but very few knows what a BOB or an escape plan is. We honestly are the least ready for what’s gonna happen even I’m sure that war won’t land physically on our soil. Hope I’ve answered to your question, please let me know if I miss something🙏🏻
@@AlexWanderAhhhh Italia! Quanto mi manchi Italia!
What jacket are you wearing in this video?
It’s a Carinthia Pro PRG 2.0 👍
@@AlexWander Thank you for the reply. I have recently found your videos and have been loving all of them.
@WhenHeavenBurns thanks so much!!!!!🔥
Your whole country banned open wood fires?
Yes 💁
@@AlexWanderwhat county are you from sir?
@FiglioBastardo I’m from Italy
@FiglioBastardo Italy 🤙🏻
@@AlexWander Si ho visto in un altro commento. Sono stato lì x il primo volte nell'estate di 2000. L'utimo volte x me era 2010-2013. Oh quanto mi manchi Italia!
🙏❤️ Love from Scotland ❤️🙏
bruh 260 euros for a water bottle and a can what the fuk is this lol. this whole fanny pack thingy is like 1000 euros,
With all due respect is way less than a 1000 euros and have the chance to safely filter water, boil it with one piece of kit definetly worth 199$ If you spend a lot of time out in the woods it definetly worths every penny 🙏
Sure if id have the money id get it, until then ill stay with my 20 euro thermos, 15 euro lifestraw filter and 20 euro cooking gas+ messkit
@snuffying lifestraw doesn't remove chemicals and metals, geopress does. I have a $100 plastic bottle, it works awesome just travelling, removes chlorine from tap water.
You can grab the basic 24oz Grayl Geopress for half that price. The titanium thing really appeals to the ultralight peeps or the EDC peeps that have a ton of cash to blow to make their gear match or their kit weigh .00002 oz less. Even still the Grayl itself is an unnecessary item. I just put a sawyer squeeze in-line on my 3L hydration bladder hose. Single wall stainless bottle on a fire does the trick. Aquatabs, etc. All a very small fraction of the cost. I’d highly recommend a sawyer squeeze over the lifestraw though.
It’s the same I did my friend when I started!✌🏻
Lmfao what a shill
Companies do pay to have popular youtubers advertise gear. Mock all you want, but thats how the real world works
@@redrustyhill2 oh really no way... Duh that's what a shill is... You're naive of the world that we inhabit.
