    i don't know of this will be seen, but is a gouge necessary for spooncarving or is it just the case of making it 10 times easier than knife only?

    Woodcraft hamster I hand made mine in a open fire I can't afford tools myself so I makes everything watching my old Romany gypsy friends do it that was years ago when I was 17 I'm 43 now a ole git lol 💕💪🐺🐾👌

    Some good advice here. I agree that a gouge is more useful than curved knives for spoon carving as well as other uses. My preference is for a bent 7-25 however, like you say, it is nice to have more tools if you can afford them. Thumbs up.!

    I ordered a spoon knife and I had to choose a left hand or right hand style blade, i think I got the wrong one, so watch out for that when you get a spoon knife.
