Today i strolled down Hollywood Boulevard they shoot a movie possibly joker 2. Hollywood Boulevard was transformed back to 1985 next to the glitz and glamour you see the real Hollywood , people are homeless. I explored Hollywood Boulevard seen the stars on the walk of fame, handprints and footprints in front of the man Chinese theater. I also visit the inside of the theater, very beautiful I walked all the way down to the Funko pop store. Lots of photo opportunities.i love hollywood

Honestly this was just depressing (not your video, but the state of Hollywood). So sad, just looks like cesspit of human depravity, like so many neighbourhoods in LA now. I have travelled all over the world and never seen anything even remotely close to what I saw in LA last year. It has changed so much from the previous times I have been there, super sad.

@@James-wv3hx There are no homeless encampments that's for sure. We also do not have the fentanyl crisis the US has so no zombie people running around everywhere. Is there homelessness and addiction? Sure. But absolutely nothing like this. I love LA and am most likely going to end up living there next year due to work, I'm not hating on it, but it truely is in a sad state. I have never in my life (even in so called developing countries) seen people taking a shit in the middle of a subway platform, walking around naked on the train, the amount of people out of their mind yelling at random people and the scale of the homeless encampments (all of which I saw within my first two hours in LA last year). It was very sad, and was definitely not that bad when I have been there in the past.

The dream was to move to Hollywood or LA make it in the movies. I ended up living in LA working on creative projects in early 2000. Its become unaffordable for the struggling actor trying to make it worse than ever before. Being an extra in Hollywood you're just one of many trying to make it. Working people in LA need affordable housing.

I recently visited Los Angeles where I attended the LA Conservancy's annual Last Remaining Seats event at the fabulous and wonderfully restored Los Angeles Theatre in downtown LA with my daughter and her husband. It was a great event -- packed house -- and it felt like the old glory days of Hollywood movies. The next day I decided to take the new subway line up to Hollywood Boulevard just to see the old street (I had lived in Los Angeles in my younger days and I would often see movies at the grand old theatres there, including Grauman's Chinese Theatre). I got off the metro line at Hollywood and Vine, right across the street from the awesome Pantages Theatre where I had seen many movies as a young man. I walked about three blocks or so west, toward the Egyptian theatre but I had to turn around. I was sickened by the disgusting things I saw -- homeless people lying across the sidewalk right on the Hollywood Walk of Fame where the stars names are featured in beautiful plaques. Panhandlers, and mentally disturbed people -- one repeatedly banging his head against a sign for no apparent reason -- were on every block. The stench of marijuana was everywhere, and filthy garbage tossed all over. I saw one homeless person take a pizza box out of the trash and throw it across the sidewalk right in front of me. I couldn't take anymore. I turned back toward the metro station and got back on the subway and went back to where I was staying that week.
What a crime this is to let this one-of-a-kind place with so much history go to waste like this. The city officials and law enforcement should be ashamed at what they have let this wonderful historic place come to. I could only imagine what the few tourists I saw thought of this place.

They provided several old cars and trucks for Shawshank including the truck Red rides in after being freed from prison. Today, through your video, I can see how changes have occurred. By the way, I was there at the Chinese Theatre when Darth Vader, C-3PO, and R2-D2 planted their footprints in cement. I was maybe eleven years old then, and was lucky to be in the crowd, maybe ten feet away from the footprint area. A photo of the ceremony was on the cover of Famous Monsters magazine. A few years after that, a bunch of friends and I camped outside the Egyptian Theater nearby for “Return of the Jedi”, and by then the fandom had grown. Great stories from the strange and mysterious world of Hollywood.

4:15 While you say "I can't really tell who is in the movie" you zoomed on Bobby Cannavale (the guy in that brown jacket and necktie) who is a pretty famous actor. So now we know that he is in that movie.

I know what they’re filming just by seeing Mia Goth there. They’re filming the new movie Maxixxine. The sequel to the horror film Pearl.
I saw actor Bobby Cannavale as well. Cool!
I love when they turn the city back a few years. I was living there when they did once upon a Time in Hollywood. It was so great to walk up and down and see the 60s come to life. Thank you for this cool video.

They weren’t filming Joker 2, they were filming Maxxxine which is the third installment of the X franchise. Mia Goth is the lead and Bobby Canivale is tied to it as well. Great video! Big love from Canada!

  • @eily_b

Sorry to disappoint but most likely *no Joker 2* shooting. I am pretty sure the guy with the 80s suit and tie standing there across the street at 4:20 and at 4:35 on the right side just behind the car is actor *Bobby Cannavale* . The movie they are shooting therefore is *MaXXXine* . This is what IMDB has to say about it: "Follows Maxine, who was the only survivor of the bloody incidents of X, as she continues her journey towards fame to be an actress in 1980s Los Angeles. -The third part of the X trilogy, after X (2022) , and Pearl (2022)." Takes place in L.A. in 1985. Other actors are Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad), Mia Goth, Lily Collins, Michelle Monaghan, Kevin Bacon... Never heard about the first two movies. 😉Just googled them. X is a Slasher movie taking part in 1979... and Pearl plays in 1918, the Spanish Flu is raging but Pearl who lives with her religious German mother wants to be a dancer... And we all know by now that Maxine is an adult actress.
