For sure, the felon Trump is responseble for this......
Hahah True
It’s funny how they’ll allow paparazzi to film and take pics but when someone else wants to they get told to leave
@@3hooks781dude if they actually cared abt what was filming and what wasn’t be it paparazzi or a very respectable person like GIV then they would go around the internet trying to get rid of the photos and videos taken so you can’t say they don’t want them there bcuz a lot of the time they rly do
@@3hooks781also GIVE wasn’t even doing any “poking around” he simply stumbled upon this and decided to film it and the lady who sounds suspiciously like a man got all mad and called the cops over it
@@radiohostalastor My direct quote:
"intrusive poking around game that paparazzi does".
Didnt say GIV did that.
They don't allow the paparazzi, they tolerate the paparazzi. The paparazzi have been doing this for years, know the law (doesn't mean they obey it themselves) and have an attorney ready.
A person with their cell phone trying to record footage gets treated with disrespect because they think it's a civilian. If you were a person capturing footage on your shoulder with a professional still or video camera they would probably treat you with a bit more respect.
He was probably wearing those sun glasses, freaked people out!
That police officer looked like he could have been in a movie :D
he was Sylvester Stallone
Sounds like Wayne Newton
Love how you laugh that security guard off😂😂😂
Nobody tells the GiV what to do!
I agree ☝️
wrong I just did and so did you or are you really that stupid
GIV was filmed on another YT site called ...shacked...filming GIV while he was filming Cage
@@pigdroppings so meta
Only umbrella man.
The GiV is a ViG (very important German) in Venice Beach and, doesn't need to be doged by a rent a security guard. I loved how the GiV laughed it off! 😂
I remember the strand in Venice back in 1985. There were so many merchants and performers. It was packed with people, it was the boardwalk.
i would be more stoked to meet the GIV than Nicolas Cage if I'm ever lucky enough to visit venice beach.
Amen
So true! He's such a sweet, authentic guy.
It's a shame Nicolas Cages crew didn't want to be filmed by the famous German in Venice. Don't they know that the GIV would have given this up and coming artist the global exposure he would need if he ever wants to make it in Hollywood.
😂
@TwiddleBee chill buddy it's pure sarcasm. 😎
Does 'up and coming' mean 'I need to churn out 6 movies a year to pay my bills?'
you really must be on some super drugs to think Nicolas Cage needs an exposure boot from ANYBODY on youtube (and with that said Im assuming you were only joking about it anyway)
Who cares 🤦🏻♂️
You can film anything you want on public property. It’s called the 1st Amendment. And you have a right to be on public property. It’s your property.
Absolutely sir! 👍🏻
exactly you can sue them for that.
Incorrect!
When considering the First Amendment and its implications for filming on public property, like at the beach, the following points are relevant:
1. Public Spaces and Free Speech: Public beaches, parks, streets, and similar areas are typically considered public forums where First Amendment protections are robust. These areas are generally open to the public, and activities like filming are usually protected as forms of free expression. The government cannot arbitrarily restrict these activities without a compelling reason.
2. Reasonable Restrictions: While the First Amendment protects the right to film in public places, this right is not absolute. The government can impose reasonable time, place, and manner restrictions on filming. These restrictions must be:
• Content-neutral: They cannot be based on the content of the filming.
• Narrowly tailored: They must serve a significant government interest, such as safety, traffic control, or environmental protection.
• Leave open alternative channels: They must allow for other means of expression.
For instance, a city might require permits for filming in certain areas to manage congestion or ensure public safety, as long as these requirements are applied fairly and consistently.
3. Privacy Concerns: Even in public places, privacy considerations can come into play. Filming individuals in a way that invades their reasonable expectation of privacy (like using zoom lenses to capture private moments or sensitive areas) can lead to legal issues, even in public settings.
4. Commercial Filming: For commercial purposes, like a movie or commercial shoot, additional regulations often apply. Governments might require permits or fees to use public spaces for extensive commercial filming, to address potential disruptions and ensure public spaces remain accessible to others.
5. Protected Areas: Some public spaces, even if generally accessible, may have restrictions due to specific considerations. For example, filming in certain nature reserves or protected beaches might be limited to protect wildlife or preserve the environment.
6. Law Enforcement Interactions: The right to film public officials, including law enforcement, in the performance of their duties is generally protected under the First Amendment, as long as the filming does not interfere with their activities.
In summary, filming on public property, such as a beach, is broadly protected under the First Amendment. However, it is subject to reasonable time, place, and manner restrictions designed to serve significant governmental interests and preserve public order.
Did you hear the Security cursing at him?!!! poor GIV
@@Eric_In_SFthere’s no such thing as amendments in America anymore
I don't know why actors feel or think that they are above us or that they are different from us when they are on the street. 😒🤔
It wasn't the actor, it was a Karen security guard.
Love it when you video in Venice and Santa Monica, Thanks for sharing such interesting things that are happening around town. Love the GIV!
I would think if they wanted an authentic Venice Beach setting for their movie they would love the GIV in a background shot!
I was thinking the same thing. The GIV is a VB icon.
Lol. Ha
You can stand on public property and film in any direction you wish.
not when the studio is renting that space. they own that space until there done shooting.

I actually did accidentally walk onto a shot in the movie 'Hoot'. Was working inside a boat at a marina in Ft Lauderdale and went to go get something from my truck. I walked past a salty looking guy sitting on a 5 gallon bucket wiping the hull of a sailboat that was out of the water with a rag. He didn't seem to be doing anything productive and was giving me the stinkeye as I walked past and I'm thinking 'wtf is HIS problem?' Then some kid rides past me on a bike... About 30 feet later some dude pops out from between some trailers on the side (out of the shot) with a radio and tells me I ruined a take.😂
Oops! They should have left you in for authenticity
California is wild. You're standing on Venice Beach watching a multi million dollar movie being made with mega star Nicholas Cage and the camera pans to a homeless lady hopping around with her green sock high on "life". The irony. They don't call it Hollyweird for nothin'. 😅😅 As always, thanks for the entertaining content GIV.
This is ridiculous. Very few people even care about “movie stars” anymore. The production company should let any pics be taken just to help build hype in an underground manner.
Good job GIV!🎉
I liked Celebrities more when I was younger, but as I get older I realize that they are all just people like us, that other people just stick a camera in their faces and film. They have all the flaws like everyone else. Nicolas is a good actor but I think that he is Very greatful that his uncle, the very famous director ( Francis Ford Coppola) probably got his foot in the door for him.🤙
@@scottgalbraith9656 yes, Cage actually does seem like he would be very cool in person. It’s just the whole over the top production and some random guy (GIV) can’t even take a pic from 9000 yards away and all of the demons in the industry that are exhausting. Fans like GIV are what is keeping this industry alive.
@@scottgalbraith9656Glad that Nicolas pushed on through that crack in the door and made the most out of the opportunity! He has made a lot of my favorite movies!
Looks like a stupid movie anyway
Your perspective is bias and only applies to your personal beliefs or opinions. Which does not apply to business rights or privacy regulations as a whole from a state or federal level. willful acts that are literal invasion(s) of privacy should never be tolerated or ignored due to another person’s lack of understanding or their failures in obtaining reasonable information. It’s 2024, but a large majority doesn’t understand their basic rights. Ignorance is no longer a justified excuse. Mistakes of laws or mistakes of facts is not a valid defense. incomprehension should not be glorified or encouraged.
You can film anywhere in public, it's your right, and the cop's know it. If they don't want people filming, they should do it on private property. Glad you went and filmed what you did Mike, because these people aren't special, their not better than any other human just because they get paid big money and are seen on the big screen. I have much love for you GIV, because you are so kind and humble, and you look at thing's in the world as special, and then share how you feel with us. I don't believe in being a fan, i look at the person, because some people are either full of themselves, or they are fallible like we all are. G-d bless from a lady in Michigan.
No that security thing (because let's be honest that ain't no woman) went and LIED to the police to get her way, what a low piece of crap human being she is.

Sooo good to see Venice Beach again. Like the people and atmosphere there. Missed it.
This Hollywood bunch is so entitled. Public space is public space.

Dont watch hollyweird movies. Ever. Its over for the pedo clowns.
They paid for this space and if you not letting them do their job and film the movie they won't shoot in your city again it's your loss many countries will pay money to have movies made their
I’m in the film business. She is not supposed to do that if you are on public property. It’s ok then. If you are in the shot then they can politely ask you to move out of the shot. That’s it. As long as you don’t interfere in the production. Or disturb the actors.
Why are crews typically so snooty towards bystanders and people that film in public? Why is that typically the mentality? I understand spoilers and what not but it always like this even for the most insignificant scenes
A crew was filming two houses over from me on my day off as I turned on the electric gizmo to trim my bushes. A crew member. runs over and asks me if I could hold off on running the machine because their mics were picking up the noise. I said sure, and went to the beach.
I am sure someone told her to move GiV. Didn’t she say she didn’t care if he filmed?
Blame all your local politicians for the lack of tourist visiting your state
Naw…😂
Or the fallout from covid...or the reaction to the homeless taking over the place for far too long, or, or or.... name your reason and 8m sure youll make it fit!
Venice Beach might not be getting tourists, but other parts of Southern California are. I recently met a family from Japan that got turned away when trying to go to Disneyland because the park had no more room. They had to make reservations to assure a spot the next day.
Blame the people who vote those politicians into office.

They should have to get a permit from YOU to film on your beach!
GiV, you always lift my mood. Best commentary ever. Keep up the great work and stay safe out there.
Love your sunglasses! Really futuristic! And yes, you have every right to film on public property. We are in America. If the movie folks don’t want the public to film, they should go find a closed set and CGI the beach into the background, lol. Notice they willingly let the paparazzi take pics, though. Nic and the movie will probably get paid for that picture, that’s why.
Gonna be on the lookout for the GIV in the background of that movie 😂

Since the US is falling apart, European tourists are going to South Asia. Forget about Miami, LA, and NY
Yep true that, Europeans are not even frequenting California, or USA hardly. I just visited Asia and it is infested with Europeans.
One simple reason: US is too expensive. Crazy hotel and rental car prices, plus what you spend at attractions and for decent food is considerably more than it used to be. You get better value elsewhere.
As Alex Jones Has Said..."It's ALL By Design" ‼️💯
@@lizalauda1903 I went to Hawaii and the cheapest hotel I could find was $400.00 a night. The beaches are dirty and homelessness is a major problem
The reason loads of people no longer go to Venice Beach is because it's developed a poor reputation. Mainly, people now associate Venice Beach with homelessness. And the homeless are thought to mostly be mentally unstable people who can be dangerous.
Moreso is the deteriorating economy with small businesses having to close everywhere (in blue states), thanks to bad Democrat policy.
Sad...

You covered everything like you usually do on Venice Beach and wrap it together in the perfect package. Nicholas Cage was an added bonus and apart of the backdrop during your filming. To me it seems you weren't doing anything wrong filming in a public parkinglot or interfering in the filming of the movie. The police officer who talked to you seemed pretty chill about things. I've seen alot of Nicholas Cages movies and have liked them. Also think he's a fairly decent actor. He's older now and not doing back to back blockbusters like in the past. He still works but his life is very different from those earlier days. I also saw an interview where he left LA and lives in Los Vegas now. As usual your content and quality are excellent. I'd rather go in there than the latest Nicolas Cage movie. The new films with the old faces are unfortunately usually very trashy, whereas GIV is authentic
Mike, I'm glad you stood your ground!!! F dat B!! The 911 callers ALWAYS imbellish calls to get the cops out when it involves filming in public. Another power hungry rent a cop! Also kudos for telling off the actor trying to direct your movement in a public space!
One thing is for sure, his hairpiece is fabulous
I enjoy these type of videos. You actually showed a lot. That looks like a fun place to me. Regarding the Nicolas Cage movie, if any of his people are reading this comment: Watching what The GIV showed in this video makes me want to see the movie when it's finished. I like Nicolas Cage as an actor, but I don't care for most of the movies he's made. No criticism, but not my cup of tea. So The GIV is in a sense - promoting the film to people who would otherwise not be interested.
Don't these people realize being rude really kills the vibe and momentum of wanting to see the movie 🙄 These celebrities aren't all that!
