    I feel like a longer paddle for this kayak is a must sitting up that high and being a slower kayak. The longer paddle will help get the paddle down in the water faster.

      Yes, took it out today for the first time, i am 6'2", definitely need a 250cm paddle or more. Kept hitting the side of the boat and felt as if I was working to much to get the paddle in the water correctly. This boat in my opinion is a barge.

    For the price, I love it. I have had my Perception Outlaw 11.5 for about a month and fished in it probably 9-10 times. I may eventually invest in a pedal driven kayak so I can cover more water at a faster rate. I have a bass boat and I have fished out of my kayak more over the past three weeks than my bass boat.

      Kayak fishing is so much easier than boating, which makes you go more often

    Took mine out on its maiden voyage today. It was pretty windy/15 to 20mph sometimes/ and pretty much handled like a barge. Most definitely gonna put a trolling motor on it and a rod holder on the right side almost behind the seat pointing the opposite direction of the factory built in ones. An anchor trolley is a must also. It was a pretty fun experience although I was a bit unorganized and I'm happy I got it. This is a space upgrade for me from a pelican catch 100 which is a pretty niffy little kayak. I loaded everything but the kitchen sink on it. Lol

    Prob my fav yak..worked amazing out on the coast line flats while catching reds. About to get a second one for my son. My be slow but stability is awesome and like the clear from side with plenty of room to work around. Enjoy that you can put a filler in place of the seat and stand on it as well..don’t need my hip waders anymore..

    I have the same color outlaw, had it for about 3 months and I love it. Spent couple months researching kayaks before I purchased one. In my opinion this is the best bang for the buck fishing yak. I am currently building a transom mount for my short shaft (24") trailing motor. I love my boat, the stadium seating makes it easy to get up. For me paddle drives is out the question I live in Tampa FL and I fish skinny water and paddle drive is out the question.

    That fish tried to hide in your shoe! Lol! Really love your videos and enthusiasm for Kayaks and Kayak fishing. I purchased the Outlaw last month. Your review was spot on! I used it one time and sold it to purchase a Big Water PDL 132. I tried fishing one time fishing with the Outlaw in the Bay. The winds and tides picked up and I could not paddle in. I was paddling and staying in the same place. I had to get towed back in by the Harbor Police.

    Alex how is it VS the bonafide RS117? For standing up and stability?? Thx.

  • @cerescop
    @cerescop 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    It floats, it paddles, it's comforatble, but, how do you look in it. Buy it dude, you never looked better. lol. It also catches fish what could be better. It's also my favorite color, not green. The tracking comes from the hull shape, stability from the width. Looks like a winner. I love Tennessee, I had pickup points in Knoxville. I fueled in Smyrna. I miss being on the truck but I wouldn't get on it again for money. Good video, keepem coming.

    good review Aliex as always. Unfortunately for me I think my kayak fishing days are over due to some injuries I have that have been getting worse over the years and just making it not possible to really get out on the kayak anymore. going to be buying a new boat hopefully before next spring.

    • @AliexFolgueira

      Have you thought about getting an inflatable kayak and adding a motor ? Imagine the cubera but less weight

    • @BravoBassin
      @BravoBassin 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AliexFolgueira ya not a fan of any inflatable anything when it comes to fishing hooks rocks sticks and toothy fish! lol! and it is not only the weight it is the paddling as well as the sitting position that has become a big issue. I have back neck shoulder arm and leg injuries that I have had many surgeries on and I have pushed myself for many years as I live with constant pain due to these injuries and I have pushed through it for several years to keep kayak fishing but my first kayak trip out this year was a train wreck to say the least and I almost ended up in the hospital it was crazy rough and scary and it is just not worth the risk anymore so with a heavy heart I am selling all my kayaks I have sold all of them except my brand new vibe cubera 120 which has never even been in the water. I have the nice summit seat with the perch as well but I will never get to use it. going to go the boat route even though I love fishing out of kayaks it is the best thing for me.

    Oye Aliex! thanks for the video! I just bought one to use for fishing. I have yet to use it. What size paddle are you using ? I have a 240cm and have paddled a catch pelican pwr100 and that boat sucks to paddle! Do I need a bigger paddle 260 cm?? I’m hoping my outlaw paddles better than the pelican catch pwr100. I see the outlaw like a lighter ascend 128T, which I fished a lot from .
