Aliex - Thanks for the review. I am really glad you liked the boat overall. Your seat issues can be resolved by tightening the straps of the seat base and back. This type of seat relies on the tension of the fabric for comfort. We make these adjustable since fabric has a tendency to stretch over time. This allows you to keep and nice snug fit over the life of the boat. If you have questions please feel free to reach out and I will be glad to walk you through it. Hopefully we can connect at iCast again this year. Adam (Wilderness Systems)
adding my reply again for viewers Hey Adam, the bar is still an issue, we pulled the straps and took it on the water next day for a few hours and the bar was still an issue, I'll 100% pass by at icast! i would love to get one of this, the pdl version to do a proper full review on it.
I’ve had the recon for 4 months now and the seat is still uncomfortable, I’ve even bought the lumbar support ( the one you blow up ) and it’s still a issue sense the lumbar cushion deflated over time . I love my recon but I’ve been trying to find other seats I could attach but it hard given I have the pdl
I ordered the trolling motor mount from yacht Gadget how do I get the front piece that screws in the front of the bracket so the water doesn't come in as much, can you help me find it, please 😜 blessing
@@AliexFolgueira it would be great if you could list what trolling motors will fit there too. I'm guessing you have a few different ones. Also what speed did the Watersnake go in the low setting? Good for trolling?
Not at all, very easy to paddle and I think that's due to the keel design. I've got the HD model, I would make sure you've got a 250cm+ paddle. Also hard as hell to tip, you'll throw yourself before you tip this thing.
Wilderness Systems will not stand behind the design flaw in the seat! Apparently customers telling them it’s an issue means nothing to the company. Very sad. After owning 2 other boats from wilderness with no issues they refuse to admit they have issues with this seat in the recon 120.
When will anglers see metal kayaks made like flat bottom boats, but in kayak style at affordable prices ? Does anyone "know" or have info on this. Thanks.
@@AliexFolgueira I have one and have done a few videos the only thing I hate about it is how heavy it is… other than that it is an awesome fishing boat

I’m looking to get my first kayak and I would like some help from you. I’m 6’4 and about 280lbs this would be my first kayak and looking at stability vs speed.
One of the most stable kayaks that's probably out there is to feelfree Dorado 125. It has next to bass boat stability. My main need in a kayak was stability as well, the Dorado blew me away in that regard. And the seat is just ridiculously comfortable, probably the best kayak seat out there as well. At least that I've tried. I came from a pelican catch 100, then, within my fishing circle, was able to fish and try a Hobie PA-12, a Titan 12, and an old town predator pdl. Never tried the Dorado before I bought it, so I was out on a limb, but once I got it just fell in love with it. And I'm from Texas as well 99% of my fishing is in lakes and the Dorado does really really well on lakes.
I'm 6,2 about the same weight. I have a recon. It's great, I can stand up slowly. It's easy to paddle and maneuver and very stable. I havent had a problem with the seat bar yet
Hey Aliex, like the videos. Im getting ready to purchase my first fishing kayak and was wondering if you knew if there is a pedal system that folds back upon impact with underwater obstacles instead of having to flatten them out beforehand. I thought I seen it somewhere.
Goober likes the Outlaw better??!!! It is not Pedal ready for an easy upgrade. Let's see F.A. 🐳 to stand up and move around in that Outlaw!!! Also, with a 34"/ 35' wide kayak, you need a 250cm to 260cm min. paddle.
At this point what isn’t sold out ? And I bet you it is not that too many people want it it is more they for whatever reason can’t make enough and it is getting pretty annoying
Your verbiage does not match with the title. You love the Recon. You just hate the seat. A fish bag will just fit on the front hatch lid. A motorcycle tank cargo net would secure it nicely. Nice video, thumbs up.

Do you a video of you assembling the snakehead motor
can you guys do a trolling motor setup video on that recon trolling motor setup? Curious how you guys mounted it.
That video is coming soon

I'm interested in a comparison between recon 120 HD vs topwater 120 pdl
What is the motor mount and where can I get one?
What paddle are you using with the Recon? It sits so high up, i think I might need a 280cm paddle.
How's this one in the surf and coming back into the breakers?
Is this kayak hard to paddle because of the width? Wish you would do a tip video on this kayak

What do you recommend this wilderness recon or the bonafide ss127? What's more stable?
probably splitting hairs but i would say the recon, wider

Ya mean a Jon boat? Lol
You probably wont because flat bottom boats handle very poorly. Catamaran style hulls are superior.
You ever tested out the native Titan?
Ohh yeah search “Aliex native watercraft titan “

The hobie mirage drive with kick up fins, hobie outback has it
Jackson Flex Drive System I believe is what you are referring to.
Apparently we didn’t hear that the other boat has a lot more hull slap.
