    You chose well, flying on the day service. I cannot imagine doing this on a red eye. Yes, Scoot charges you for EVERYTHING except the air you breathe. Personally, I think the best value LCC is still Air Asia because you're paying everything in MYR which is so damn cheap, especially your meals. Hahahaha... I am glad the crew were jovial. Nothing better than that to set the tone. I love bumpy flights, and seated at the end tip - your experience is actually multiplied with the plane bending etc. Its fun! It looks like the airline has grown kinder the lay-overs... It used to be 24hrs. The fact that they get 2 nites now must be such a relief. Great video as always!

      Likewise! Day flight… if it’s super cheap I could possibly bear it again… or maybe try scoot plus. Air Asia would be a good option… I enjoyed my flight with them from KUL to SIN… and wouldn’t mind trying out their international long haul.. Melbourne to KL… or vice versa. Thanks for watching and commenting as usual!

      Changi is great! On my recent trip it was nice to see and explore terminal 1 (the jewel) and also see another terminal I had yet to see. Love the place.

    Nice one! Thanks for sharing. I am very keen to try Scoot between Sydney and Singapore. Hopefully sometime next year. So many places to visit, just not enough holidays away from work!
    It is a bit annoying when they control the tint on the windows!

      If you get a decent deal… possibly try scoot plus. Yeah… same here 😆 I’ll only have 4 weeks next year… we’ll see what happens… wish I had more time off. No worries, thanks for the comment!

    Is the turbulence towards the end of the flight or in the middle or is there constant turbulence throughout the flight, sorry nervous flier here

      @LukeCrisp  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey there. Turbulence can happen at any point during the flight. Generally your most likely to experience this during ascent or descent (after takeoff.:. Or during the phase of landing). It’s nothing to be concerned about. Think of it as driving over a pot hole on the road.. it’s bumpy and annoying… but your okay. Enjoy your flights! 😃 they are far safer than driving to the airport. Cheers 👍

    Nice video mate. Just two questions: which hotel did you stay in Singapore and what area? Also, did scoot offer you an upgrade to scoot plus via email or when checking in, and if so how much extra was the upgrade? That was an expensivie return flight to Aus! Probably could have bought a return ticket with Qantas for that much,and gained QFF points as well..Jetstar also flies from Melbourne to Singapore ( since scoot don’t fly there), perhaps worth a try next time?

      Hey Paul, I stayed at the Venue Hotel on Joo Chiat Rd… relatively close to the airport and a decent price. In terms of the flight price, I can’t remember if I mentioned it in the video but it was expensive as I had to change the flight date atleast on 2 occasions.. other than that originally it was super cheap. I was originally going to fly with jetstar on a previous trip, unfortunately my flight was cancelled (787 issues last year)…when I am flying I am also thinking of videos I can make.. so for me it’s not always about the price but trying something different.

      @@LukeCrisp Thanks for the reply, Luke. Yes Joo Chiat is very touristy, with the coloured Peranakan houses being very popular. In the past I’ve stayed at the V hotel in Lavnender, as Lavender MRT is literally below the Hotel, so it’s easy getting around Singapore and when heading to & from the airport. I’ve also stayed at the J8 hotel, ( which is cheaper & smaller than the V hotel) and is only about 5 mins walk from Lavender MRT.

    Does this kind of turbulance only shake ? or do they also drop? i'm afraid of the dropping feeling. had once sudden drop when i took jetstar

      I little bit of both to be honest… wasn’t overly bad though as it was expected.

      I hate them, I dont know why I used to fly without fear for decades, and now I shit on my pants with turbulence, I also feel the 787 whatever Boeing says have some active control over turbulence, is BS; the plane is lighter than a 777 or 747 by far, so what it possible compensates with this system, is in fact because being lighter makes turbulence more easy to notice, and after decades flying I need to say turbulence are way worse on 787 than on 777 or 747 in my experience, actually Airbus 380 is the less bumpy plane I ever flight on, but it also depends on the conditions and you cannot precisely ever compare, is very subjective, but I really hate turbulence, and more flying on 787.

    Great video. Interestingly, the online prices ( as add ons ) for the meals shown on your Scoot Cafe menu are AUD$19.00 I don't think SGD$12.00 converts to AUD$19.00 Something is out of whack or they have a currency conversion that rivals PayPal's
    Did you use the fancy new check in kiosks at Changi ?

    • @LukeCrisp
      @LukeCrisp  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry for the late response… yeah it certainly doesn’t.. unless they have bumped up prices in the new year? Doubt it though as that’s a steep increase. Possibly the prices changes for different destinations? I didn’t see the new kiosks, went to the check in counter. Cheers for the comment.
