After using XNURBS for the last year, I can say that I am a big fan of the software. I have been using Rhino for 16 years in an industrial design consultancy capacity and have found that this is a superb tool to accompany the existing Rhino tool-set. I wouldn't say it has replaced the surfacing tool, rather added to them, as for day to day quick concept surfacing it has really helped reduce time in getting crease free surfaces and when I need to labour over more complex surfacing with well considered internal curves, it really come into its own. For me the biggest help has been its ability to quickly and accurately solve 5 sided surfaces (and more, sometimes 6 and 7 sided) which would otherwise take me some time to create with conventional surfacing. For the price, it is a no brainier as the time saved has easily been paid back in the first few days of use. Certainly comes highly recommended and looking forward to see where this software will go in the future.
You should also try XNurbs, for normal 4-sided surfaces. I have found that it creates really good surfaces, especially if you have challenging boundary conditions. Nice video by the way.
Like this tutorial, I wonder if you can have a lecture that illustrates more detail about the principle of surface modeling, not only in rhino but also in 3D modeling in general, would be helpful. Btw, I'm currently an industrial design student who found your channel informative.
I prefer Rhino, especially the recent version. IMO, Rhino is much more user friendly than Alias, although, in terms of very high quality surfacing work Alias is superior. I have not use Alias for a long time.
Perhaps, you may want to watch this channel to see if Alias is what you need. I find this channel very useful th-cam.com/channels/03EmrGO7Mnt1DQISjzeCdQ.html
From their website: To manually install XNurbs to a folder you specify, you can rename the downloaded file extension from .rhi to .zip, and unzip it to the folder you specify - then refer to “Enabling the XNurbs Plugin” in the manual. By double clicking the rhi file, Rhino should automatically install and enable the plugin. After running the rhi file, you need go to the installation folder and open “XNurbsHelp.chm”, which provides the detailed instruction for using the plugin (Run Rhino, then Tools > Options > Plug-ins > XNurbs > details > File Name.). If you don’t know where Rhino installs the plugin, you can rename the downloaded file extension from .rhi to .zip, and unzip it to the folder you specify. Alternatively, you can get a copy of “XNurbsHelp.chm” here (without the videos). If “XNurbsHelp.chm” does not show properly, then right-click on the chm file and select properties. You will see an “Unblock” option. Click on it.
Please feel free to drop a request in the comment section if you have a 3D or CAD problem that is in need of a solution.

Hello Sim, I have a problem that would be cool if you can help me solve, how can I get in touch with you? Thankyou

Thank for the detailed feedback for XNURBS. I will be getting it. It is just too good and a definite time saver as you have said.

Ok sure. Thanks for the info. I might get it eventually.
PC Sim , I can recommend it. I use it a lot in my workflow.

Hi, currently, I don't have. Thanks for the feedback. I may make one soon. Thanks again.
How to install XNurbs for Rhino WIP ??? and where I can get XNurbs plug-In for free?? :D
Ultimately you prefer Alias or Rhino? I know Rhino quite well. I'm wondering if there is value to learning Alias.
