    There are so many negative comments. Why cant you guys give advice instead or being so rude? It's one thing to give constructive criticism and another thing to just pick apart someone's work. I think she did a good job she just needs to work on a few areas.

    I don't like how you can see the braids at the edges or in the part. I keep some of my hair out

      its a way where you could do a invisible part you just got to look it up on here

    • @iwannaquit6200
      @iwannaquit6200 9 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yea, the hair she applied on the part was way too thick and knotted too many times, if the the hair was braided a little closer in the front and less hair was used, it would've been perfect!

    Very good tutorial... I think an invisible part would have made it even more natural.

    As mentioned in the video, you can leave the perimeter out, and also leave some leave out near the part for a more natural look. However she is a young girl and the point of the style is to protect her hair, so leaving parts of her fragile edges out wasn't an option. Thanks for watching and I hope that this helped you.

    I actually get your point Njoy My TV. Call it protective styles if you want however, if you are wearing straight hair that is the opposite of the hair that grows out of your head constantly then that speaks volumes. There are protective styles using extensions that are kinky (4 category) that can be worn if you truly love your kinky hair and are trying to protect it. There are some people where I work who have been wearing "protective" long silky Indian hair for 3 years. I have yet to see their "natural" hair. So I get you.

      Why is it so bad to have versatility?
      We shudnt have to be confined to a particular type of hair.
      All of these subliminal racial comments are very sad.

    Are you supposed to be able see that it's crocheted on the top? The style looked nice, but I don't like how the top looked.

    I was shopping natural products online and the website proposed a great deal on crochet hooks. As I had no clue what this tool was made for, I came here on Ytube and I am litteraly shocked to see how black people are constantly creative in improving methods to manage our hair. I am losing my mind, everyday there is new style. Our community is so blessed.

    You can definitely leave hair out, but since she is a child I wasn't going to be anal about the part or "looking natural". Gotta keep kids in their place know what Im saying lol. Thanks for watching, hopefully it gave you some ideas

  • @AFRICANEXPORT
    @AFRICANEXPORT  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thats totally up to you, since she is a kid I wasn't concerned with it looking "real" but you can make this style as realistic as you want, be using leave out or using another braid pattern

      Coming further to the end I wanted to see the entire head. But because she knew that damn hair part was ugly we kept getting the bottom and sides of the hair instead of the top of the head.

      Do you mean the texture of the hair used, or the knots? If you mean the knots you can do the knotless crochet method. I was looking at some on Instagram and with practice you can get crochet braids that look natural.

    • @MarieGotMilk

    • @mone21121
      @mone21121 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Caitlin Moore she not using "weave", she's using extensions to do it. A weave is a method of applying the extensions to your head. therefore this is NOT weave...
