BEAUTIFUL YOU SONG: cdbaby.com/cd/a...
There are so many negative comments. Why cant you guys give advice instead or being so rude? It's one thing to give constructive criticism and another thing to just pick apart someone's work. I think she did a good job she just needs to work on a few areas.
I appreciate you taking the time to watch and SUBSCRIBE. Welcome to the family. Its a beauty, lifestyle and style channel, so expect a lil bit of everything.
Thank you again :O)
That part....there are better ways.
Your welcome. Thanks for watching. If you decide to do your daughters hair, I would love to see the results. Please share with me on Facebook or Twitter
I don't like how you can see the braids at the edges or in the part. I keep some of my hair out
I agree and I wish we could have seen the how it looked when finished cuz I wanted to see that part real good
its a way where you could do a invisible part you just got to look it up on here
Yea, the hair she applied on the part was way too thick and knotted too many times, if the the hair was braided a little closer in the front and less hair was used, it would've been perfect!
Mgmzz .
yes
Glad that you liked it . Hope yu enjoy the style as much as she did. I love crochet braids for myself too
Very good tutorial... I think an invisible part would have made it even more natural.
i agree.
As mentioned in the video, you can leave the perimeter out, and also leave some leave out near the part for a more natural look. However she is a young girl and the point of the style is to protect her hair, so leaving parts of her fragile edges out wasn't an option. Thanks for watching and I hope that this helped you.
I actually get your point Njoy My TV. Call it protective styles if you want however, if you are wearing straight hair that is the opposite of the hair that grows out of your head constantly then that speaks volumes. There are protective styles using extensions that are kinky (4 category) that can be worn if you truly love your kinky hair and are trying to protect it. There are some people where I work who have been wearing "protective" long silky Indian hair for 3 years. I have yet to see their "natural" hair. So I get you.
Why is it so bad to have versatility?
We shudnt have to be confined to a particular type of hair.
All of these subliminal racial comments are very sad.
OMG I've never seen people use synthetic hair like that. Her hair looks sooooooooooo good and natural. I love it !!
Are you supposed to be able see that it's crocheted on the top? The style looked nice, but I don't like how the top looked.
I was shopping natural products online and the website proposed a great deal on crochet hooks. As I had no clue what this tool was made for, I came here on Ytube and I am litteraly shocked to see how black people are constantly creative in improving methods to manage our hair. I am losing my mind, everyday there is new style. Our community is so blessed.
No ma'am! I hope you didnt leave the part like that!!
I do this to my 3 daughters hair and over the years have found many styling options for this technique. Nice job!
I would have liked to see the front. I'm not sure if that part with visible attachments is my thing.
You can definitely leave hair out, but since she is a child I wasn't going to be anal about the part or "looking natural". Gotta keep kids in their place know what Im saying lol. Thanks for watching, hopefully it gave you some ideas
Hmmmm I'm torn. The technique was awesome but the part could've been a whole lot better.
Thats totally up to you, since she is a kid I wasn't concerned with it looking "real" but you can make this style as realistic as you want, be using leave out or using another braid pattern
omg that part is hideous tho... like a sew in with the wefts exposed ...:(
I think she should have tried the invisible crochet method for the part area. All in all, nice hair
Coming further to the end I wanted to see the entire head. But because she knew that damn hair part was ugly we kept getting the bottom and sides of the hair instead of the top of the head.
What I love about them....the sythectic hair covering your own makes for a 24/7 greenhouse effect without having to be seen outside in a bonnet....and it looks so cute.
Nice work, but it looks like a zipper down the front of her head. She's petty do the invisible knot in the front please. Thanks for sharing.
This looks great!!....I am 1yr natural and have been sporting coils or a kinky fro mostly....I have been frustrated with trying to find new styles....I really like this!...and latch hook braids/styles have been around in the hood...since the 90's...I had forgotten about it......we are truly a creative people.....(the true Egyptians)......I love your video.....Thanks for sharing your tutorial!!
it nice, but i hate when stylist, pushes ones head, here and then, i dont like it, just becuase they are trying to explain to us.
Your daughter is so blessed to have such a talented mom!
yo part babygirl .... nooooooo, and what is she talking bout as natural as possible .... I cant
Lool I dying tho
Lala Michelle
😭😊😀😄😃
Lmmfao... I was saying the samething..
I have a FAQ (frequently asked question) on the BLOG> link is in the video description box
I just did mine today myself I'm only 12
I think that's awesom, sweetie. Yes, practice, practice, practice. Then that way you don't have to depend on anyone else to do your hair for you. You'll save alot of $ that way.
thank you so much for your encouragement
Absolutely gorgeous! I am not one for weaves or even straight hairstyles but I would rock this one because it doesnt look like it puts tension on the hair. SWEET!!!!
Im trying to figure out how she use heat in kenekelon synthetic hair hmm lol ok
clearly a blowdryer was used.
it's plastic. you can mold the texture of it with heat.
This is what we called Latch Hook Braids in my day and we only looped once and you looped 3 times. Very impressed by your blow dry technique. Very nice video.
The finished product looked great but I don't like how the straight hair looks at the part. I think Crochet braids are more suited for curlier hair
I've been growing my natural hair out about 2yrs now & I've been wanting to have a protective hair style & this is perfect!
Very Nice... but your rough with her head... lol
Check the link in the description box. My blog answers some frequently asked questions
I am weak at these comments
I love that you took the time to do this video and if that's your daughter then kudos! I see women let their kids leave the house looking all jacked up while the mom's hair be slayed!
Too obvious that it's fake
no it not so look at it and shut up because she try and i like it ok
Do you mean the texture of the hair used, or the knots? If you mean the knots you can do the knotless crochet method. I was looking at some on Instagram and with practice you can get crochet braids that look natural.
She wore it for 3 weeks. We just did a new set of crochet braids in a curl look. Will film something for y'all . Thanks for watching
The part could be better but the rest was amazing
Thank you, for taking time from your busy schedule to help us learn how to take care of our hair, also how to be creative with our hair styles. Thank you, be blessed!!
Looking forward to seeing more from you Vickey!
Poor baby. I would NOT want to go to school with my part looking like that. Weave shouldn't look like weave
That's why it's not weave it's crochet...
What? That's not a serious statement is it? She's using weave to do it therefore...it still looks bad
Caitlin Moore this is not a weave u jackass
Lol ok I'm a jackass. Another internet gangster. It is. And it looks horrible. Regardless of how you want to water it down.
Caitlin Moore she not using "weave", she's using extensions to do it. A weave is a method of applying the extensions to your head. therefore this is NOT weave...
Your daughter is a doll. She is so pretty. Love the protective style. You have skills.
Open parts look tacky
TranceBab3 the open parts looks terrible with the crotches showing; I thought she would have used the invisible method. Otherwise, it was very well done.
Refer to the details on the blog for FAQ and more pictures
part doesnt look natural
luchi Hood peeps pp
You were waaaaay ahead of most people with the crochet styles. Not sure why I never paid attention before
that is the FIRST time i am ever seeing that sort of braiding done...... it looks good. great job!!!!!
I love that type of protective style. I usually do it around winter time. I just love it.
Thats whats up! Thanks for watching and Im glad that you found it helpful in some way
omg. I'm doing mine tonight. like I'm literally finishing up my under braids as i type this & that tapering effect helped me a lot!
This a different spin on crochet braids to me. Its really unique and a new protective style idea. I love it cannot wait to try.
GIRL, kudos to you. I am a licensed cosmetologist, and I never knew you could even use Kanekalon hair in the manner.
1st of all, Babygirl is gorgeous! 2nd I really like & appreciate your practical no frills approach to teaching
This video is a great tutorial I have never done crotchet braids and caught on easy to this method and I don't have to worry about my hair slipping out I did one row trial and found that it was very easy and manageable. Thank you so much for sharing the knowledge because I am a college student and budgeting is important and I don't have the money to visit the hair dresser so I am currently natural once again thanks .... so much
I had to add, I love how you did your daughter's hair with the straight hair I never tried that.
Congrats on a million viewers... your video helped me spread the word about this protective hair style years ago. Thank you, you saved my hair. Xox
Thank You for this video!!! I was having a hard time keeping my knot in. Your technique is great and I like how you slowed it down so that we could see exactly how you did it.
I am totally amazed and awed by your dexterity with this. Thanks a million for sharing!
I can't stop watching this video, You did a great job. I was shocked that the blow dryer made it look like that, it looked flat ironed.
lol, Yep this is my alternative to using heat on my daughters hair. She IS getting older so I understand wanting "different" styles. Im just not gonna press or blow dry her hair regularly. I don't want that stress or commitment. These will do. We will be doing a curly look for her graduation/promotion
Im glad that you liked it . Thanks for watching
crochet braids have been around a LOOOOONG time.. I remember wearing them in the early 90's
After stalking this video for like 3 months I finally have the confidence to try this
I love what you have done and appreciate your channel. Thank ou for allowing us to watch you do our daughters hair. There ain't a damned thing wrong with you putting extinctions in your daughters hair or any little girls hair. For those who commented on any negative shut about my girl AE take that crap somewhere else!!!!!!!!
Yep you have tons of options with hair. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment
omgoodness, I never knew about this type of hair styling. I love it. I'm getting this style with wet n wavy human hair. plus i can do this style on my 10yr old with straight hair w/o continueing to perm her hair or mine. Thanks for a style technic that'll help me and my daughter go natural. Wow!!!!:-))))))
Thank you sooooo much for this video. I thought I've seen every style ever. I cannot believe my eyes. I love this idea! Thank you so much!
This is a great idea for winter, when you want to protect your own hair! You can rock faux hair and look great while your hair is hidden below the cold atmospheric elements!
omg THANK YOU. I've done crochet on my girls' before but didn't know you could use this hair and didn't know you can blow dry it out. It's about to go down!
loved it!
literally spent the last 2 hours researching this technique coz i'v never heard of it.
I love finding new stuff to do.
Thank you!
Woman, you're a genius! Excellent job.
I had no idea that you could blow dry that hair! I have been using that hair for 20 yrs, since I was 12. I just learned something new. Thanks A.E. :-D
I love this! I had no idea you could get braid hair to look so natural!
You did a good job and just made it even easier for me to get the crochet braids. Thank you.

That's a great technique! Curios to know who wouldn't love that! Any type of hair could be used & can save hundreds of dollars! Thanks for the idea!
I looooove this tutorial. Your explanations and demonstration are so clear and you make it seem so easy. I am happy you also showed is how the end product looks like and how to style it. I have my kanekalon hair and I am off to do my hair now. Thanx for the Vid
I love this way one 's hair self made! It 's so wonderful!
That is soooo cute....I can imagine someone doing this with a natural leave out. I'm going to try this.
I still have my crochet needle. Haven't worn the look since 1998. Gotta do it next weekend. Good job!
This is so beautiful!!! I've been so determined to not put any kind of other hair.with mine. Been doing relaxers for years but afraid my hairdos finally too.tired out and has broken off too much. Thanks for the tutorial! Looks.like I found.my first favorite protective style :)

I love this braid pattern. I plan on using it for my sew in...THANKS!
This is so awesome! I dont think I have the endurance to last long enough to finish this.
