NAMPOL CRACKDOWN ON PEACEFUL PROTESTERS

Community members were demanding plots (land) from Town council, but council authority called in the Namibian Police Force to disperse the protesters - a process that saw police officers tear-gassing and assaulting the unarmed and defenceless protesters.
One of the protesters, a female who was pregnant, is believed to have lost her pregnancy, and another man is believed to have died as a result of teargas suffocating, Police assault and denied medical treatment.
This happened on June 05 2015. Some of the victims (protesters) were supporters of Caprivi Concerned Group.
