I just found how to get the idle slower on the carb. Spray both sides of the post and spring area. Loosen cable screw and idle screw too. Work the idle lever a few times and spray more if needed. Got mine down low now especially in gear. Perfect for trolling👍

Sorry just reread this and I think you meant 4 stroke. I didn't buy a rebuild kit. Watch my Yamaha clogged fuel lines video which shows how I cleaned the carb. Unless something is broke or worn out a new kit is not required. Things to look for though is torn gaskets, stripped head on one of the jets, and fuel in the float from a hole somewhere? I had to buy a new float one time on my merc that I poked a hole in it from a screwdriver. That's why you see guys tap the float bowl cover with the back end of a screwdriver rather than trying to pry it open with the flat end. Woops🤣
Now if you need a new kit go to a Yahama marine OMC Dealer in your area. They either have one or you can order it. That will come with everything you need. But float bowls you would have to order separate but you can get them. Also if you need an impeller kit which is recommended every year but for me I just start my motor in a barrel before going fishing and check if its peeing good. If it starts getting weak or stops don't use the motor till you fix it. Sorry this is long but doing it for others who read this too. Thanks again for watching and leaving a comment👍
