Dropshot SMB Aug 3, 2022

Fun but challenging day on Lake Ontario chasing down smallmouth in these 2-3 foot waves.
I caught a few on horizontal baits, then pulled out the drop shot and put another nine fish in the boat.
In this short clip I introduce my favorite dropshot rod, TFO's Tactical Bass MBR C733-1, 7'3" ML Power Fast Action rod. I have it paired with a KastKing BFS reel spooled with 10 lb .Cortland Masterbraid with a 36-40" section of 10.9 lb. Cortland Top Secret Fluorocarbon
Would've shared a bit more footage, but it had too many easily identifable shoreline features & I really wanted to show case how well the rod works for this application rather than go pre-fishing for all of the viewers.
Rest assured the fish are still out there and ready to bite if you put your time in.
