Blade Bait Smallies of Lake Ontario, April 25, 2024

Super fun day out jigging the Steelshad (color- Kentucky Shad) for some deep water Lake Ontario smallmouth.
Water temp was 41- to 43-degrees, I fished from 10:45 until 4 PM and on my last fish of the trip I left them biting. It was just a crazy fun bite.
In a separate clip I'll talk more about the presentation and why I work the bait the way I do.

Rod = 4.6 oz + Reel = 4.5 oz , cast all day and never feel fatigued.

Leader: I use either the Top Secret Fluorocarbon, Cortland's tippet material or the straight XTR Fluorocarbon. The XTR is a bot stiffer, but works well for jigs and blade baits
