As a robin main I find this as a compliment because you need an actual video to beat him
As a Robin main, I'd like to highlight a few more things:
1. Down throw into up air isn't a kill confirm. It only works at relatively low percents. What CAN kill is an airdodge read at high percents, so keep your airdodges unpredictable.
2. Since Robin is so slow on the ground and doesn't have a good up-b out of shield, many Robin players will prefer to jump to escape pressure. Punishing that is essential. Also, Robin's tilts are meh since they can't use levin sword, so that makes jumping all the more common.
3. Levin sword nair has longer range than Cloud back air, so respect that move. If the Robin player whiffs, that's one charge less of Levin sword that they have.
4. The ball from Arcfire (before the flame pillar) cannot go through any hitboxes at all, so if you have huge hitboxes like MarCina or Shulk, you can punish arcfire safely as long as you space around the ball
5. People underestimate bronze sword fair. It can kill better than most other bronze sword moves.
6. Nosferatu only has 3 uses, so Robin players will try to condition opponents to shield so they can use it when the time is right. Be aware of that.
7. Discarded tomes and levin sword can combo into thoron, so be careful with them
8. It's very hard to combo off of arcthunder, but very easy to shieldbreak. Consider whether a shieldbreak is more threatening that 30%
9. You can't parry all the hits of thoron or arcthunder
10. For characters that can absorb energy, Elthunder is the best one to absorb.

Subbed! I came for how to beat Sonic, I stayed to see what counterplay you had for my mains. Really good stuff! Now I know what weaknesses and strengths I should be aware of for both my mains and for opponents I struggle against.
(I main Zelda and secondary Robin. Really cool to see a TH-cam who mains Link (super fun character!) and secondaries Zelda!)
I lost to a Robin in tourney today, so hopefully after watching this video I will be able to beat Robin's with my Lucina in the future, thank you very much for the helpful video 😊.

Came across a Robin player in elite smash and got destroyed and I basically realized it was the first time I’ve played against Robin. A scarce character choice gives them an advantage.

Robin is my most hated character. My best mate found away around everything so I can never hit him and he hits me 3 times with that stupid sword and I only need one more hit to lose a life. Hate him to op
Robin is a c teir character, they lose all of their moves. They are the opposite of op, they are only good in the right hands.

Use fire projectiles
king k rool projectile spam can definitely own even seasoned little mac players. It'll be easier to projectile spam since it's a flat stage.
