I appreciate the use of the grandfather's plane on every project. What I've done in my life is made sure that at least one board is used on consecutive projects. So, if I cut a length of an oak board for a table leg, I might use the remainder as a skirt on the bookshelf I build next. That way my last build has a generational connection to the first birdhouse I made in 1969. My grandfather's tools include a camel hair brush that has touched every single item I've built from jewelry boxes to dining room tables for over 50 years... and I still use the hammer he gave me for my 12th birthday.

I hear old timers talking about loss of the craft. Then I tell them have they ever looked at TH-cam. great to see this woman continuing her grandfathers work.

I have recently completed my studies in woodworking at a local college. Most of my classes were gender balanced. In a few there was only one man. We also had women instructors. Even so, it is important to encourage women to participate and to stay in the trade.

I think woman can make a great contribution to many crafts. Generally speaking, woman tend te have an eye for detail most man seem to miss, witch shows in all of the things being lovingly made. Though regardless of gender, we should all persue those things in life that make us happy, living life to the fullest. And this is an perfect example 😊

Men and women need to know there place in the world. We're confusing our kids. Making them think they can be either sex, do what you want, be what you want to be!! Oh what a future that's coming upon us!! Take a look at what baphomet looks like. That's your enemy.

There is , however a circumstance is which the term is not sexist.
When a woman is referring to a group of women "girls" is sometimes used (sometimes even "ladies") when addressing them (especially when trying to get them to do something). It seems to project cameaaderie.
