This might be my favorite out of all of them. The backstory is just so intense and you see Bruce at such a vulnerable point that he’s turned into this machine that really just doesn’t give a damn anymore.

The only reasons I can see for Dr. Fate not interfering to save cyborg is because all of the alternate earth batmen were present or having to do with the fact that there is something special about the metal which makes up most of Cyborg's body.
I like this because we see how Alfred’s moral codes have always differed from Bruce’s, as well as the depth of his feelings and convictions towards Bruce and the lengths he would go to in order to protect him. It’s a horrifying vision of a father’s desperate love for his disturbed, traumatized son.

I REALLY need to check this event out. It's nice to know that in 2017, there are still fantastic comic stories being released that rivals even those of yesteryear. I never imagined that DC would drop something so good and niche as a METAL event that twisted characters into evil version of themselves. It's like a fan boy's dream.

I’m a HUGE green lantern fan and I was stoked for The Dawnbreaker. I was convinced that it was going to be my favorite tie in. Nope. The Murder Machine, IMO, is the best tie in so far. It’s truly incredible. The art and story are truly amazing.

Next to the Batman Who Laughs and Dawnbreaker, Murder Machine is probably my favorite origin for Dark Nights Metal (plus the idea of an insane cyborg version of Batman is badass!).
I hope they justify Dr Fate not saving Victor who seems to have quite an important role as a tool for the success of the Dark Multiverse Batmen and Batwoman.
Kind of sad this one wasn't Bruce merging with Brother Eye. The entire idea of Murder Machine being the incarnate of Batman's suspicion of other heroes and Metas seems like it would have been much more interesting and an actual character flaw of his, than us kicking the puppy on Alfred to make his death a catalyst for a completely separate A.I. monster then fusing Bruce with it. The fear of loss is a flaw of his, but I think we could have done that one better.

Hands down this was the best Origin. It made you feel for Bruce of -44 but. This and Red Death are the Best Origin Tie Ins so far. The Drowned was wild but kind of all over the place.

I don't have always access to comics where I live and following series is kind of difficult so we can say that I live comics though your channel. I don't know how many videos of your channel I have seen till now; enough I think to the have seen the evolution of how you narrate your videos and from being calm, paused and almost detached and now how you infuse so much emotion making it amazing and oh so enjoyable. Because it shows how much you care and love the world of comics. Back to this Metal tie ins maybe it's because I can't read them but, dunno, I don't know how to feel about this. Can all those evil versions be called Batman? Sure at the base they were Batman but the recurrent pattern of this negative words is that he (or she in the case of the Drowned) become a twisted version of the justice leaguers that they killed and then went nuts and then went to kill the rest of the world. Red Death; twisted version of Barry? Check. Murder Machine? Twisted version of Cyborg. Check. Dawnbreaker? Green Lantern. Check. The Drowned? Aquaman. Check. I don't know how to feel about this. As amazing as the storytelling is it's not evil versions of Batman coming from the other side of Metal but weird ass versions of the Justice League that happen to be Batman but weren't powerful enough to go on and kill the rest of the world, even the universe, until they highjacked the powers of members of the Justice League and by some twisted event were able to become even more than what they should be. Case in point Dawnbreaker that threw a tantrum and was able to override the programming of a green lantern ring and by sheer force of will was able to, almost magically, produce constructs that were strong enough to kill all the Green Lantern Corp and the Guardians of the Universe. Not even a host of Ion and he was able to do all that. You said it: it's insane. And on the border of suspension of disbelief. Another thing; those twisted versions of Batman came from seven negative universe to the Core DC multiverse through the exposure of "our" Batman. If this is shapping to be the event that changes the DC multiverse as they are selling it at DC why only those seven? What with the rest of the negative universes? Are they also dying? Shouldn't there be 52 versions of the negative earths with 52 crazy versions of Superman or Wonder Woman or the Flash wanting the jump ship and move to upperverse and survive? And the events of Multiversity? Where are all those versions of superheroes that should be aware of this if they are keeping watch of the Multiverse to protect it? Shouldn't this count as one of those things that requires an intervention? As amazing as Scott Snyder is writing stories I stopped when I read Batman nº35-36. Entertaining as it was the plot holes in the story where so many that I don't know how people could stand it. I love comics Rob. I love the characters. But my love for this medium doesn't stop me from being critic of it and of the stories I got to read. I fell kinda lost here Rob... I want to enjoy stories but I can't just turn off my brain and accept everything I read and from what I see of Metal it's something like that. And for god's sake! A DIVINE metal called BATMANIUM!? Are you fucking kidding me!?

I don't know how to feel about this. As amazing as the storytelling is it's not evil versions of Batman coming from the other side of Metal but weird ass versions of the Justice League that happen to be Batman but weren't powerful enough to go on and kill the rest of the world, even the universe, until they highjacked the powers of members of the Justice League and by some twisted event were able to become even more than what they should be. Case in point Dawnbreaker that threw a tantrum and was able to override the programming of a green lantern ring and by sheer force of will was able to, almost magically, produce constructs that were strong enough to kill all the Green Lantern Corp and the Guardians of the Universe. Not even a host of Ion and he was able to do all that.
You said it: it's insane.
And on the border of suspension of disbelief.
Another thing; those twisted versions of Batman came from seven negative universe to the Core DC multiverse through the exposure of "our" Batman. If this is shapping to be the event that changes the DC multiverse as they are selling it at DC why only those seven? What with the rest of the negative universes? Are they also dying? Shouldn't there be 52 versions of the negative earths with 52 crazy versions of Superman or Wonder Woman or the Flash wanting the jump ship and move to upperverse and survive? And the events of Multiversity? Where are all those versions of superheroes that should be aware of this if they are keeping watch of the Multiverse to protect it? Shouldn't this count as one of those things that requires an intervention?
As amazing as Scott Snyder is writing stories I stopped when I read Batman nº35-36. Entertaining as it was the plot holes in the story where so many that I don't know how people could stand it.
I love comics Rob. I love the characters. But my love for this medium doesn't stop me from being critic of it and of the stories I got to read.
I fell kinda lost here Rob... I want to enjoy stories but I can't just turn off my brain and accept everything I read and from what I see of Metal it's something like that.
And for god's sake! A DIVINE metal called BATMANIUM!? Are you fucking kidding me!?
I don't get why Rich from Diversity & Comics doesn't like Dark Knights Metal it's pretty damn good.
Because, there is nothing Social Justice Warrior about these batmen. These characters represent the chaos that comes when we make stupid choices. Or as a society, make collectively poor decisions. The False Diversity troopers can't handle this much raw truth. Even if it is just imaginary. They like pleasant little fantasies that ticket punch their ideological world view.
