Idk if it’s just my hope, but when we got true access to the open world on the Tiny Bronco, I realized the wait for part 3 might not be as long as some people expect. Hearing that the plot is done and they’ve seemingly nailed down how the Highwind will work is a really, really good sign
Agreed. Once we opened up with the Bronco, I was like, wait a minute, 3/4’s of the world is not only finished but seamlessly connected… 2 years from release of FF7Rebirth. Mark my words.

Nailed down doesn't mean anything. Japanese devs always change stuff mid development. I was actually disappointed with how the Tiny Bronco was setup. It felt so restricted. I think the Highwind will allow you to fly anywhere but just as the Tiny Bronco, you'll be able to dock in fixed spots which will feel just as restricted.
@@ciprianstanciu7Have you not been keeping up? They are open about making sure the Highwind is indeed open world in design - meaning they heard us and they know that we want to be able to take it anywhere. Like that’s all they’ve been talking about. Kind of the point of this video even…
@ You are misinterpretting what "going anywhere" means. Sure it will go anywhere but won't dock anywhere. Why couldn't the Tiny Bronco dock on all the beaches ? It's the same design ethic.
2027 is the 40th anniversary of Final Fantasy, the 30th anniversary of FFVII, and the VIIth anniversary of Remake. Like hell they're missing out on that. Not to mention, Nomura literally stated in July 2022 when Rebirth was announced that some work had already been done on the third game, it coming out 5 years after that is hardly surprising. It's pretty clear that the two games are being developed together in one large process.
The reveal trailer for Rebirth caused me to buy a PS5 and then the two-pack of Remake and Rebirth later. That trailer alone and Max’s reaction to it sealed the deal.
I find myself liking Hamaguchi more and more with each update since pre-Rebirth. True FF7 fan. Still, I can't wrap my head around how they are going to manage the huge amount of shit they have to put in this game, both story-wise and worldbuilding-wise. They ended Rebirth basically at the end of OG CD1, so they have to put in both CD2 and CD3 (tbf, 3 is pretty much only the Crater). The whole FF7 world, each city/village/town (Midgar included), the sea, the under-sea (with caves), the sky, space (which arguably is just the rocket). But still.. 🤯 I mean, don't get me wrong I wouldn't mind a 300 hours Grand Finale, but all that stuff compressed in a single game is not an easy ask...
I know its crazy that they're just at the end of the first CD. But you almost explored the whole continent at that point. The 3rd CD is just the final Dungeon as already mentioned and the 2nd CD is Clouds mind getting messed up and restored, collecting the giant Materias and going to Midgar with some other stuff inbetween. The final remake may be longer than Rebirth but for the Plot, at least for OG FF7, there isnt much left. The first CD felt like an eternity to end in comparison to the other two
And that's not even discussing how much of a bigger deal Wutai is gonna be this time around. There's a whole damn war still happening that wasn't in the OG. The nice part is that a lot of disc 2 in the original was revisiting places they'd already been, but new areas of them (Cosmo Canyon, Junon reactor, Midgar, Corel, Nibelheim flashbacks, etc.). Obviously we haven't seen Rocket Town in the Remake series yet, so that still needs to be created. But in terms of the overworld, the only new places they need to create for Part 3 are basically Icicle Inn, Wutai, Rocket Town, Mideel, and any places you can only find by airship or chocobo (Ancient Forest, Knights of the Round cave, etc.). So they can focus a lot of their creative efforts on the sky and underwater sections.
It's also likely simpler, another part of CD3 was that it was the same world, but changed by the impending Meteorfall. Kind of like the world in ChronoTrigger after a change in the past.
I gotta feeling the Highwind will control something like this: - Spots where you can land will be marked by X symbols and you hold the X button until the circle is complete. - The Highwind will descend and then cut to black. - We then see Cloud and Co on the ground with the Highwind flight attendant standing by waiting to see if you’re ready to go. - Once you accept you’re back in the air and the process resumes all over again That’s my guess! This is clearly one of the biggest elements of the game! Whatever they come up with will also surely show everyone how mind-bogglingly huge this game will be!
_Rebirth's_ map is already seamlessly connected. There's really nothing in the game engine that would preclude you from being able to dock and disembark wherever you want except that some of the ground level terrain isn't traversable. My guess is that they will just let you disembark anywhere that's unobstructed, and then maybe have specific airship docks in the cities. The Highwind itself is also huge in _Rebirth_ when you see it docked in Junon, so it's probably going to effectively be a mobile base with its own features.
@@Tuningforks85 those trailers only happened because their stories got leaked before being released, which wasn't the first time since KH3 got leaked and then Nomura decided to release a trailer with the leaked content
I am one of the very few people who actually didn't know about Aerith's death. The original released a year before I was born, but until recently I was in a very different niche of life and video games. I am _so_ glad I never watched any of the trailers before I played Rebirth. I watched them after I finished the game, and literally every moment that had me on the edge of my seat while playing would have been spoiled lmao
@@lavishlyvice Glad you got to experience that scene fresh, dood. It's incredibly rare to avoid stumbling across that particular story detail, considering how often people mentiuon it when talking about FF7. With these remake games I feel like a full media blackout after the earliest trailers is the best way to go. Being a sort of dormant FF7 fan before FF7R's release, I hadn't seen any promo media at all. I basically bought the game blind, with only some vague memories of the OG game to go on. Playing FF7R that way was an unbelievably engaging experience that left me so hyped for the next two parts. With Rebirth, it was so fun to go in knowing the general story outline and the places I was probably going to visit, and nothing else. There were dozens of things in the last two trailers that I had no idea about, and those surprises made my first playthrough much more enjoyable than it might have been.
Thanks for the video Max. I always come to your channel first and foremost with FF7 Remake news first before everyone else's perspective first. I'm stoked for this! Just for this, im gonna go back and watch all cinematic clips of FF7 Remake and Rebirth. Good way to spend a slow weekend on.
When you look at the playable map of Rebirth, there was still A LOT of the areas unexplored and I'm not talking about the fogged areas like Wutai and rocket town and the northern crater. The Grasslands for instance had a HUGE area we didn[t get to explore and also the area south of Junon. Not to mention everything north of Corel that would be east of rocket town. I gather we maybe got about 1/3 of the word explorable. Don't forget we also have everything under the sea that will be explorable too. On the UE5 thing, an argument the stay on UE4 is the fact they have custom built SO MANY TOOLS that even though UE5 is pretty good at handling upgrade, the version of UE4 SE is using is incredibly custom built. So at least 6 months to maybe a year would be dedicated just to recreating and testing the new tools on UE5. They also have the benefit of working closely with Epic and UE5 was built off of a version of UE4 so Epic could help them integrate UE5 features into the UE4 engine... but that is a long shot. (In case anyone is wondering how I know this, I'm a game dev that works mainly with Unreal) Much like Remake and Rebirth, I know they will 100% be faithful to the source material. Just look at Remake and Rebirth with everything. THey left in the honeybee in scenes in remake and made it one of the best parts of remake, in rebirth they made the gold saucer filled with mini games based off the OG, they left the buggy in, they left Hojo so=urounded by beach babes, they didn't leave a single boss fight out. So I have 100% faith nothing will be "cut" like everyone keeps thinking every game, only expanded on like they have in all previous games. I really want optinal dungeons that don't require you to visit or even tell you about. MUCH like Zelda and Elden Ring. Something that you are just running around and suddenly you are exploring a random dungeon for an hour with a boss at the end with some cool materia or rare crafting materials. That is what I really want in part 3. Like the Materia Caves in the OG. Not a single NPC hints at them. You just see them in the distance and once you have the highwind or right chocobo you go explore it and you get powerful materia. That is the stuff I want in part 3. I also can't wait for the raid on Midgar to see how much has changed, revisiting old npcs, maybe we will get to explore the top of the plates. I also really hope we get to revisit all the rebirth locations. At least a couple like Kalm, and Gongaga, and Nibelheim. I think part 3 will be about "Identity" and/or "Legacy". Anyway my 2 cents.
I think they can improve the characters agility. I mean, FF vii rebirth gave us a perfect open world but what if they add a jump button. Chocobos are still a little bit boring in their movement. I just wish they will do something similar to Nier Automata exploration gameplay, while keeping the same battle system. Btw, they can get inspiration from Lightning Returns FF XIII gameplay too...
Agree, if I want to nitpick I’d say the movement is kind of clunky when walking with Cloud and it can be difficult to figure out where you can go and where you cant etc. I hope they tweak it.
I just hope they go back to the combat balance of Remake. Rebirth relied too much on instant death and party abduction mechanics to introduce challenge to fights, particularly the Colosseum and the simulator. It felt less like I was being challenged and my failures were my fault and more like certain fights were designed to be cheap. That Darkstar and Kid G simulator fight in particular is just BS as well as the beat the mindflayer before his adds. If you are going to do fights like that you need to dramatically improve the computer’s AI of party members.
But let us embrace whatever it brings. In a few years from now the promise will be truly complete. And we’ll all have been blessed to see it happen even though it may have taken a while it’ll be worth it. Probably gonna get a plexiglass case and put the games inside along with Crisis Core Reunion once it’s all complete.
After beating Rebirth I didn’t know what to do with myself. I watched a lot of fan theory videos (surprisingly Maximillian was in most of them) for two days straight. I had to really force myself to play Balatro after that but after beating that game my life returned to normal. He mentioned some players felt a depression. I surprisingly didn’t feel sad or depressed just hard to move on. Even now I want to 100% the game again which is crazy because I’m 15 hours into Metaphor Re-Fantazio and I’m having more fun playing that then Rebirth and have given it my Game of the Year over Rebirth but their is just something I can’t describe about Rebirth that makes me long for it. Sorry for the rant this video just brought that feeling to me.
It’s my first FF game and I agree. Something about a world so storied … I just want like six of these games. Midgard , final fantasy music, battles, design , materia all this stuff is just so timeless.
I'd argue that sad, hard to move on, depressed feeling was way worse in remake. By the end of remake I knew that it was not the remake i was expecting. I was confused disjointed and didnt know what to think, I just knew this isnt the final fantasy 7 I know. By the time rebirth came out, the shock had worn off, I was fully on board with the project and was prepared for what may come in rebirth. I have mixed feelings with how the ending of rebirth was handled but I was prepared for it.
to handle the landing and taking off, they might use a rope ladder from the highwind to the ground , bypassing the problem of the highwind not being able to land due to not fitting in the terrain.
What do I want the theme of part 3 to be? "Hope." The world is awful right now. I just want some of my favorite fictional characters to have some hope in the future, and if if they can do that, maybe we can too.
If it pans out to be legit then fighting Ultimate Weapon on the Highwind with the world in the background promises to be one of the sickest things ive ever experienced in a game.
If Diamond Weapon will be in the world map, to correct scale against Sister Ray, how long will it take for him to walk across the ocean until he gets blasted? Someone do the math
KInda funny how it seems very difficult to figure out airship landing anywhere. If its open even like plains then it just lands. If its rocky or forest like then the airship can be hovering and the crew can slide down ropes to the ground. Or have a small craft that can jettison out from the back or what not and land. It can be very similar to landing on water surface in no man sky where its just hovering just off the ground.
The biggest thing I hope is that we can change who we control as the lead party member and create our own team with or without Cloud for non-main story content.
Chad the lad is going to be part of the Highwind crew - and he'll still be tracking our side quest progress in each region and offering VR fights & giving out new Materia based on our side quest progress just like in Remake & Rebirth. It's too clean a fit for them not to do it - even if they didn't use Chadley there'd be someone else filling the same role - it's what the Highwind naturally leans into in terms of world / quest design - go to any region and complete side objectives for rewards - they might not get shown as icons on the map, but they'll still be in in there. Some of those regional activities (like the Summon Caves - ultimately leading to Knights of the Round?) might even be shifted into being main quest activities that we can tackle in any order. But Chadley is the interface for the VR fights, side activities & special Materia rewards since the first game of the Remake Trilogy, they aren't dropping that now when the third game is where that kind of gameplay most naturally fits.
Agree with Chadley stuff, I think we will do maybe 1 tower as a nod, but we have all the towers done and I suspect the team absolutely will take that in. God I cannot wait.
The most interesting part of the third game is that third disc outside of a few key plot points is basically an open canvas in terms of what you can do. There really isn’t any true scared cows after Nibelheim that aren’t tied to the fallout of Aerith’s death and Meteor. I’m hoping they really expand the archeological site and Rocket Town. Even though they kind of jumped over them to get to the temple of the ancients, which should be on an island in the south, not the north. But I’m really hopeful for what they will do with Wutai. I remember the first game had this great sense of place artistic flair, but out of Yuffie there wasn’t really anything to do there and felt empty.
One BIG thing they need to implement in the exploration part is this: Exploration is too easy and straight forward in the latest FF games. "Mission is this, go here, do this". We always know where to go and what to do. I miss finding hidden areas that demanded a fair amount of searching or luck to find, caves and dungeons off the beaten path with good loot, strong enemies and hidden bosses. FF10 and especially FF12 did a great job with this. Another big "issue" for me in FF7 Rebirth was also the repetetive nature of how to progress through each new area, which lead to "open world fatigue". I really hope they make the next installment with these things in mind.
Every time I think it's impossible to do it right SE surprises me and shows that everything is possible if you have geniuses making your favourite game. I really can't imagine how they can do Higwind and submarine up to current game standards but I know for sure it's gonna be awesome and they will kill it again!
I wonder how they are going to tackle the highwind hovering on top of midgar. Are we able to see every details of every midgar plates just like in the trailer?
I really do hope the flying isn't just traversal, and we have combat of sorts and even hopefully some side quests that deal with having to explore the skies. Whether that be ship combat or at least situations where flying creatures attack the ship and Cloud and co. Need to run onto the deck and fight them off.
What i loved most about the bonds system was how effortless it happened. Just enjoying the game boosted your bonds, it wasnt invasive or a chore. Even if they mess up part 3, Rebirth will be up there as one of the best games i have ever played.
So whay your saying is that ff7 part 3 will pull a breath of the wild to a tears of the kingdom as in take the big open world you have and open it up more with the sky and possibly underwater. Sounds amazing and I can't wait
I’m wondering if highwind gameplay will be a 1:1 low LOD version of the map that will essentially look the same from far away, then have some clever loading trick when you land to load the actual area you are landing in on the map
It's going to be so great to be able to FINALLY play through all three parts of the FF7 trilogy back to back to back. It'd be really neat if in the future they released a collected edition that has all three parts, where you can download all three as one game and play them seamlessly somehow. Kind of like having a single giant FF7 Remake game. One question I have for you, Max, is this: if Remake is kind of the blueprint of what Rebirth would be, can you see yourself going back and playing Remake instead of Rebirth or part 3, 15 years from now? I've been having a hankering to play through some FF7 again and I'm finding myself thinking about playing Remake because it felt more cozy (?) in a way. Everything felt a lot more contained and localized in a small area; after playing through Rebirth it really impressed me they were able to have so much story in such a small area, I think it helped me get even more attached to the main crew you spend your time with in that game. I've been playing since OG so I was already super familiar with the cast but these remakes really put meat on the bones of their characters in that sense. Anyway, Rebirth is my game of the year and possibly maybe my favorite game of all time. Took a lot of thinking to come to that conclusion as I have 37 years of gaming experience to compare it to, but I honestly can't remember the last time I had so much fun playing a game. It was about as perfect as I could imagine a game to be.
They have my full trust after the masterpiece that was rebirth but i do want them to fix some stuff in the open world navigation and make mini games less grindy perhaps as well as a good wrap up to the story ( and Zack as a full party member tbh ) if those things are addressed it might end up being my favourite game ever made
I am just out here thinking how we have seen rips in the sky that implies there are other worlds and how the airship will also be in the sky... I know it is big and ambitious but part of me is thinking multiverse travel.
My hopes for part 3: Ultimately if Rebirth was like a 30-70 story/side content split, Part 3 should be a 60-40 story/side content split, but still be as large of a game in scope/ambition and probably slightly larger run time as well (like 65 ish hour main story not counting a hair of side content) Also just like really dedicate a good amount of time to Part 3 having not just a NG+ Hard, which is about battle content almost entirely, but legit end game content (exploration, battle, sidequests, character development) since this is the End game of a 3 game saga. So yes, Super Bosses and other traditional FF franchise "End Game" content. I generally like the weapon/ability system of remake/rebirth, but I feel like it'd be such a missed opportunity to not give the characters Ultimate Weapons TM and Master Materia (or an equivalent) and Final Limit Breaks in a way that incorporates either some kind of hidden side quest, optional character development, grind or progression system, just SOMETHING. In the OG, you essentially get all of their final LBs from what are effectively side quests, but not like Jobs the way they are in FF7R/Rebirth. Weps are found in character relevant locations as well. Idk if we keep Folios at all in part 3, or really what extent character relations affect gameplay going forward, but I think its perfectly reasonable to have this kind of end game content be mostly optional and different from the other systems in the game. With the OG ending in a huge "everyone come back if you still want to be part of this fight" kind of obvious final exploration/character opportunity, it would be pretty easy to fit this in here, and Id much rather we lean into that end game feeling than just... you get 6 weapons from open world/side quests, the last one you just find in the dungeon yet again. Then again, they might just not do ultimate weapons at all since they kind of have a "all weapons are equal" mentality which IMO doesnt really work as well in Rebirth as Remake anyway. Hell, just have the weapons have no ability but give them the LB and be part of a longer more important sidequest or something, but anything is better than treating them as unimportant, esp. if they borrow models, names, or any influence from Ultima Weapon, Premium Heart, etc. then I'd be pissed if they are treated like normal weapons.
People are forgetting the weapon release. There will be new areas, and new things to explore in existing areas thanks to weapon release early in part 3.
We already know it’s not a traditional multiverse according to Nojima. And we also know that they’ve promised to deliver a satisfying ending. I have no reason not to believe them.
It's crazy to me how people still haven't realized that it's literally just what's happening in Lifestream Black & White. It literally 1:1 spoils the current final fight in Rebirth and will be the theme going forward.
I'm not even into the Remake games and I'm likely getting Pt3 day one because I have to see how they re-imagined the Weapons as enemies/boss battles. I was super impressed with how SE handled them in XIV, even lore-wise, but that's kinda besides the point because XIV's lore foundations are in another galaxy. But combat-wise, I just have to see it. Will they make them smaller? Will they be multiple-tier/height fights? Will they be so big we'll get on top of them like Sin in FFX? I do wonder. The weapon segment of VII is the peak of that game, and I hope the devs go absolutely nuts with it.
I'm just stoaked how this game will go forward. It's pretty obvious we will go to the northern crator and do some snowboarding as it was hinted in rebirth. The Highwind mechanic is gonna be NUTS! I hope they widen the world beyond the invisible walls that were in Rebirth. I also hope as far as highwind we have some customization in the interior. Like Johnny's seaside inn, let us have some customized rooms or even customized bridge.
I want to see how they handle the Gold Chocobo. I hope it's some grand long quest that maybe fuses a yellow, green, blue, and black chocobo together. Probably something to do with the goblin guy in Rebirth. He said he was off to protect a new treasure. I Imagine the treasure is the Zeio Nut.
FF7R I had an IDEA! Firstly, I am in the "it should be one game crowd" so that I can take my level 99 Tifa from Midgar and steamroll part 2 and part 3. (I also want to have to play the story 7 times in order to find everything) INSTEAD! MY IDEA: One of the perks for beating part 3 is you unlock data carryover, so you can take your incomplete level 99 Cloud back to the train station and recollect all the summons you lost along the way so you can finally get the Master Materias! (Of course I still want to choose my main and have to find hidden loot). This was the only channel still talking FF7...
If they put Tifa in Tekken I'm buying it. They need to just give her her own game. OG Tifa with remake combat and an endless dungeon like Ergheiz. Story not included.
Fans must've forgotten but Nomura said in 2022 when they were teasing about Rebirth and releasing those cryptic messages before the teaser trailer, he said a small group has already started working on part 3 in 2022 while the rest are still working on Rebirth so today Part 3 is definitely at least 2 years into the development. 😊
Xenoblade Chronicles X already revolutionized exploration with Skells. (More people will see this once they play the Switch DE version). Not really sure how FF7 can one up it outside of the submarine section. Even then, there was limitations on what kind of stuff you could explore underwater.
2:30 I mean ... verticality in the means of airship done right? look at Tears of the kingdom. I think that weird little sky islands(a lot more spread out because you won't have the battery limitations in FF7R3) and the fact that you can traverse the world so incredibly fast to explore WHERE you want to explore whilst still having the same level of stuff on each "map".
Look forward to the 3rd part, they can do so much with it. Was not a fan of the open world activities in Rebirth so a change on that is needed from my pov
Hey, Max. Question for you. You were on the Juno parade mission. It’s been a while since I played it but my jaw dropped upon seeing the visuals. Did you capture this on the regular ps5? What was your frame rate? Because your camera turning looks smooth as hell. Mine acts a little jerky. At least in the open world. Maybe it’s my eyes.
We don't really have games that tackle mountains properly... I wonder if they'll do that and have different places at different elevations because of the Highwind.
yeah I would think that as we get the title of part 3 we get the PC version and a year after that we get some gameplay trailer and around the 3 year mark from FF7Rebirth, so in march 2027 we'll know if the game comes out that summer or winter.
Whatever happens I really don't want them to skip over the Highwind Cloud and Tifa scene, and maybe even expand it a little bit. Heck they already gave us a kiss which is more than they've shown in the OG...
I just hope they can develop the game where there’s not a copious amount of pop-ins….. That’s pretty much the only negative that I have with Rebirth! Well that and I wish some of the environments were more alive and interactive like Forbidden West.
All this talk about the highwind, and air travel is good, but they better not forgo the ocean exploration portion of the game. That's crucial to get to and access certain areas of the game and a weapon fight can be had there as well as that underwater Shinra headquarters
FF7 with Max, I'll be there no matter what!

I gotta feeling the Highwind will control something like this:
- Spots where you can land will be marked by X symbols and you hold the X button until the circle is complete.
- The Highwind will descend and then cut to black.
- We then see Cloud and Co on the ground with the Highwind flight attendant standing by waiting to see if you’re ready to go.
- Once you accept you’re back in the air and the process resumes all over again
That’s my guess! This is clearly one of the biggest elements of the game! Whatever they come up with will also surely show everyone how mind-bogglingly huge this game will be!
It's gonna be a mobile base HQ not JUST a airship.
A genuine issue is the trailers (when they do come out) will likely be just like the previous ones that spoil WAY too much.
Never watch the last one before release. Thats the worst one. First couple are more teasers
"Likely"? More like guaranteed amirite?
(In case anyone is wondering how I know this, I'm a game dev that works mainly with Unreal)
Much like Remake and Rebirth, I know they will 100% be faithful to the source material.
I'd love a jump button. I'm sure many people even wanted it back in Remake.
Agree, if I want to nitpick I’d say the movement is kind of clunky when walking with Cloud and it can be difficult to figure out where you can go and where you cant etc. I hope they tweak it.
@@FutureDeep Maybe Cid will teach the party how to Jump.
The reunion may bring joy…. It may bring fear….
Same🥲
I'd argue that sad, hard to move on, depressed feeling was way worse in remake.
I have mixed feelings with how the ending of rebirth was handled but I was prepared for it.
to handle the landing and taking off, they might use a rope ladder from the highwind to the ground , bypassing the problem of the highwind not being able to land due to not fitting in the terrain.
im sad i will miss this FF7 conversations once all the games are released i always tune in whenever Max talks anything FF7
I really hope the exploration is more organic
If Diamond Weapon will be in the world map, to correct scale against Sister Ray, how long will it take for him to walk across the ocean until he gets blasted? Someone do the math
They'll either make him emerge closer to Midgar or have him move faster.
@@MrCODEmaster999 Or just give us hours of sidequests to do while he goes from one continent to the other
I love FF7 videos with Max
KInda funny how it seems very difficult to figure out airship landing anywhere. If its open even like plains then it just lands. If its rocky or forest like then the airship can be hovering and the crew can slide down ropes to the ground. Or have a small craft that can jettison out from the back or what not and land. It can be very similar to landing on water surface in no man sky where its just hovering just off the ground.
The biggest thing I hope is that we can change who we control as the lead party member and create our own team with or without Cloud for non-main story content.
Putting my airpods in, opening my YT app, and seeing and FF7 Max Dood video at the top of my feed is just.. the bees knees. “LET’S GOOO”
Already platinum, beat it twice, been months now and already want to experience it all over again I think I will this Christmas for nostalgia
Still waiting for that Rebirth PC release 💀
God I hope they put a lot of effort into that. Add some new features and fix some silly bugs like the grass pop-in.
REMEMBER! The highwind itself is its own town!
Can't wait for the grand finale, but Rebirth is not even 1 year old. It's still ways away.
Most especially, they haven't done the Airship thing a lot on modern FF games, the flying overworld experience in FF games is just fun
I hope we can explore the sunken Republic of Junon that is rumored in rebirth to have hidden treasures
Love Max and his commitment to the fighting game scene. But, I only tune in for his FF7 content.
Part 3 of ps5 pro is gonna be juicy
i got a feeling Part 3 is going to be even bigger then 2, i could easily see them revealing title etc summer / E3 sony direct
The game is probably 5 years away
Finally some new FF content, bismilah max
Good Question.
Part 3 theme: Discovery
Part 3 title: Final Fantasy 7 Resistance
As soon as i watched the minature of the video i clicked on it. I LOVE FF7 and i love hearing Max talk about it.
I would definitely be down to see the development team add the same affinity system for part 3 and have cloud create bonds with the party.
My hopes for part 3:
Ultimately if Rebirth was like a 30-70 story/side content split, Part 3 should be a 60-40 story/side content split, but still be as large of a game in scope/ambition and probably slightly larger run time as well (like 65 ish hour main story not counting a hair of side content)
Also just like really dedicate a good amount of time to Part 3 having not just a NG+ Hard, which is about battle content almost entirely, but legit end game content (exploration, battle, sidequests, character development) since this is the End game of a 3 game saga.
There will be new areas, and new things to explore in existing areas thanks to weapon release early in part 3.
what I'm curious of is how they'll handle the return to Midgar. Will they just have separate map that loads when you approach it?
with all the multiverse things. i just hope, really really hope they give satisfying ending.
Multiverse and satisfaction don't mix
We already know it’s not a traditional multiverse according to Nojima. And we also know that they’ve promised to deliver a satisfying ending. I have no reason not to believe them.
Splintered, eroding branches are not a multiverse. Still only one ‘tree.’
Actually Max they have talked about exploring the ocean. Nomura touched on it at least once.
7:30 Exactly how I feel. I really enjoyed how solid of a game Part 1 was.
I really hope part 3 is going to be released on multiple platforms because i don't feel like buying a ps5 pro but I don't expect it to happen.
The ship will probably provide the “tower” element.
I'm just hoping Rebirth will come to Steam and be playable on Steam Deck
I can't wait for part 3! Just got me a PS5 pro. Looking forward to replaying Rebirth on it among other games getting the 'pro' treatment.
FF7 part 3 is gonna be here before Rebirth comes to PC......
I can't wait for Part 3 to come out and then do a full OG, Crisis Core, Remake Trilogy replay 🥰🥰
FF7R
I had an IDEA!
Firstly, I am in the "it should be one game crowd" so that I can take my level 99 Tifa from Midgar and steamroll part 2 and part 3. (I also want to have to play the story 7 times in order to find everything)
INSTEAD!
FF7 Rebirth was a gift filled with gifts.
I haven't found any videos of Max talking about the new chapter in Ever Crisis...
RELEASE TANKCERATOPS!! FREE TANKCERATOPS!!!!
Xenoblade Chronicles X already revolutionized exploration with Skells. (More people will see this once they play the Switch DE version). Not really sure how FF7 can one up it outside of the submarine section. Even then, there was limitations on what kind of stuff you could explore underwater.
So 2027 confirmed! Thank you Max, very cool!
And imagine the air fight between Ultima Weapon and Highwind, hype 😁.
Theres still "cloudy" areas on the map that the highwind can reach
Look forward to the 3rd part, they can do so much with it. Was not a fan of the open world activities in Rebirth so a change on that is needed from my pov
Hey, Max. Question for you. You were on the Juno parade mission. It’s been a while since I played it but my jaw dropped upon seeing the visuals. Did you capture this on the regular ps5? What was your frame rate? Because your camera turning looks smooth as hell. Mine acts a little jerky. At least in the open world. Maybe it’s my eyes.
There’s one enemy I’m wondering if they will include and that’s that pride and joy enemy that was a prototype in remake
2027 makes sense because FF7...2027. It aligns perfectly
Please give us this in 2027, please...
We don't really have games that tackle mountains properly... I wonder if they'll do that and have different places at different elevations because of the Highwind.
They said in September that by September next year they would already resealed about the next part.
yeah I would think that as we get the title of part 3 we get the PC version and a year after that we get some gameplay trailer and around the 3 year mark from FF7Rebirth, so in march 2027 we'll know if the game comes out that summer or winter.
Probably something similar so rebirth but even more freedom. Looking forward to it. 🌌
Another thing I wish happened is that weapons should be tied to exploration. Be it in caves, dungeons, etc.
I see Max+FF Anything I click and I like.
As long as it's manned by the Midgar 7th I'm all good.
Hades typoon!
I wonder how the game will run while flying fast but with high graphics...but im guessing u cant land anywhere but are set landing areas
Just give me an open world and the ability to use chocobos of any color in the entire world..
Whatever happens I really don't want them to skip over the Highwind Cloud and Tifa scene, and maybe even expand it a little bit. Heck they already gave us a kiss which is more than they've shown in the OG...
wonder when ff7 rebirth will be on steam
I'm guessing late next year
I just hope they can develop the game where there’s not a copious amount of pop-ins…..
That’s pretty much the only negative that I have with Rebirth! Well that and I wish some of the environments were more alive and interactive like Forbidden West.
All this talk about the highwind, and air travel is good, but they better not forgo the ocean exploration portion of the game. That's crucial to get to and access certain areas of the game and a weapon fight can be had there as well as that underwater Shinra headquarters
facts: max is actually developing this himsellf
I want to be able to go into space in this third title
