As a great fan of Raymond Floyd, I really appreciate to see how he managed his last round in Augusta. I was very sad Wiener he lost in playoff against Nick Falco : that yearling too he deserved to win the championship. It’s also interesting to see the special affection of Ben Crenshaw for this course.
16:51 Lee Trevino on 18 blows his putt 5 feet past the hole (announcer, says 3 feet, no, it’s at least 5). He walks down, doesn’t look at it, doesn’t mark it, doesn’t take a practice stroke…. He just steps up and knocks it in the center of the cup. You would never see a player today do that.
I mean he lost by 24 shots lol. Back then the pay difference that low on the leaderboard was very small. I looked it up and that missed putt literally cost him 50 bucks.
I would like to see a documentary or movie on the black Augusta caddies. I imagine they had some stories to tell about the players, the tournament, the Augusta brass and their fellow caddies.
Raymond Floyd couldn't better Jack's low total of 271. Ironically, this happened to be the first Masters after the guy who would break that record was born.
Hole-by-hole announcers (1976 Masters) CBS: Jim Thacker 12 Jack Whitaker 13 Ken Venturi 14 Ben Wright 15 Henry Longhurst 16 (The last Masters for Henry Longhurst calling the 16th Hole) Frank Glieber 17 Pat Summerall 18
I know it cant be changed, but did it ever occur to anybody how great and exciting these videos would be of you hadn't used a picture of the winner for the thumbnail ?
The Fact, Raymond Floyd Was Leading By 8 Shots, When This Video Starts. Anyone, With Any Knowledge Of Golf⛳🏌️♀️ Knows That Raymond Floyd Was Going To Win. ⛳🏌️♀️🏆👕🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️ It Was Only A Question ❓ Of By How Many Strokes, Raymond Floyd Was Winning By. If Raymond Floyd Was Beating Jack Nicklaus' Record. What Jack Nicklaus, The Defending Champion 🏆👕❓ Score Was Going To Be. And, Who Was Going To Finish In 2nd Place.
"two of the finest shots in the tournament" was a shot into a bunker and then a bunker shot that ended up 5 ft from the pin???? those were the best shots?? seriously??
Clifford Roberts last year.. It certainly was as the crazy old guy decided to shoot himself dead on augusta national the following year.. Anybody know why?
Back then the Masters did not let you bring your regular caddie - you had to use one from the club’s local caddie pool. Very few players had a close relationship with any of them. Crenshaw was an exception. He kept using his local caddie at the Masters long after the rules were changed to let you bring your own.
Never thought I’d be able to see Raymond’s performance in 76’. Thank you to Augusta National for providing all these classic tournaments.
To win the Masters is a dream come true. To have Jack Nicklaus put your green coat on is extra special.
Raymond is one of the greatest competitors golf has ever seen...
… but perhaps not, by many accounts, the nicest guy golf has ever seen.
Fantastic to now be able to see all these classic tournaments.

Raymond could really chip the ball so well, like he hit it with a feather. Marvelous golfer indeed!!
If Nicklaus had Floyd's short game he never would have lost a tournament.

Probably a putt today is worth a couple of hundreds thousands…

Lee always played fast. He was the anti-Nicklaus

Me, too.
I loved the testimonial speech about the course and patrons at the end.
i wish they would have the videos of all four rounds of the masters from the 70,s and 80,s
Richard L Siderworf played in 8 Masters and made the cut here - one of the most famous amateur ⛳🤩🕳️🎉☑️ golfers in the history of the game 😁🎯 !
When Raymond got it going he was very tough to beat.
When raymond got that look in his eyes..look out!Stenson has that look too!just completely zoned out!!
Johnny Miller to care of that fact at the Jackie Gleason tournament in Florida
Great stuff .. thanks !
Nice To See Ramond 'Pink' Floyd, Finally Win A Masters Golf Tournament ⛳ 🏌♀️🏆😳🧐🙄😅😂🤣😎🤓☺⛳🏌♀️🏆
Mentioned about all these being brilliant, but Curtis strange....my goodness how young did he look!
The wind is gusting, but the shadows are standing still. Gotta admire those shadows.
"Gusting"...literally means "periodically blowing"
Im so glad the camera quality has gotten better since then
Raymond popularised the 5 wood (in the UK anyway) with his brilliant performance here.

These are almost 50 years old. I think spoilers are out of the bag

@@johnhenryclark911 what are you babbling about? Im talking about the entire series of videos.
Well, You Do Not Want People To Critique You, Why Are You Making Comments?
@@johnhenryclark911probably even when Norman lost to Faldo, everyone supposed the same… Groverwindham has a point.
Crenshaw’s outfit is egregious
You don't see the word egregious often in the golf comments section. Kudos on the sesquepedalian😉
I liked it. It was rather unique, and fun.
Rumour has it....Crenshaw bought his outfit in a power blackout...
Raymond Floyd "Honey, you can go fire up the jet. This one's in the bag."
When are we getting 2019?
Won’t be watching
The course in 1976 looks nothing like 2023.
"two of the finest shots in the tournament" was a shot into a bunker and then a bunker shot that ended up 5 ft from the pin???? those were the best shots?? seriously??
Was that Ben Crenshaw,...or, Ronald McDonald?
looks like joe bugner
Isnt this the one that he used a 5 wood and they teased him about using a womans club?
Talk about lapping the field
Clifford Roberts last year.. It certainly was as the crazy old guy decided to shoot himself dead on augusta national the following year.. Anybody know why?
He was in bad health and decided to end it all at a pretty site he likes next to the lake on the Par 3 course.
Cancer
Greens were getting too fast.
1:55:00, please - don’t DARE call them fans!! Its patrons! 😅
Poor quality sound and broadcasting.
Floyd destroyed this Masters
I'd like to know who was the pendejo bothering Billy Casper.
Sewell loan car
The players don't treat their caddies very well
Nor should they.
Bunch of opportunists.

What factual basis do you have to make such a statement 😮😢 ?! - Clifford Roberts wouldn'tve stood for it !
We have lost these fantastic announcers. Great loss.
Agree.
