Of all the Masters I have watched, this one was one of the best I've seen. To see the emotion that Crenshaw displayed on the 18th green is a vision that has remained with me for years and years. He was destined to win this tournament and I do believe that Harvey Penick was indeed the 15th club in Crenshaws bag.
Other than my mom taking me to a North Carolina driving range in 1981 at age 17, I had no clue about golf in 1995. I happened to turn on the Masters on Sunday and thought, ‘wow, this is a beautiful setting and holy cow-this guy Crenshaw really can putt!’. Great upload, and thank you. A lot of people were said to be great putters of the golf ball, but Ben Crenshaw was TRULY a great putter. He also was Minus four under on the par 3s, which had to make up 3 or 4 shots on almost the entire field.
Agree 100%! A funny story you'll enjoy: I was at a PGA event in 1990 a couple of weeks after Crenshaw beat Nick Price at the Colonial. I had the chance to chat with Price at the driving range and asked him about Crenshaw's putting. I'll never forget what he said, which was that there are many players on the PGA tour who make lots of putts, but nobody like Crenshaw. He said that Ben is different in that he rolls the ball into the center of the cup at the perfect speed. He said he hit the ball so much better than Crenshaw that week it was ridiculous, but Ben kept rolling in putt after putt and finally put him away.
@@chocolatetownforever7537 My pleasure! The putt Ben made at 17 to put the tournament away was a perfect example: lightning fast with a big break and he just poured it in.

Originally the bunkering was ornate and decorative, such as the MacKenzie Bunker. This was changed mostly aside from this bunker, although some other decorative relics remain such as the bunkers behind the 12th and 13th greens, although these now most have a normal shape. The MacKenzie bunker originally guarded the 10th green until the green was moved back behind the hollow, meaning that despite being basically taken out of play by that change, this bunker was the one wacky shaped one that survived. Many of the greens were also wacky shaped originally, you can see this in the remaining relatively strangely shaped greens like the 2nd, 3rd, 8th or 15th
