Night flying is nice, no sun to blind you. The seat doesn't look it has much padding. Getting hit or hitting something really gets the adrenaline flowing. It's always nice to fly with you Kaity, happy Monday.
Haha I’m trying to spread the word on the 1 mile pattern. It seems a lot of the big pilot mils don’t emphasize that and it’s my number one pet peeve lol
Thanks for the video Kaity! I’ve actually never flown a basic traffic pattern in the PC-12 so it was helpful to see your patten procedures. Did you do a full stop and taxi back each time or did you touch and go?
Love this night flight video! QQ: For full stop for night landing, do you have to exit the runway and taxi back around? Or can you come to a full stop on the runway?
Poor little bat! Made it through the prop only to smack into the windshield. I hit something one night a long time ago over central Jersey. Turns out geese do poop in flight; who knew? I don't think that was reportable, though.
No, thankfully just the poop. That was all that was on top of the windscreen. Friend hit a goose for real getting night current at KAVP 15 or 20 years ago. If it weren’t so serious, it would have been cartoonishly funny. The Mooney tail captured the goose perfectly, with 1 leg to the left, and one to the right. Wish I still had pics. Thanks for all the content. I’ve suggested your channel to a number of college-age youngsters considering a pro-pilot career.
“If you can’t fly a 1 mile pattern in a 172 you need more training”
Truer words have never been spoken
Hahah thank you that’s my biggest pet peeve
First time viewer as well. Love the Darth Vader ATIS!
Haha thank you!
That PT6 engine start always has the coolest sound
I agree, it’s the best!
Amazing night cross-county 🎉🎉🎊🎊🇰🇪🇺🇲🛫🛬
Thanks!
Great video, Kaity! First time viewer. Love seeing all the nerdy details!
Thanks so much for watching!
Excellent video. Appreciated how you explained everything. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you liked it!
Kaity, with all that tech in the plane, it looks like the space shuttle..😊
It’s definitely a lot of automation

The seat definitely does not have much padding haha. Something only a long haul pilot would notice! Hope you have a great week
@@pilotkaity It's no wonder a 4hr flight seems like a long time to you ;)
Thanks! Always enjoy!
I’m glad you do!
I need to get my night currency back especially with as early as it gets dark now! Pilatus looks like such a fun plane to fly!
Night currency is super important and the PC-12 is awesome!
That was fun! And amen on the 1 mile pattern
Haha I’m trying to spread the word on the 1 mile pattern. It seems a lot of the big pilot mils don’t emphasize that and it’s my number one pet peeve lol
Gurl, I never get tired of listening to a turbine engine starting erp.
It’s so nice right
Very nice video... 😎
Thanks! Glad you liked it!

My bad..just read the description.
I did full stop landings but did not taxi back. Boise has a long enough runway that I was able to do that
Very nice. What do you do? Charter? I’m always curious what section of aviation’s pilots fly in.
I fly part 91
Great video!
When you did your walk around, noticed no lights were on, guessing you did check lights earlier
Yes I check them every flight
I really loved this, Katie! ❤
Thank you!
Good morning Kaity.
Good morning! ☀️
Funny how the category and class recency of experience work both ways eh!
Yep that’s the truth! Kinda funny to need it for single engine
Love this night flight video! QQ: For full stop for night landing, do you have to exit the runway and taxi back around? Or can you come to a full stop on the runway?
No you can do stop and gos. That’s what I did on this flight
How did you know it was a bat? Nice video
Because I cleaned it off the window

Omg a whole goose wow
