Dumpster Diving at Student Apartments - Decor, Clothing, Sealed Food, and More!

- Hi y’all and welcome back to another dumpster diving adventure! We ventured on to the college campus to see what the students were throwing out - we found some incredible things in the trash like home decor, clothing & shoes, dorm room supplies, sealed food, and literal money!
Since the filming of this video the college has put out the big haul away dumpsters, so stay tuned for some unreal upcoming dives!

Another awesome adventure dumpster diving at the student apartments!! You should take those headphones, I had small speakers that got tangled up in my bedding and I put them in the washer and dryer and they still worked!!!!😂😂😂
You left the oval blue container on the first stop. Those come from Dollar Tree, but they're awesome. I use those and the bigger sized ones everywhere!
Kelley, I have a suggestion, at some point in your video if you’d ask us to subscribe it might benefit us both, I used to watch a lady shop at Aldi (I am old and alone and watching people shop is what my life has become!😂😂😂) but she would always mention subscribing near the end of her video, and the reason I mentioned this is because I noticed yesterday that a mower/lawn care guy has 2 + m subscribers, and you guys are so cute you should also have way more! I often watch videos that I don’t subscribe to simply because I don’t always think to do it and the owner hasn’t reminded me to. And yesterday I saw that one channel I watch has just gotten their plaque for 10m….family with 5 kiddos and dad is a heart surgeon, mom is a sahm. I think they only do shorts. 😊
just so you know the one mac and cheese meal he picked up they do not come frozen. they are out on shelfs by all the mac and cheese box's
Those were quarters! It blows my mind people throw money away! (not even dimes or cents). Obviously items too, but MoNeY !
I homeschool and my daughter is 6th grade and we are studying environmental waste so it happened that a neighbor moved out and we were once again stunned at the awesome usable even tagged and brand new things just tossed 😮( detergent, can foods, trash bags, Tupperware full of knives, on and on ) so we researched our local landfill for her assignment and it's truly never ending and so upsetting at what people just toss even when perfectly good 🤔🤨 well, you guys do a great job at helping keeping some from the landfills and also helping your community 👍👍🌟🌟 we try to do the same
U of M is recycling student move out trash!!!The students are giving away more because they know it is going to charities!!!!,Finally,recycling is catching on ❤TY for what you do!!!!
The little fish in a bag came off a pair of earrings. I have them. 😂
Wow can you actually imagine how much money has been thrown in the trash. Mind boggled 😮😅
It's so wild to think about! We find pennies alot, but this college move out we've been finding larger sums of coins. It's baffling!
@@breafkast it is baffling I know it's not accurate I'm sure it way more but Google says 68 million in coins are thrown out yearly and that's coins not cash.
Great Idea Materials are picked up by U-M Ann Arbor MI Waste Management Services, sorted, and donated to local non-profit organizations.
ok. anything electric that has gotten wet will still work as long as you LET IT DRY COMPLETELY BEFORE PLUGGING IT IN. put a heater/blower to it for a week, and if its something that opens up open it. itll dry much better. cell phones rescued from a river might still work if allowed to dry completely as long as theyre not underwater for a year.
I hate seeing food go to waste, I'm thankful that you and Alex save them for those less fortunate well done, I live in a small town in northern ireland and if skips where available to dive I'd do it not many homeless in my town but when I see a homeless person I buy them a sandwich and a drink rather than give the person money so they buy drink instead.
That little goldfish in the bag is so cute. I kind of think people who throw money away on purpose have never needed anything. Spoiled? The towel was probably in the mini fridge to catch any water from the freezer thawing. These were great finds!!!!! Hi Bones!😻
I think that the goldfish is an earring or necklace. I have earrings like that.
@breafkast The pole you found with the net on it is for Lacrosse. Keep it. It's great for scooping smaller items out of the dumpster. Items that the grabber just won't grab onto. I keep one in my car.

Hi, if you have wet tech like headphones etc you can dry them out by putting them in a bag with rice. The rice absorbs all the moisture in the tech.
If you have a blocked connector on a phone use blutak to remove debris. 😊

Watching this on the morning of food drive day at the post office in the town I live in. We collect several thousands of pounds of food for our local food bank today and the customers get a thank you card with a deal at a local restaurant.
Thank you for saving all that food from the dumpsters! There's definitely someone out there that will appreciate having it.

I still can't believe how wasteful we are as a country. So much good clothing and food.headed for the landfill. I'm happy that you sell the clothing and make some money. Happy hunting for more treasures.
Kelly maybe consider resuming all denim even if it’s not wearable. People are always looking for used denim to repurpose.
I take ripped jeans cut out the pockets for to craft with and use the material for either quilt blocks or Barbie doll blue jeans

Hi, I look in a couple of indoor dumpsters. I found a beautiful vase today. I took 8 tee shirts to Salvation Army today because I got some nicer ones given to me.

2:18 those velveetas pasta meals are not ever frozen they are a pantry item it was just wet from the rain they go into the pantry and you heat them up for a minute in the microwave I have like 5 of those in my pantry lol they are delicious

I used to clean at a college and the amount of waste would boggle your mind! On move out day if they didn't want to bother packing it they just threw it away . Kept my kids in clothes the entire time I worked there lol!!!

I put wooden sticks slid down in the hollow parts of those plastic drawers , makes them more sturdy , "cut to fit
