When I got my Midget I started by turning it over. I bought a new battery and checked for spark at the plug. I did not have any, so then went to the coil, which did have spark. I changed the wires and plugs. I had spark butbthe mechanical fuel pump was done. When testing the new pump the car fired up even though I was just checking the fuel pump. The point is, these engines are simple and want to run. I will keep watching and learning.
Rob, I'm really digging the videos. I first learned about you from your Project Ginsu thread on MG Experience. You are a tremendous craftsman. I'm so glad to find a regular string of TH-cam posts that are SBC related. Keep up the great work and Happy New Year!
I thought that looked like Ohio. I am originally from Clermont Co. but don't live there any more. I stumbled on your channel today so I subscribed and can't wait to see more.
Yep its Ohio😁 I’m in Licking Co. ( for now, we will see where my new shop ends up being) I hope to keep improving the channel and bring you better content in the future.
@@mgbgtguy honestly thought you were a neighbor of mine in Rochester, NY. There's a guy down the road with an early red Midget (late Sprite?) that was sitting in his yard in similar condition, LOL, he also lives next to a corn field and has some outbuildings. In a few years, I'll stop by that guy's house and see if he still has it!
Hammer engine rebuild kit! Fixing Rob's Reliable used cars for 30 years.
If a hammer don’t fix it… then you just need a bigger hammer 😁
