    Does placeit have a design or I have to create a design in another platform and upload it on placeit

    Great video! What size should I use if I’m selling mock-ups? I’ve been using 2700x2025

    Hi Mandy! I love your videos! They have taught me a lot during my POD journey. I do have a question, maybe you can help me with. I am working on designing blankets in Canva. I have purchased a bunch of blanket mockups in Etsy. They say they are for use in Canva, but the image does not fit perfectly o0n the mockup. Is there a way to correct this? Thank you!! Lisa

    I just chanced upon this and yes its been super helpful. Just realising that ive been using 3000 by 3000px for my etsy mockup and i always have to go back to canva to readjust the text on the thumbnail listing. thanks to your video i can correct it now. But i thought the recommended mockup dimension is 2000 by 2000 px?

    Huh, I don't have the shadows feature anymore if I'm using the new editor. No option to scroll passed the first three options like you did. I keep having to switch between the two. Great video though! lol

    • @studiomdesignsco
      @studiomdesignsco  ปีที่แล้ว

      Canva originally took it away when they updated to the new editor, but they are pushing it back out so you should see it soon. I think SO many people complained when it was missing in the new editor (myself included, I can’t live without it lol) 😅

    • @Jillberful
      @Jillberful ปีที่แล้ว

      There's an option to temporarily go back to the original editor that has the shadows until they get it added

    • @studiomdesignsco
      @studiomdesignsco  ปีที่แล้ว

      Correct! It’s annoying since you lose any changes made in the new editor, but it works fine for this one since the primary changes are the background remover and shadow (which are both available in the old editor thankfully) 😊

      Oh, good to know! I didn't realize you lose changes!

    What do you do if place-it doesn’t have your product? There are a couple of products I plan on selling, that I can’t find a mock-up for, so I am not sure what to do for those.
    Edit: Nevermind, you sort of answered that for me, at the end. Can you do these things in Kittl, too, like you did here, in Canva? Like add the glow around the person. The products I am thinking of selling, really don’t even have the best pictures in printify or whatever other POD company I will be using. I can’t afford to buy some of the products, Jett yet, as they are more expensive, so I will have to come up with something to make a mock-up. Thanks Mandy. Now, I have to figure out how to make videos, too. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

    We are no longer able to purchase mockups for Print on Demand products. They have already kicked off a few people for using them. I have no idea how to create a mockup without the product in my hand. I am still very new at this. I had one purchased but I couldn't remove the background all the way in canva and canva is all I know.

      The deactivations are from a bot, and they are happening to sellers with and without mockups and handmade sellers as well, not just POD. Etsy has not made any statement indicating that we can’t use mockups, and I chatted with support who confirmed the same thing. I am not panicking or jumping to any conclusions about mockups 💜

    I heard Etsy is banning sellers using mockups that don't actually show the exact product being promoted.

      Printify confirmed with Etsy that as long as the mockup is an accurate representation of the item then it is acceptable. The problem is that so much AI is floating around for mockups and a lot of popular mockups with popular designs got stolen and listed on Temu and other sites so Etsy bots flagged many authentic ones from Etsy sellers. Etsy’s handbook specifically states that if you are making Made to Order items (which POD is), then accurate mockups are acceptable. I do NOT recommend AI mockups because they are not accurate representations and customers frequently complain that their items don’t match the mockups (and customer reports like this can also get a seller flagged). You want to look for mockup sellers that use real people and real products for their photos. The ones I listed in the video are all great mockup sellers with accurate photos 😊
