What is great about this :- His diction is sharp & clear, & he's had the good sense to omit any crummy loud music-to obliterate his dialogue...Well done poster !!!
Wow! Just wow, mate! I've got a slightly bent tip on my needle and I was wailing in great despair that I'd have to buy a new one and when I've looked, they aren't cheap but you have saved my soul here. I haven't tried your method yet but I'm so grateful for this and I'll let you know my results. THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU!!!
I straighten my two old spare needles today by putting the two blocks of wood in a vise with the needle in the middle, clamped down the vise a bit put a drill on the back end of the needle and turn the drill on, slowly pulled on the drill as it turn the needle backing out the needle as I kept tightening the vise. I did this a few times and now they are straight as an arrow.
Thank you! Just bought a second-hand Iwata brush and while cleaning it I managed to bend the tip. Took me awhile but it was a big improvement. Truth be told I tried to take it a step further putting the needle in a rotary tool to spin it between the blocks. BIG MISTAKE! On the lowest speed setting the back of the needle doubled over from the centrifugal force and I had a new bend to straighten on the other end. Used a hammer and vice. Not as critical to be perfect but still facepalming.
Great 'tip'! I only recently got my first ab, a Badger Patriot 105 about four or five months back, always meant to get a spare needle as I was under the impression that once they are dinged thats it goosed. I have noticed over the last night or two working with the airbrush that something wasn't quite right and upon inspection found my needle is slightly bent. I shall try out this method and fingers crossed it works for me. I wonder if you could provide a link to the site you get your needles from stateside? I just sent off for a Renegade Krome on Friday so expecting that to land soon but noticed that the replacements for that are a bitty pricey. Many thanks :)
International Scale Modeller BTW I must mention I did use this method and it worked perfectly, so easy to do and now my needles like a new pin! lol Thanks -very much appreciated!
Wow thats righteous and Ill be trying this later this evenig as I have two bent needles for my Patriot 105 in my desk drawer. Just purchased new conversion kit a couple weeks ago becase of a bent nedle haha, I thought the Harder and Steenbeck Evo was your work horse Sir ? You said the Badger airbrush as in this video ?
Question - how do you remove a needle from an airbrush when it's bent that badly? Does it even go through the nozzle? ...I just got my first airbrush and I'm kinda paranoid I've already bent mine without even starting to spray, just removing and putting back on the needle cap >_>
@@fathernick9910 not quite what I ment, I was thinking about how do you remove neelde if it bends while inside airbrush and nozzle, you can't get a bent dip through the nozzle can you? It's quite obvious you don't want to drag a bent needle through the back so's not to catch something with the tip...

Thanks for posting this! I straightened a .15 mm H & S needle today and it worked well.
I followed this and it worked perfectly! Thank you!
doing this with grade school erasers instead of pine blocks does very nicely as well, works every time.
Right On! I was truly in need of this tip, as my tip was bent when I was trying to clean the insides

Thanks for this, if I ever damage a needle, I will try this out.

Thank you Paul.
I have to share this on my main page so I can keep it till I need it. Thank you.
Ok I was about to buy new needle but with this tip I can give second chance to the needle. Thanks!
Ingenious. Useful knowledge. You are proving your worth as a human. Bob's your Uncle? Bob's my Uncle too. Now...

This was very helpful! It's crazy most people will just tell you to buy another one…
Outstanding suggestion . Truly works!!!!
God bless you International Scale Modeller man.

1:12 - When you said "I find it cheaper to go to America", I thought those needles must be _really_ expensive.
Cheers Lee. Just found this tip. Very useful.
Cheers Will - Excuse the pun eh...lol
International Scale Modeller Damn. Unintentionally pun-tastic!
great helpful video. iv tried to do this with my finger, but this is way easier. get tip to straighten a needle.
Thanks, exactly the shape of mine, so will try later .
Did it work ?
I have plenty of scrap wood bits about. Thanks.
Thanks great stuff 👍
Nice video. Do u have one explination How to repair the PAASCHE Talon TG tip?
Agreed with Eric. Music videos with DIY how to should not be allowed. That would free up half of you tube.
Great video! But, are you straightening the bent needle tip on the top or bottom piece of wood?
Thank you! Just bought a second-hand Iwata brush and while cleaning it I managed to bend the tip. Took me awhile but it was a big improvement. What do you do, when you have a tiny knob on the tip of the needle? Basically it is still a bent, but the wood pieces don't pick it up...
nice tip, thanks man, hope i'll never have to use this tip :))))
Fantastic! Thank you

Remove needle from the front, not drag through from the back…

Good information ;-)
Thanks Kenny :)
thank u!
Pls help I can't get my needle back in to my gun. .scared of pushing it to hard and damage needle
CLEAN YOUR AIRBRUSH
Brilliant...
Brilliant!!!
i think you may have snapped the very tip off your needle.
ouuu man thax jezus ! :D
This didn't work for me, even when using harder types of wood. Shame.
Sorry, I can only assume that you're doing something wrong as it's worked for everyone else!
No matter, I got the job done by manually bending the needle back in shape using titanium pliers.
It did'nt work for him either, there was still a little hook/bend on the tip. on a fine 0.20 needle this would be no good!
It didnt work for you! check the vid again , still bent at the tip!
:)
