Hi Beth, wow that’s incredible Can-am is coming up with , I just bought the handbrake system for my Ryker, I lost a leg above the knee on 17 September 2018, but thank God with can-am Ryker I can actually go riding again I just love my bike and can’t wait to have it in place in about two weeks time. The change from a foot break to a handbrake is 3 1/2 thousand dollars Australian so expensive, but at least I’m going to be riding again
Just purchased one Friday, I'm not happy to find out that Android is not working on here. They need to make sure dealer knows this he never said anything to me.

would like to find the helmet but having a hard time understanding him completely. I found an advex helmet that seems to be for snow mobiling??
I purchased my 2023 F3S 4 months ago and now wish I would have waited! LOL I did however add a motorcycle apple carplay device to my spyder and it works great!

What apps are usable? How is it set up? Can music be changed while moving? Is the glovebox air conditioned? No difference to BRP Go other than bigger screen.
All apps compatible with Apple CarPlay can be used on the display. You just to need to connect an iPhone via USB and pair a headset via Bluetooth and you’ll be able to use the apps. BRP GO! is no longer used to mirror apps on the display, now it’s only Apple CarPlay with this new display. Music can also be changed while riding.
The glovebox is not air conditioned.
You can use either the speakers or headset to play your music. You can easily change the audio output on the display.

Amazing technology with this new screen. Very practical. Glad you can't operate it over 15km/h (10mph). Some people will love it and some won't. Good on BRP for finally catching up. Technology can be useful so long as it doesn't become a distraction and take away from the simple pleasure of riding in the wind . Cheers Beth

No. Sorry they are not backwards compatible. It is only for 2024 models and up.

Unfortunately no. It is definitely not backwards compatible. Sorry, I wish it was for mine too!
I can see this as being a handy way to use your phone without having it mounted to the handlebars. I keep my phone in the frunk on my Ryker when riding and wear IEMs with a Bluetooth DAC for music but it would be nice to have some extra functionality when riding.

Hello not sure how much pull you have and could do me a favour. I received my new 2024 sea to sky early Feb and still the Apple CarPlay, BRP connect and other gauges ie speedometer don’t work and my dealership seems to be in the dark as to when this will all be fixed by BRP. To make matter worse, when you call BRP direct they are useless and only refer you back to your dealership. Perhaps you have a contact at BRP that you could get a more direct answer. If not I understand but hoping you might. Thanks
Sorry for your troubles. I don’t know of any problems with the speedometer. Your dealership should be on top of that!!!!
As for Apple play, an update to the system, I was told, will be coming out soon.
I wonder if they will do what some car manufactures did and allow you to upgrade your recent models to get car play?

Thanks for the video but you need a lens hood... the glare is terrible. Needing to still hook the iPhone via cable is terrible. I don't need to do that in my car!

I don't think plugging it in is a big deal, I usually do that to charge it anyway but you are correct about the glare - especially since that looks like it is LCD.
Just got a new 2024 Spyder RT Limited. CarPlay does NOT work yet apparently. Anyone heard when CarPlay might actually work on these units? And yes I have a BT headset paired to the bike as well as my iPhone and it's connected via USB cable.
Hi John, thank you for the comment. I just checked directly with Can-am. They are very aware of the situation with Apple play and working to get a resolution with Apple. As soon as they do, you will simply need to update to your system (done from anywhere - no need to bring it to the dealership).
This should be resolved by April the latest. Hopefully sooner.
Purchase mine on Friday, dealer told me in a month about, but never told me that will not work on Android not happy to hear this.
@@chuckrochon1706 Until I saw the hang tag on mine that says in small print "Android auto is not yet available", I hadn't even heard AA was ever going to be supported. I'd only heard that CarPlay was going to be a feature. Hopefully you get it eventually.
Still no ACP update. Sick of hearing from Can-Am that it'll be ready "in the next two weeks" now for over a month. Now I'm hearing that it'll be Mid-April. At this point I have no confidence that it'll be released at all. Since these bikes were advertised as having ACP and they do not it's borderline fraud IMHO.

Yes! It is for all 2024 and higher Spyder models RT and F3.
Android Auto is still available in the Google Play Store. The 2024 Honda GoldWing still has it so I'm not sure why Can Am wouldn't have it or at least make it compatible. The touch screen for the Can Am Spyder is a long time coming.
Android Auto is available on Honda motorcycles because it is offered on Honda vehicles. Can am is desperately trying to get Android Auto!
Wasnt really shopping until 2nd half of this year...glad I've waited. Im a nerd for the carplay tech. Would have been pissed getting a 2023 for only a few thousand less and then seeing this announced lol

It will definitely work the gloves that have touchscreen capabilities.
Bummer that there is no Android Auto. That probably would have been the deciding factor between me buying the new year model or trying to save some money on an older model.

No, I don’t believe so. But Can am is working hard to get Android auto.

Nice to see Carplay, but interface looks a little sluggish still.
Keep in mind this demonstration was on a prototype vehicle in a concrete building. I’m confident it will be awesome.
Don't worry it does not for apple as well since is not allowed in the US yet while it is available in other countries.
However it will be at one point here in the US.
My advise is go and ask for a deal on it because it is a nice trike.

Good video on the display . Not buying the reason for no Android Auto. Especially since it has three wheels. I can go to Crutchfield , buy a radio the has Android Auto and put it in anything I want. Can Am would have been WAY better off saying they are working on it than putting out what they said. The way I took it if two wheelers can have it but not three wheelers then it's a safety issue ? Three wheelers are less safe than two ? You can do better than that ! 🤔

I'm confused, Meon.... are you blaming BRP? Also, as soon as it's available, BRP can push out an update. Same thing happened with Honda Goldwings.... they originally only had Apple, but added Android as soon as Google got their sh!t together.

What does it mean to be Android Auto certified?
Google’s Android Auto certification program ensures that Android Auto-compatible devices and cars meet certain technical and functional requirements. To become certified, an Android Auto-compatible device or car must meet several conditions. These include having minimum screen resolutions and sizes, supporting certain audio and messaging standards, and providing a safe driving experience.
Like I stated , I can get a Certifed Android Audio radio and put it in anything I want. BRP did not try or apply for certification. IF they would have then they would have started it in the promo , they didn't. That's why I said they would have been better off stating they are working on it . Yes , it can be added later in an update just like Honda did with the Goldwings.

My 2020 Honda gold wing has android auto and Apple , so I’m having a hard time believing this isn’t just BRP not wanting to pony up the $$$ for this…. The Sea to Sky has a $33.000 sticker price !!!
Honda motorcycles have an agreement because of Honda cars. At least, that was my understanding. It’s coming soon, I hope!!
Sucks that you have to have a helmet paired for it to work.
I believe it is for hands free safety, so you can voice control it without removing your hands from the handlebars. Plus you need a microphone to do so.
I have a 2024 Can Am Spyder RT Limited in which the Apple Car Play does NOT function! Waiting for Can Am to release an update! It was to be released mid February ....but as of Feb 29th has NOT released! Anxiously awaiting! My Sena S50 will NOT stay connected either...! LOVE it otherwise!

One of these days BRP will get Sirius Xm. No Android. I guess Apple paid them more money, so they are the exclusive system on the Spyder.
Hope you add Android Auto as soon as Google gets on board.
NOOOWWWW.... will you PLEASE add an automatic mode to the tranny? Honda has had this for over a decade.... and they have a semiautomatic mode (like you have). The best of both worlds. All you need is a button for this and some programing..... the tranny is already ready for it.

@RykerRydes I've made a similar plea in numerous other Spyder vids. I don't recall anyone from BRP responding. 🤷♂️ maybe someday...... hopefully by the time I'm FORCED off of two wheels by physical limitations. My wife just got a Ryker and LOVES it. Not quite enough for me.... I need a little more comfort (F3/RT level comfort).
Hope you did a better job on this than the crap that’s been on there the last 14 years. Now add a great sound system worthy of a 30k motorcycle something with some kick like a 500 watt Polk audio with 8” sub at minimum!!!
just took delivery of my new 2024 can-am spyder RT limited .AND now i,m told the manufacture has to complete a upgrade on this new unit as apple car play is not lorded on the unit ,What a terrible example of advertising a new added feature to the bike and not available ,I,m told it will be available SOON some one define SOON such a big disappointment

2024 RTL using a Samsung S22 and bike will not play music from phone. Phone works good but only audio with radio. 😡

I am sure they will update it as soon as Android auto is available. The display has wifi for easy updates.
