      And that happened when they both passed away.. Very sad, only 1 year and my mom could have seen my own place.
      I given up the fact that I will have a children because I will never retire peacefully if I did that. Just preparing for my retirement at this age and just enjoy the rest of my life alone or with a partner until my demise. Can't afford to risk and hustle too much. Peace is more important at this age.

    Most people don't really have a passion for their career, they just reach a point where they have bills to pay and are forced to get a job to make an income. You're in a fortunate situation with parents that are willing to give you a place to stay as needed and there's nothing wrong with that. We all have our own individual advantages in life and need to lean into them to maximize our chances of succeeding. It's a good choice to live at home to save up money and pay off those debts. I hope by now you've felt the pain of living in debt and with constant overdrafts and never want to be in that situation again

    I think you're correct about the comment likely being from someone in the U.S. and they are likely in their 30s/40s. My family has stood behind the idea that once you're 18, you're out of the house. It's this horrible sense of "tough love" but i feel like things are changing here now. I first left when I was 16 out of anxiety of having to leave at 18, failed hard and returned home after half a year. At 18, I had to be out again. It's so stupid and just made me think my parents didn't give a shit. And while I did survive, i felt like there was so much unnecessary suffering. And for what, to "build character"? Every other culture is at home until they get engaged or get married. Families are much more untited than they are here in the states. On this topic Daniel I agree with you. Its a American thing and some British too. But it's normal to live with your parents in any other culture especially Asian until any age. As long a s you contribute what you can. All those that think its not normal are the losers and most of the time they are jealous.

    I stumbled across your Elden Ring review before this and to sum it up, you said "I died a lot not because I'm bad, but because the game is bad. So I quit. 4.2/10, don't buy." Giving up before even trying seems to be a theme in your life. You missed out on one of the best games of all time and now youre missing out on a life of your own.

    Life is fleeting, all that money you accumulate is gone when you are dead. Daniel isn't stealing, killing anyone or doing anything illegal. Leave the dude alone. Don't compare yourself to others. Each of us are just trying to get by and live the life we want to live, whether we are rich or poor. The dude has enough money to travel and has support from his parents. No one should judge him. Keep doing your TH-cam videos Daniel.

    @10:32 as an Indian i can confirm that. It is considered normal here. Infact if someone is living away from their parents then people think there's something wrong within the family. Or people look down upon the adults who don't live with their parents and the thinking behind this is that like the parents took care of u till u got on ur feet now it's ur responsibiliy to look after them when they are old and weak. Here people don't just drop their parents at an old age home or something. This is the reason why Indian community thrives wherever they go in the world coz if u see economically also it's a pretty good idea. There's a reason why Indian-Americans are the highest income group in America. There average income exceed many times than even the white people. But these capitalists promote individuals to live away from their parents coz in this way u can consume more compared to living with the family. U will have to get ur own fridge, washing machine, microwave and other kitchen equipments etc. That's why the people of west are programmed in that way that look down upon people living with their parents. It's not like they live off of their parents money. They also earn a lot and still live with their parents just to take care of them. In India Family is considered everything.

      @ronnychristenjoyer6778 When you help other people, it activates the reward center in your brain and releases serotonin, dopamine, and endorphins, which is why many people often feel better after volunteering. From this perspective it ain't exactly selfless.
      Unless people feel nothing or even bad after volunteering, then it can be considered a selfless act.

    • @ronnychristenjoyer6778
      @ronnychristenjoyer6778 29 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@AL-ve3ym I'd argue that your inner motivation makes the difference here. Helping others in need does make you happier, that's true. But if you help for the sake of helping, then the happy chemicals are just a nice by product, not your motivation. If your motivation is happy chemicals, I don't think people think about volunteer work, they'd rather just drink or eat or have sex when that is their motivation. A selfish form of volunteering may be personal glory seeking, where you wanna be seen by others and be considered a good person, which would also be a self driven, pseudo selfless action. But genuine volunteering for the sake of spending part of your time and resources for the benefit of others that need it does exist. Wanting to do the right thing to your own disadvantage exists. I think what really motivates you internally decides whether an outward action is secretly self driven or actually selfless, not the chemicals that may be released in that moment or afterwards, because again, there are far more potent ways to get those happy chemicals if that's your motivation.

    • @AL-ve3ym
      @AL-ve3ym 28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @ronnychristenjoyer6778 "If your motivation is happy chemicals, I don't think people think about volunteer work, they'd rather just drink or eat or have sex when that is their motivation."
      "A selfish form of volunteering may be personal glory seeking, where you wanna be seen by others and be considered a good person, which would also be a self-driven, pseudo selfless action"
      Not forgetting wanting to be considered a good person on a personal and private basis is also a self driven, pseudo selfless act.
      Although not seen by others, this is still seeking for some form of emotional goodness in return.
      It may not be intentional, but it doesn't eliminate the fact that somewhere it lies in your unconsciousness of wanting to gain something out of the act.
      Back to your first paragraph that I highlighted here, the point I'm trying to make is that you can have happy chemicals as your main motivation AND still think about volunteering instead of sex/food.
      They are not mutually exclusive.
      Because majority are still seeking for some form of "I'm so holy and kind" spiritual happy chemicals in return from volunteering acts, that of which you cannot achieve with sex or food. Therefore it is not a 100% selfless deed.
      "But genuine volunteering for the sake of spending part of your time and resources for the benefit of others does exist.
      Wanting to do the right thing to your disadvantage does exists"
      Perhaps it does exist, but out of 7.7 billion people in the world the statistics and percentages are so low it might as well be close to non-existent and immaterial.
      Just look at the amount of money/subscribers going into the porn industry as compared to charitable organisations. It's laughable.

      A lot of people also move out for opportunities though. A year or two ago, I actually would have agreed with everything you said, but I'm from a part of the UK which is pretty dead if you're not a student and I'm just so sick of seeing the same people with their small town mindset. Yes rent in the big city fucking sucks but I've been able to explore things and meet people I never would have, start dating, expanding my network etc.
      So I think it's simply pros and cons. Had I chosen to be a doctor or engineer, I would have probably been good to stay at home and then just keep on living there, but for a lot of us we want to see other parts of the world and different ways of life.
      I'm really grateful to my parents for never kicking me out, and in fact even now they're more than happy for me to live with them. We're not all that privileged, so I think for people with parents as a safety net it might actually make more sense to get out there and do 'exciting' things, like perhaps long-term travelling, working abroad or living in a large city.
