Beautiful bikes. Kind of nice seeing the old incandescent headlights at night. Reminds me of the feeling of fighting to see around the next bend in the road. Sometimes limitations can add to the sense of adventure.

Reminded me of when I tried to achieve Vmax on the Autobahn on my S1000RR loaded up with Kriega soft luggage flapping around, leaning in to a sidewind and not being able to breathe or see with helmet pushed flat against my face 😂 Great fun!

At 14:42 you are passing the "Schnitzelalm" on the left and heading up the Oberjoch Straße. A very nice stretch of road. It was used for hillclimb races until 1989.
Great episode guys, really entertaining one. So many people billy big bollocks it about getting in the Autobahn & maxing it out but it's bloody terrifying. You feel so vulnerable & I've got no idea how dozens of people aren't killed daily when you have a combination of myopic Sunday drivers & people doing the double ton on the same stretch of road. Bonkers.
I haven’t had a bike since 2015, but have always enjoyed tuning into 44t. Definitely the best BBB yet

Great episode of BBB guys, back to the feel of BBB of old, and Chris your assessment of the Blade was spot on, it seems to have been forgotten in the mists of time that the Blade was, from it's inception designed as a light sporty road bike aimed at fast road riders, it wasn't eligible for the race classes of the day, and that was the foundation of its success,
Brought back my own memories of the Autobahns, at 135mph the mirrors on my Diavil would fold in, you’d put your hands out from behind the touring screen to push back and feel the force of the wind blast. No matter how much you tightened the mirrors, it would happen around that speed.

Every biker knows this and reacts pretty much the same, I'd guess. I used to - not always responsible - ride a motorbike, but it's also pretty much the same on a person-powered one in the cities. That and car-people opening their doors without checking, I'd wager.

I liked and empathised with what Al said at one point, he said, "I dont know what I would do without bikes". I feel the same way, its almost scary to think of the vacuum that would be left without them to occupy me. Sad really
Likewise, spend my week commuting on my 390 Duke and weekends going Boxhill or various biker haunts on the bigger one (currently a 900LC), if I had to stop riding I couldn't do it.....
