@@LocoDev Sure what makes you covetable just trying to understand animation blueprints to get a good feel for movement.😅 I did not mean to say jog in place I meant to say you turn in place and jog turn back. lol
It's not hard, firstly you get the Character >> Get Actor Rotation >> Calculate Direction. Connect Velocity to Velocity and you will get the Direction from the Return Value
Bro I did the retarget too and also faced the issue that the hands are wide open but I edited every single animations now it's fine looking if you want it then just say I will give my drive link
Spacebourne 2 has a real good looking lean while running/sprinting. I’d be so proud if I put out that game. Congrats to that guy! And thanks for the tute loco!
Hi, I'm not connecting the animation directly in the output pose, I have a state machine with multiple animations (Walk, Run, Jump, etc..) and my character is not playing the leaning animation. Any idea why?
Where's the tutorial? 0:31
my comment maybe too late, he setit up on "8 Directional Movement on UE5" 11:00
I would like to see more realistic animation tutorials if you want to do that.🙂
Sure, I'll be happy to do them :)
@@LocoDev Are you going to do the turn and jog in place?
@@wesleywinchester1890 I might do the turn together with the character looking like in ALS, I don't know about the jog in place how it would be?

Looks fab, great tutorial. That slide in the end looks dope, any chance of a tutorial, third person or Lyra Template appreciated.
You just need an Animation for that, and on the Character BP You will use the node PlayMontage
So i need to watch a whole other tutorial to get a single variable for this tut LOL

I get Load Errors, saying the run right and left samples are out of bonds?
Hmm I'm not sure how to help, can you provide more info?
@@LocoDev not sure what the problem was, I ended up going with another way, using additive poses

did you check if you replaced the walk and run animation correctly?
@@LocoDev Yes, I did
hmm, it could be many things, you can contact me on discord for help Fabiano#8438

Oh it's look easy) Thank you for example😀
you probably should've started off with demonstrating how to make the animations.
I wanted to start off without showing the animations to make it to be a "3 minute tutorial challenge"
