For the single/dual color combinations, kodama/toggo and jeska/dargo are both decks i've tried out where there's a very clear mechanical synergy between the two partners (infinite landfall and "deal 21 commander damage to someone asap"). Halana/Alena and Rebbec/Glacian also have mechanical incentive to be run together but they're also partners in the more literal/lore sense so it's pretty unsurprising that they work well together. My personal favorite pairing is probably Silvar/Trynn, but it's about what you would expect out of a mardu aristocrats deck and I'm mostly in it for the flavor so ymmv
I'm currently running two Partner decks (Armix|Rebbec and Malcolm|Breeches) and I love that despite them being two-color, they play a fun focused playstyle
Just built a tymna/Sakashima deck. Small evasive creatures with a bunch clones and stax pieces. I always found myself wanting to play opponents creatures and now with sakashima I can.
thats like hating modern because tron isnt actually about assembling a robot called voltron lol. 99% of competitive decks dont make sense flavorwise because nobody in competitive settings gives a fck about flavor xD
@@ich3730 That's a terrible example and it shows you don't really play magic, not understanding the flavor is the color pie. I'm not talking about a deck theme lmfao Knew there was going to be a cEDH simp going to try to make some silly argument lmfao
@@ammonaustin9081 "cEDH simp" = "you dont really play magic" ? Atleast decide if you wanna call me a sweatlord or a casual, pick one xD And i was talking about competitive magic in general, we do share the animosity against cEDH. Although my dislike of the format is more about lack of diversity in the meta, the inherent difficulties of free-for-all games and the lack of a coherent banlist. But where was i wrong? Flavor or fun has never been a consideration for decks in competitive situations, thats just a fact of the matter.
@@ich3730 A cEDH player doesn't mean someone who actually plays Magic well lmao. Just means someone who plays cEDH power level decks. cEDH has tons of casuals who barely know how to play their deck.

Partner umbrella term.
If there is anything lamer than commander, it’s 2 commanders.
Partner decks are probably the #1 reason I hate cEDH. Nothing is more boring & unflavorful than 4c soups
Tbf, its very strange to see flavorful decks in cedh, since ots focused more towards power than flavor
