    I did a hugee project based off of all the aspects and more that you mentioned in college and I kept it knowing it was helpful. Now I'm using it to start my own brand. I love your videos so far. Very refreshing.

      @@eou4417 It’s going well! I don’t rely heavily on social media and I’ve made relationships with people in my community by doing markets and word of mouth sales. Hoping to hire someone soon to pattern make so I can focus more on business side. It’s a lot of work and dedication and I have had periods where I thought it wasn’t what I was supposed to do but I’m about to start selling in a local businesses store. There’s my update :)

    Love your content. Hope you answer me.
    In this modern day and age of viral obsession and everyone wanting their brand to be spread by word of mouth, how can one maintain the weight and gravity of the brand and yet still be approachable and not cheap or sell oneself out?
    Let's take Lamborghini or Versace for instance. I think if they interact and engage with rando...lol... on social media it makes them personable and impressionable and probably makes someone's day... OTOH, if those luxury, high end brand keeps interacting with everyone, it dilutes their presence.
    What to do? How can one tow a fine line between hard-to-get rara avis yet at the same time have everyone talking without appearing mass consumerist junk?
    Thank you.

    • @FashionBrief
      @FashionBrief  2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      As far as I’ve observed, I think nowadays the commercialization of luxury brands are getting more than ever. They want to sell more and fast. Of course for big brands such as Dior or Louis Vuitton, they are not afraid of losing customers. So what they are acting now in terms of marketing strategies is (to some extent) to have some interaction with customers. But on the other hand, the old rules of luxury may not be able to apply to the market 100% now. As there is no social media at that time.
      In my point of view there is no black and white answer to this, as brands are making effort to find the balance. However, the brand perception is sometimes subjective. As we might think that the brand is junk while the others think it is amazing. So chances are high that the brand will listen to how the market react, not only listening to themselves.

      The problem is , you can't determine your brand is luxury or not. It come from heritage, it comes from who you are as a person. It's in people's hand wether or not you are worthy enough of being called a luxury.

    How do you maintain visibility and exclusivity at the same time??

    • @FashionBrief
      @FashionBrief  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      The brands can limit the customers for certain amount of products and at the same time brands need to maintain the desire of customers so that they are willing to wait for their turn. In this case, visibility is key!
