  • After a short flight from Athens to Naxos, we finally arrive on our first Greek Island. Even a few minutes after leaving the airport, we fell in love. It's quite possibly our favorite Greek island!
Our Airbnb was in the most perfect location (Agios Prokopios) with wonderful restaurants, bakeries, and a stunning beach! We were very amazed by how salty the Mediterranean was.
We went to the Eggares Olive Press Museum after our dip in the ocean to learn a little about the olive press and buy some fresh olive oil. The spread of olive oil and food they had to try was amazing! Definitely worth a visit.
The rest of the day was spent exploring Naxos town, followed by spontaneously going to a little white church on top of a mountain to watch the sunset. We had it all to ourselves, and it was so magical.
All we can say is we love Naxos! Absolutely everything was perfect, and we were already wishing we had more time on this lovely island.

Currently planning a trip for Greece with my daughter for her sweet 16. We are going to Binge watch your Greece videos together. The beach looks perfect for relaxing and swimming. Wow the path alongside the water looks like a must do! 😍 Enjoying your Greek background music. I agree… just walk around and enjoy. Thank you for taking us along for your gorgeous trip!

Naxos is underrated as an island. Many good beaches, especially for families, good local food and relatively cheap

I might be biased but greek honey is so good. Now I am ready to go back and try this island. I am imusch a sucker for greek pastries. I had my share while we were there. The beach looked great. Very blue. Olive oil museum looked great. Did you find the island pretty big compared to others? It looked big from Paros but hard to tell. We totally loved the greek coffee. It was so good like everywhere.

Greek honey is better than good, it’s amazing! Same with the freddo cappuccinos, pastries, and well... almost everything. Haha
It’s one of the biggest islands! That’s what we really liked about it. Felt like there was a large variety of things to do and area to explore. 😊

Very beautiful guys, magical sunset! You are a very beautiful couple! I watched all your videos from your adventure so far in Greece. I was also in Athens from 10.07 to 22.07, and it was beautiful! Greetings from Munich and thank you! P.S.: By the way, if you get the chance, and you're still in Greece, try pastitsio, this is the Greek version of lasagna, not moussaka!

Thank you for the incredibly kind comment and thanks for following along! ☺️
We can’t believe we lucked out and found such an amazing spot to watch the sunset. It’s such a special memory, and we are so happy we could capture the sunset so beautifully.
We already got some tips about the pastitsio, so it’s on our list for our next visit!

Matt don't drink Frappe so fast mate 😂. It's not water. It's a really heavy coffee with big amounts of caffeine.

Love you video. You are both so sweet. Thank you for the narrative on Eggares Olive Museum. That's on my itinerary for Sept.
I want to check out that church (Theologaki) you went to for sunset. I tried to see how to get there on google maps. At what point did you get out of the car and walked up?

Thank you so much for your sweet comment! Those were two of our highlights. You’re going to love it. 😊
If I remember correctly, we drove right up below the church and pulled off slightly on the side of the road. I think there was a gated private resident near where we pulled off too.

Thank you. ☺️ We went end of May. The water was a little cold at first. It takes some time to adjust, but once you’re in you don’t want to get out!

No they do not ship as far as we are aware. 🙁 Be sure to have a big enough suitcase to bring home some goodies!
