I bought this over the holidays directly from Flic. It is such a great product, I wanted to leave a review here too. I needed something that could control my Lifx bulbs and these fit the bill perfectly for that. Each button supports three commands (tap, double tap, tap/hold) that can be programmed with different settings. The hub is easy to work with and the range is good for my flat. The only thing that is a downside - lack of widespread direct integrations. It supports IFTTT but that requires a bunch of manual configuration. As the product grows/develops and they add more direct integrations, this will be even better.
Nice video Geek street! The flic button really lookes nice, like the fuctionality that it works with homekit and alexa. Like your reviews on Smart Tech a lot. #ShareTheLove
@@GeekStreet thanks for the amazing quick reply!! I will look into this. Times are so different nowadays. We have so many hubs, switchers for our tv setup and switches for our routers, would be great one day just to have 1 hub that does it all like a remote control!
As always a great video. Have been looking at these for some time and now they seem to have upped their game, there are so many things we can now use these for. I now need to seriously consider these #ShareTheLove
Always look to this channel for smart home inspiration. This flic is exactly what I need, as Alexa doesn't always listen and I don't always want to talk. So much easier to press a button. It's crazy how much it can do! #ShareTheLove #GeekStreet #flicbutton
#ShareTheLove seems a really handy bit of kit battery life is amazing and the power of routines just gets better and better, Did i mention it also looks really smart too
First of all great video and what looks like a very interesting product. I like how it can be used with and without a hub. The number of integrations are impressive as well and how you can have multiple routines making the automations endless. I could see this working really well around the home when you are heavily invested with various tech. This product can be really useful when you have the elderly living alone as a means of contacting a neighbour or a loved one in an emergency. It could be a life saving device. #ShareTheLove
Been using some Gen1 Flics for a while now and have been enjoying them a lot. Great to see some of the expanded services, and you've definitely got me eyeballing the hub now. #ShareTheLove
Funny how I got a notification for this video just while I was looking for ways to implement some additional physical buttons in my smart home! I love how rather than being limited to just a single press of the button to trigger an action you can even double or long press it! Both this one and the 4 buttons switch you reviewed last week seem like such great products and I can't wait to get my hands on them to try them out myself! I also want to take this comment as an opportunity to thank you for your amazing in-depth reviews and for recommending the ENERJ dimmer switch that I actually ended up buying a while ago! It works great! Keep up these amazing videos and thanks for sharing! #ShareTheLove
Loving flic. Makes me glad that I've opted to fill my home with Echo devices instead of Google Home. The routine opportunities that this opens up are awesome. A lot of work has been done to make tech like this more accessible for people who are less technically savvy. #ShareTheLove
#sharethelove I’d love a flic as I’m just starting out with all this home automation head fart stuff and would love one to be able to turn my daughters night light off when she falls asleep so I don’t have to keep getting out of bed every night! At 28 my knees aren’t cut out for it anymore lol..I also just placed an order for some “bee friendly plant seeds” to spread in my garden because bee’s need love too! Keep up the great work Geekstreet! It’s great to see a UK TH-camr show casing devices like this one that’s easily accessible! You’ve made lockdown go a hell of a lot quick with your content :)
Would be great if it could be setup to run a goodnight routine and on the following click run the good morning routine and so on. However, I expect it's probably not possible out of the box
Just watched the entirety of this video (rather than 5 minutes) as I couldn't in the morning because I had to do some work. I just realised how cool this would actually be. Hopefully I win the giveaway, if I don't I'll probably just buy it, it's actually cool. #ShareTheLove
