Just a quick little one here. On the upside I can see a forecast for some decent weather on the south coast coming. Hopefully it holds and I can make something happen with it
We always enjoyed your fishing trips in difficult places... great experience in the field of fishing with reeds. You are the best I have ever seen in your content.
Did good brother. To target 1 species without them being schooled up is a hard task and you got 1. Many would think it a bad day but in reality you did good . Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Gido nice little session, family first us fishing addict's second haha, we will all be he when you manage to knock out a video. Keep up the good work. Cheers
I do the same thing gido😂 wife sleeping before she goes to work. My kid is @ school. Good to go fishing for a bit before the kiddo is done with school and wife wakes up to get ready for work 😂
I'm surprised you need a bit of a decent blow to get those Hobies sailing, especially a tandem with only one person on it, that extra waterline and lack of another body you'd think would equate to a slippery quick boat. I built a 17 foot sea kayak 20 years ago which I've still got and I've toyed with the idea of setting it up as a sailing tri, but now I'm in my 60s I prefer to just paddle in calmer weather and do some fishing from it. After hearing you're take I think I'll forget about the sailing tri yak idea
The main problem Gido raised was the weakness of the outrigger arms and oceans he mostly fish have large swell which pick up when the wind blows, but where there is less swell the sailing is fine.
Imagine if this was the only video of your's that someone saw? They would have no idea how great your channel is! "Yeah, it's okay... I mean... he caught a squid."
I have the smaller sibling hobie AI. I've had 4 different hobies over the years and the AI is the best by far. It's purely a fishing craft and I use it in all configurations including just the single hull! I contemplated the TI but the size and weight presented too many limitations. There are plenty of really experienced yak anglers in the SW of WA who you could join up with to yak fish more and fine tune your setup to be more effective and efficient. The comradeship of yak anglers is like no other, maybe it's something to do with the dangers of being in a small craft miles from shore
In the Philippines we use a LOT of pontoon canoes to fish, we had a pontoon snap on the way in, luckily we were only a mile or so from shore, so we shifted our weight to the other side and b-lined it to shore, but I get the sentiment, it's even scarier when you're on the water by yourself
Ahhh good mate you liked my idea of going north again, how far up? Kalbarri Tailor or further, love it up there but I don’t have fishing buddy so you need to pick your spots.
@@Timbuctoo crawfish but also I forgot to mention that you can also spearfish of jettys if your comfortable doing so and getting soaked by freezing water lol
Ok, if we’re talking about wishes… every time you hold something for us to see to the camera you always shake it 6:59 and that makes it nigh on impossible to see what it is. 😁 Love your vids though.

Loved it like the way u talked the whole way about everything and were to fish and what to look for..
Mate, you have a life and we understand. We will always be here for you.
I really enjoy whatever you do, it's our man nature to go in the wilderness/adventures and "hunt"...this is freedom for us.

Big fan of a few seconds of underwater footage wherever you are

Just nice to watch the adventure, even if it wasn't that productive for you. Good on ya Gido 👍
You may not like catching those various fish that aren't good eating, but most of them are pretty interesting to look at

Very nice video. Thanks for the craft info.
Well mate that’s fishing we all know what it’s like at least had a bit of fun 😊
Cheers Wombat 🐾🦑👍
It’s the wife’s fault 😂😂😂😂🤗

Thank you sir .. love your video
Thanks for giving an honest assessment of the Hobie! It’s good to know - I’ve been considering getting one so good to know the good and the bad
Yay finally another post! I’ve been hanging out for this Gido - ya not getting soft in the winter ?!😂😂
possibly haha
Nice spot. 1 nice squid is rad. Better than donut land ❤
I love fishing but this is one of the only two fishing channels I watch. Most are to obnoxious. Always good Gido and often great!
Loved❤❤
God job master👍
We are definitely back in WA next year. I will have to find a couple of spots to spearfish, the visibility looks great. Everyone has slow days.
Cool I’m actually from WA the beaches are usually best places to spear fish
@@DaVlogAndGamer don't you need some structure? What do you shoot at the beach?

Is your summer over , I can't get used to the fact that our seasons are opposite lol
Love your video men 👍👍🔥🔥🔥

A Gido Quicky ? 👍
"And now a word about today's sponsor - Hobie Cat"
I don't know if the camera distorts depth perception, but the clouds look low enough to the water to reach out and touch them.
I reckon you should catch some big dhu fish.
I agree
Yeee 🤙🏽

Very comfortable kayak
What do you do if you want to anchor down?
Throw in an anchor. I didn't bring my anchor with me that trip
Stabicraft 1450 with a 40hp 4 stroke man....
yes thats would be a great boat, too big to drag up on rocks but perfect for sandy bays and heading offshore
poho mauela ka pilau ka wana poke'
First 😂
Better luck next time mate
