I bet these kids make Rodney M so proud!
Ohhh for sure! It’s incredible what people are doing in freestyle now!
As soon as I started watching I was getting big Rod M vibes 💯
Rodney M = G.O.A.T !!!!!!
I think freestyle skateboarding should be in the Olympics too. So much goes into this style of skateboarding.
Agree, really surprised it’s not.
100%.
I hope the committee sees the potential in Freestyle. It’s so fun to watch too.
@@maldosmadness i think the common people who aren’t into skateboarding would actually be very interested in the freestyle events and really enjoy it. It’s super impressive! And people outside of skateboarding culture will totally see that
In my opinion the trick at 0:54 could win the entire competition. To me it looked like like a fingerflip hardflip, and I have to say, you just don't get to see skill like that everyday.
@@branden3102 yeah, he’s unreal. Even his opening trick was enough for me to be like “shit, he’s ahead already” lol. I completely agree with you though!
Bro I had to replay that part like 6 times! Holy crap! 😮
@@bigmike1547 right!! Its so wild!
@@maldosmadness You should check out some of the vids when he was a kid - Kuma films made one. He was born with a skateboard in his hand
So Happy to see the this style of skateboarding. LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! shred on young man!!
Agreed! Its great to see all aspects of skateboarding! So expressive in its own right 💥 stoked you liked the video!
I watched this video and was absolutely blown away. It's hard to imagine seeing the things this man is doing but your eyes don't believe it. You have to watch every trick in slow motion to even get a sense of what's actually happening with the board. It's extremely hard for me to imagine that a skateboard can actually even be manipulated that way let alone with such grace. The dance between the man and the board is beautiful.
Man, what an amazing statement you said about Isamu. I agree 100%. There’s so much happening during his run, it’s so easy to overlook a lot of the tricks with some that are flashy. He really does skate effortlessly, and his skill set is unreal. I’ve been really fortunate getting to see him compete a lot over the years, and I can confirm that he’s only getting better each year. Believe me, I’m still impressed on what he can do with the skateboard. It’s almost a guarantee that he will win each time he goes to Canada for this competition. I believe this was his 6th 1st place finish. It’s amazing how consistent he is with hard tricks at the same time.
Smooth as heck. What an absolute pro
Crazy run! 🤯
So true! His consistency and level of difficulty is insane!
Crispy and clean
So true 💥
bro that was outrageous!. landing so many crazy moves without messing up once
is he considered one of the best Freestyle riders at the moment? i'm completely out of the loop
The consistency is what’s the hardest in this discipline of skateboarding. I feel like many people forget that it’s so different when you have everyone watching you skate. He does it like it’s nothing lol.
But you’re right! He’s one of the top skaters in freestyle. This was his 6th time winning it at the World Round up in Canada 🇨🇦.
But there are some heavy contenders in the making right now. Such as Yuta Fuji, Denham Hill, Orson Merry, and others!
I would love it if someone added "Tony Hawk Pro Skater" scoring graphics to these videos just for fun
@@Multi_Purpose_Weirdo that’s a great concept! I wish I knew enough design animation work for that lol
I'm grateful they added freestyle skating to the reboot of the game.
The evolution of skateboarding is awesome.
Agreed! It’s amazing to witness all this madness 💥
On point all day life skateboarding
Facts! I agree with your statement!
wow, that was excellent!
Agreed! It’s been great getting to see him compete over the years 💥He only keeps getting better and better!
my jaw hurts from how hard it dropped to the floor... jeeeeezubs
I can imagine! Idk how he can be so precise while going that fast on a skateboard. It’s unreal
00:54 and 1:56 - 2:03 were fucking SICK! Holy shit, I've never seen anything like that before on a skateboard...
That's human advancement! ❤😊
It truly is! It’s amazing what can be done on a skateboard these days 😀
this guy is badass no doubt, looks similar to what rodney was doing 40 yrs. ago.
You’re absolutely right.
Insane
@@ganeshlange4354 100%! He’s so precise and fast!
Bravissimo ! Wooowww! 🤙💪
Agreed!!! 💥💥💥
That was insane
Facts! It almost seems like he never misses on his tricks
Fucking insane!
Right?!? He keeps getting better every year.
Best of the best hands down. 💪💪💪💪
100%!!
Canada seems so more open to general radness. The audience is so awesome here. Ha. Skateboarding rules.
It’s so true. They hold it down for skateboarding of all disciplines. I agree 100%!!
Gleaming the Cube!
Haha! I love that reference!
wow wow wow wow wow
Wow indeed!!
WoW
@@jakubtallee1233 agreed!!
1:24 I heard someone say 'damn' and knew i recognised the voice; it's nka Nigel 😅
Good guess! But he wasn’t there this year. He was there last year though.
Looks like half the crowd was expecting to see a rodeo, bet they turned in their cowboy hats and lassos for skateboards after this uber mind blowing performance
Foreal! It was awesome to witness it again. Last time I saw him skate was just before the height of the pandemic. Stoked that we are back in session for events now 💥
I can’t even stand on a skateboard without falling 😂
The key is to get back up and try, try again! 😃 you got this!
This is kind of as close to superhuman anime anime as humans can get lol
This is such a great comparison. You made me think differently just now lmao. You’re right about that!
I use to think he walked all over Andy but that seemed slightly more human than usual Japanese efforts
Wonder if his grandpappy or great uncle was Isoroku Yamamoto.
@@joshuapowers4623 I’ve honestly thought about the same thing… I wonder if he’ll make a documentary about his family at some point. I’d be interested to hear about it too lol
Tony hawks games special tricks in real!
Hahaha Foreal! You nailed it right on the head 🎯
And all done on a Walmart board is craazzyy
Lmao! 🤣
comparing every freestyle rider to rodney is like comparing every street skater to nyjah..
You’re absolutely right. If only they mentioned the other great freestylers of that era too. Like Per Welinder, Kevin Harris, Ray Meyer, Don Brown. The list goes on and on. But it makes sense, the ones that get the most attention are those that win a lot in competitions. But now with Yuto Horigome in the mix, it’s looking tough. Sorry, I was a little off topic lol
Nyjah is not a street skater.
@@pumpking3114 dude kills so many streets spots. It’s not even funny. What are you even talking about?
@pumpking3114 ...what?
Finally this next generation is almost as good as rodney mullen was 30 years ago!😂 humanity has almost caught up
Things are looking bright in freestyle, I agree! The consistency is so hard to find these days.
人間じゃねぇwww
Amen to that!
just another rodney
Agreed! But incorporating crazy footwork in the process 💥
Sk8board wizard
He truly is!
I think this type of skating is ight. He should really consider street skating tho, like Rodney
He does street here and there. But he dominates in the freestyle category. Maybe when he’s older, he’ll probably take it to different heights.
If Rodney's run was 9/10, then this kid is around 5/10
Pretty sure these street boards didn't exist yet either just those old sleds
Rodney was pretty flawless. Consistency is what’s strived for these days. So many step off their runs, so a perfect run like Isamu’s is really hard to replicate. On top of the level of difficulty in his tricks. But I’m not taking away from Rodney, he’s the godfather of skateboarding 💥
hondas better
What about Toyota though?
No style. Call Rodney or andy anderson for some classes.
@@pumpking3114 it’s hard in freestyle competitions, because what gets you at the top, is the level of difficulty and amount of tricks you put into your routine. As well as not missing any tricks. He’s still young, and I think he’ll be just fine when he gets older. The style will come when he decides to step back from comps. You can tell he’s drilled for competition though. It’s unreal when you watch him in person 💥
Rodney would be on Isamu's side on this one bud. He would absolutely be stoked to see what he managed to influence and create - you have no idea what you are talking about.
I get that it requires high skill and discipline, but this looks like just another teenager with nothing else to do to me.
I can see your point, but man…. This was his 6th time winning 1st place. But he’s also pro for Powell Peralta. He’s got reason to continue to dominate 😄
@maldosmadness this sounds really impressive. I guess you have to really understand the tricks to even begin to know what an accomplished athlete he is.
@@Kahsimiah 1:54 im sorry but how is THAT considered "another teenager with nothing else to do"?
what other teenager you know of his age that does that on almost EVERY single run...? 😅
and just fyi there is footage of this kid under the age of 10 doing the exact same tricks, i like to call it pure talent :)
@VorrTechs so he hasn't done anything new since he was ten? Jeez. Nothing else to do AND lazy!
@@Kahsimiah he hasn't done anything new because he already mastered every move that everyone's favorite skateboarder does
and calling this kis lazy is about the saddest thing i have heard, praying for your mentality and hopefully you'll get some friends and a life later on :) 👍
