Stylistically it reminds me of Wildstar so much.
I loved Wildstar's style.
And it feels so many ways like Wildstar, there are some jokes and the voices acting is good.

I don't mind a slow old school game. But it needs to be fun and easier to start with imo. This seems even more hardcore than Wildstar! And we all know that story. I think making a game for casuals mainly is the first path to success.
Could you show all races, all classes and all their abilities. I want to find out what I want to play when I get access.
I really like the aspect of either playing very smart in regards to combat, or grouping with people to share the damage and increase clear speed. Basically forcing you to be social in an mmo. Not seen often
It's definitally an MMO where you have to group. I did everything with a group 3 times as fast as alone. The lack of regen hurts less, you clear mobs easily and can share aggro. Doing it solo at the start is very hard.
In the last Alpha it was hard to group up with all this server/shard problems. It was nearly impossible to get in the same shard, often we could not see each other even we are on the same position. But yes it would be nice to group up at the start and do the first quest in a group to make it faster. I loved my Bomber Med also for solo. Easy with self-heal after you get the first artefacts. Saves a lot of food and campfire.
@@jheigl1980 the server issues were unfortunate but I was still able to group up. I grouped with random people in the same shard. I think a major part of the design philosophy is to go back to the EverQuest days, where you would group with random people doing the same quests or mobs. Instead of ignoring people who are not your premade party. Eventually I would lose these people to random disconnects which was sad.

@@Partyrockk I think its way too quick to judge. People have been consistently providing the devs with feedback on how slow and difficult the early levels are, especially solo.
I think we'll likely see a lot of solid QOL and balance changes before launch, since it's still a bit of a ways out from launch.

Albion added it by popular demand. V Rising and Hades solidified it as a viable option.

they have a great core foundation for the game but resources, health, map quest those definitely need to be look at, great vid.

@kckillakrack9714 if they want a game for hard-core players only game will be dead after a couple months gamers don't want another job.
@standylixgames7757 I think that's fine. Catering to everyone is usually what makes a gane die, because it starts to be just like every other game.
I for one am also excited to about the slow paced hard-core nature. The game will have a group of players who also enjoy that, just like the other person in the replies.

ARPG is the wrong Genre to mention, it is more tactical MOBA combat like DOTA2 or LoL where you jungle in an Open World! This is better explained IMO....

a suggestion for the map because I was constantly opening it, is inserting a text/icon markers. I meet X I mark his position with 'X', I see a corn field `I leave a corn icon in that place on the map`. keeps the explorative feeling but gives me the luxury of not losing my mind trying to remember where was that NPC or boar spawn!
hmm.. this is an MMO? is there a reason to why this is not a single player game?
Despite me disliking LazyPeon, I am truely agreeing with him on wanting this game to succeed. It's hilarious and fun to watch and I'm gonna buy it soon.
Btw I feel like you're a bit too whiny bout tutorials. The game's meant to make you struggle and get confused with where and what to do... it's freedom whadya want? Anyway though it wouldn't hurt to add a "tips" UI so some people can get info while others can blissfully have nothing BOTHERING them about HOW to play.
This game is easy when you know almost everything about it, there is some guides, where you can lvl up to 5 lvl fast and easy with only quests.
About getting Bread, its easy to make, seeds selling same npc who gave you quest to ger 10 eat tails, later on there is deeper in map meny turtles, where you get from them like 55g and 150exp and allways butcher it per kill, so you can max lvl very fast. About hp regen, there is pathfinder talent tree that gives you passive regen, but if you rich enaugh you just can buy meny potions in alchemy store for mana and hp.

It's.... really hard to level up? i'm lvl 4 but I'm stuck with a single rusty sword and when you get new armor. It's not? Well it's not armor!? It's cosmetic clothing and all the wolves in the game hit like a truck. Gathering is also very, very slow and resources are very limited. Healing is by bon fire and eating food. Game play is okayish? But seriously every enemy is built like an Australian brick shithouse. Sturdy, as... FUCK!!
Slow... just way to slow. Feel like you are running in drying concrete, combat is a slog fest. Running around gathering resources takes about 60% of game time. Not rewarding enough. I give it a C. Lots of room for improvement, but has potential.
Why is everyone comparing the style to all kind of games that don't even look remotely the same, (WoW, Torchlight, Albion, LoL), but noone mentions Dota 2??
No passive health and mana regen by default is a pretty large L. They need to address that. Way too much downtime in this game. Or you have to carry bags of 100s of meat and vegetables for HP and MP.
90 minutes in and I've never played through a worse tutorial. It's so bad it's going to scare players away. Worst new player experience I've ever seen in an MMO, and that is a feat in itself
Looks boring. Top down view is a very poor choice. So is the archetype toons instead of fully customizable appearance.
Vrising/Albion Online... This type of game has already been done many times before, and honestly, better. I don't see the hype tbh.
I know that feel. Sitting and thinking about gameplay because its intriguing...I havent felt this way for a long time and most of it is because of the horrible monitization of MMOs.
It looks amazing and very well polished. Please dont make it another child game that wants to rush all levels like a bot
I really like the idea of health and mana regeneration being tied to items, frustrating for solo play yes, but if the game is balanced around a larger player base you it's easy to imagine the items being acquired more commonly, by some dedicated players, and a lot of sharing, trading and group based around this level of resource management. If that's the intention behind this, it has the opportunity for an excellent pay off that other MMOs are lacking.
Ember's Adrift did something similar with their bonfires, over time you'll generate fatigue which limits your maximum hp and stamina, and from time to time you'll have to visit an ember fire to recover it. I've had a lot of fun just socialising, finding groups, or just hanging out around an ember fire, and as a mostly solo player (I play with some IRL friends) this was a great way to be somewhat involved with the larger game population without feeling too much pressure.
Not on Steam, bummer. Looks like a UNITY ENGINE game. (trash)

I can really imagine these video's to be really helpfull for any game development studio. Good in depth and a great first impression of this game. Looks very nice, especially for an alpha!
takes like 10 minutes to craft 60 bread which lasts for hours and hours of combat - so the food is not that bad as you make it sound :) Also you can visit the town for a free campfire.
No direction is exactly what the developers want you to, just like Albion online, not sure if you played it.

Are classes gender locked at all?
I disagree with "mob levels" and mob density. Having a world with low level areas just means those areas eventually become dead. Learn where the dangerous areas are, avoid them. Its not hard.
This game is a cool idea in theory but it doesnt work in reality. No1 wants to sit for 5 min at a campfire for 5 min to regain health after every encounter. This is gonna be a flop. It is just too slow.
Isnt corepunk made for 3 man squads? I thought they introduced it that way.. maybe thats why there are almost only pack of mobs instead of single mobs..
The first fight would have went better if you were kiting. You have more move speed than those mobs and you're ranged so it shouldn't have been too hard.
Eh, if you run into problems with combat, the first thing would be to try to figure out how to fight more effectively. I haven't played it, so I can't tell how much there is to improving how you fight.
The world is massive and due to how scarce resources/mobs are it just feels empty. They need to increase spawns by like 50000% lol.

Love this game, idk why for me reminds me of my old Ragnarok online, you need to party up to level-up or farming. Unless you are very strong with lots of potions to throw
Looks like a mobile game… imagine forcing your players to stop having fun after every combat encounter with a rat so they can get enough health back to kill another rat… why do game devs still think this shit is a good idea?

@@IlRe720 what about it being 20 yrs old invalidates its gameplay. Classic wow is still popular and you have to eat/drink between pulls when leveling or drink in dungeons. But continue on yappinator

at night campfires, work stations and NPC's go to bed :)
my only criticism with expanded skill trees is that people will find a way to optimize builds and then you will see most of those builds running around like in most arpgs. So if the devs are going to diversify skills just make sure that their is viable min-max for all builds

The only annoyances that I had while playing were: error 403 disconnects and losing progress, finding quests NPC and getting back to them, getting stuck on a high ground(like fences), health/mana regen issues.
Overall, THE GAME IS GLORIOUS AND LOOKS PROMISING!!!
They gotta clean up that early gameplay loop. People will attrition out quickly, especially younger end users. It looked very uninteresting.
I'm sure it is not at all indicative of group play or later levels, but who will make it to that part if the early gameplay loop is daunting.

Sadly, the slooow exploring through a mostly empty uninteresting landscape hasn't changed one iota from the last test. All they have to do is put more crafting components on the map (while making the recipes require more components) and speed up the walking or give you a periodic Sprint like FFXIV does (or provide easy to make sprint potions that can be used outside of combat). It would feel so much better if they just changed those two things. I do see some kind of speed mechanic being popped at 21:17, (and it's only 5 seconds long) but it's not on the hotbar so not sure what it actually is.
yeah sitting at a campfire to regen health for minutes after you fight one rat...that's not compelling or challenging in anyway it's just monotonous
This game definitely has potential, but I have to say, I was pretty dissappointed. I don't mind a game being hard, especially in the beginning. Like you taking alot of damage, not dealing much damage and having to choose your fights. That's just a part of the grind and getting stronger. But having ZERO hp/mp regen and not being able to eat food (which most of them have low regen) in combat, just makes the game unnecessarily slow and feels like a huge time waste. That combined with the super slow running speed and always gotta find resources.
There is a way to regen hp in combat, but that requires you to craft painkillers with pretty rare ingredients.
If the game is too hard to solo, they are going to have a hard time keeping a large playerbase. I agree with your criticism of the pace of the game. If they're going to make the maps mostly empty, at least give me the periodic ability to sprint like FFXIV does, or litter the landscape with gatherables (while increasing the components required for recipes) so that it's not so boring walking around mostly empty areas.

There needs to be a game that more or less forces you to party up as you adventure out into the world.
FF11 was alot like this, and so player coop was an important part of the game.
The no health regen also looks fun, sick of games having pointless health potions and foods.
I like the dangerous combat and need to regenerate health and mana. Makes you need other people in an MMO if you want to speed things up. As it should be.
