To me, loonatics unleashed isn’t the worst thing to come out in the franchise. It has some cool ideas and the animation is good and is fairly watchable. But in the end, it’s just a forgettable show.
I actually watched the show in back in September just to see how bad it really was, and I personally didn’t think it was that bad. I mean, I get why people don’t like the show, but I admire WB for having the balls to change things up with Looney Tunes.
I feel like the Loonatics would feel right at home as characters on Deviantart fanart. Not as a TV show. I was a baby when the show started broadcasting. I wonder how it would work if it was rebooted as a DC comic or manga.
reminds me of the numerous alternate universe sonic comic and concepts you'd see there. interesting ideas just not something that seems well thought out or something that the company would really allow to happen officially
Loonatics Unleashed wasn’t as bad as people make it out to be. I remembered I used to love this show when I was a pre-teen. Nowadays, I think this show was harmless. I don’t get why people hated this show that WB was too embarrassed about it since years later they got away with Teen Titans Go.
I have a soft spot for this show. It's not great, but it had some fun ideas. I wish they'd put more of a focus on the characters using Looney antics to foil supervillains. That could have worked.
That's pretty much the only way I could get onboard with the Looney Tunes as superheroes. Villain causing trouble? Drop an anvil on him! Bad guy chasing you? Oops, you both walked off a cliff and he looks down. Freakazoid showed that cartoon antics and superheroes can work together.
You're not alone. I liked it when I was younger and rewatching when I was older, but both of those times were long ago. I'm not sure if I'd retain those same feelings if I rewatched it as the person I am now, but I'm not in a hurry to find out.
Make an animated movie in the same animation as 'The Bad Guys' and make it SLIGHTLY funnier, and you have an instant hit with audiences of all ages on your hands, I guarantee it

It has nonsensical edgy world building, pretentious attempts to appeal to its "demographics", and no understanding of the material it's trying to match. Sorry to say it but you've been duped son. Hell, a better and closer equivalent to what they wanted is Tiny Toon Adventures. Tiny Toons had the kind of energy you'd get out of an anime at the time than Loonatics Unleashed.

At best, it has an "edgy" aesthetic, with the animation style, and the designs of the main characters and some of the original villains, but beyond that, it's fairly tame, aimed at children, and often veers into comedy. And while I would hardly call it an underappreciated gem, it certainly is clunky and very derivative of other shows, it was certainly a much more interesting watch for me than some other more modern adaptations of the Looney Tunes, like the Looney Tunes Show, which I just found drab. Unfortunately, Loonatics is similar to Scrappy Doo, having reached "memetic infamy" and many people either feel pressured to exaggerate its faults or just parrot pop culture osmosis.
I would honestly be terrified to see how Chuck Jones would've reacted if he lived long enough to see this happen. It's almost as if they conceived this after Jones' passing in 2002, which is kind of gross.
Plus, this isn't the 1st time we saw a different variation of the Looney Tunes. There was Duck Dodgers and Baby Looney Tunes that somewhat came out before and after Chuck Jones' death.

I think that Loonatics Unleashed is underrated and was misunderstood. I probably think that it totally deserves another chance........same with Space Jam 2: A New Legacy when I think about it, but I'm sure that's going to be a different kind of video he might talk about someday in the Future. Maybe.
I'm glad you finally got to this show. At least someone won't just complain about why Lexi is a sex symbol when it comes to talking about her character. Because yes while she was very popular at the time. There's no need to get that attracted to the pink bunny. You know who you are. I actually enjoyed Lexi's character because she could be girly and kickbutt at the same time without being annoying.
I watched the entire series to prepare for the review, and I’m surprised how similar it was to other shows at the time. Especially Teen Titans, Samurai Jack, and even Sonic X. This series is definitely NOT better than the sum of its parts. But I really liked the Road Runner character. He’s voiced by Rob Paulsen, and he’s pretty much Yakko Warner if he started advertising for Micro Machines.
Honestly, I'm in the camp that didn't mind the first season. Season 2 was what killed it for me. I actually blame the saccharine, safely-played BABY Looney Tunes for the hiatus and current condition of the franchise today. We could have had something to rival the Muppet Babies in quality and nostalgic value, except, just a little more violent to a family-friendly degree, but, no. The furthest we got to absurdity on the show was that they were as articulate as their mainstream adult counterparts. Bottom line, I like Season 1 of Loonatics Unleashed.
I remember watching this as a Saturday morning cartoon and my dad who grew up with old Looney Tunes walked in and stared at the TV in disbelief and said to me "Is that Bugs Bunny?! What have they done?!" and he was genuinely shocked and sad.
I’ve never watched it, but I mean it looks…. Alright. Not THAT bad but certainly not the best thing in the world. Either way, Homestar Runner hit the satire square on the head, so whenever I think about Loonatics I can only think of Xeriouxly Forxe.
Wow, I remember watching Loonatics Unleashed on Kids’ WB back around 2006-2007, and I found out that’s it’s a darker Looney Tunes animated series flipping out the wacky cartoon humor, unlike the earlier Looney Tunes animated series and classic cartoons.
A superhero Looney Tunes show can work, but it has to be like comedy slapstick like the original Looney Tunes and not over the top edge or be super serious. Me and Brother are the minority who enjoy the show as kids, it's one of those things that are a guilty pleasure.
To think they didn' make a comeback In Loony Tunes World Of Mayhem outside of bein' roasted both the Animainacs reboot and even Teen Titans Go! Still even if they *ever* make a comeback they be like TTGO by now or at least that Battletoads reboot. Season 3 could've gotten not just The Warner Siblings but also the Tiny Toons as well.
The most confusing thing about this whole mess, for me, was Warner Bros did work on shows before and during Loonatics that were superhero shows. There's Batman TAS, Superman, Batman Beyond, Static Shock, Teen Titans, and Justice League/Justice League Unlimited. I can understand Loonatics failing if it was their first attempt at something like this, but how do you fail so bad when your company was making all the great ones I just named? And it's not even a "oh we wanted a darker tone" issue. A few of those either had a darker tone, or had episodes that were darker than the norm like Static Shock. So how did this fail, considering they already knew what worked by this point?
The Loonatics' costumes all look like dollar store Batman Beyond costumes. I have no idea why they thought it would be a good idea for them to all have nearly identical costumes.
I personally don't hate loonatics unleashed, but I do admit it's different. I command the showrunners for trying something with the Beloved Looney Tunes❤ however, its execution was very difficult to say the least.

I actually remember really liking this show and didn't really notice the change between seasons but i did like season 2 more dude to having more Loony Tunes characters as villains. I really don't get the hate for it or Shaggy and Scooby-Doo get a Clue that's a fun show too
Here are my two takes on this show: 1. If it came out today people would absolutely love it. My reasoning for this is that there aren’t many action cartoons anymore and people want more. At the time Loonatics Unleashed was just one of many action cartoons airing. 2. This show is basically Teen Titans Go except in reverse. TTG took an action franchise and turned it into a straight comedy. People hated it and complained about it, but instead of listening to those people the show stayed its course and even made fun of those people. Teen Titans Go is now one of Cartoon Networks/Warner Bros most successful cartoons.
Personally while I do get why a lot of people dislike the show and do agree it has flaws, I also feel like it's one of the most overhated shows in my opinion. Its fine to dislike and criticize it but calling it the worse thing to happen to The Looney Tunes is a bit much when A New Legacy exists, I'd rather watch Loonatics then one of the most soulless film I've seen thats just one big advert
To be Honest, I kinda like how they portrayed Pepe Le Pew in the Loonatics-Verse. Turning him into a Skunk to a Fully-Fledged Human using Smelly Perfume.
I actually liked the new take of lunatics. It was unique and a fresh idea. I am glad they went back in and polished their mistakes. (Yikes) but i did have a good time. Even if some episodes were sluggish there was unique takes. From the powers and weapons, to how a looney tune cast could be used in a superhero show. I’ll take this over the looney tunes show finally, bugs as Superman. Plus I’m glad this show got both seasons on dvd. More than I could say for other other WB lineups.

I find it ironic given how Back In Action nearly was supposed to start with a Batman parody mocking the idea of an edgy Looney Tunes. Which, in itself was a disastrous project in terms of behind-the-scenes. Just something fascinating how a film that went through hell and back was trying to call out Warner Brothers executives and yet it didn’t work.
I get it they rather never do a loonatics ever again, but been used to tell others "what not to do" is like if you dropped collage and now your entire family used you as a reason why Anyone who's younger should not do it
So whats funny me is all the ingredients were there to be one of my favorite cartoons i actually like the art style BUT then they used loony tunes characters... its like making a big bowl of cereal then instead of milk they use your favorite steak suace it just ruins everything
It was ok. It was diferent enough to not bother me, We put soo much weight in the Looney Tunes brand that making something from his time, I'm not going to hold them againts them. The idea isn't bad, I think the excecution is what trully give it the infamous reputation
The show is ultimately fine, but it could have been so much better. Make the Loonatics a bunch of crazed screw ups fighting against some dumbass villains. Give it a Powerpuff Girls or Danny Phantom vibe, it could be great.
Parents at the time probably grew up with Looney Tunes chopped down for Saturday morning TV in the 70s, hence perceiving it as more kid-friendly than it actually was.
Whatever what people thinks of the show, I do vibe hard with the main cast desing. Even if I only watched commercials and the first half of an episode of season 2 as a kid. Same thing for Scooby Doo Get a Clue (specifically the Scooby mech... I was a mech fan since I'm a kid)
Something worth noting - apparently, part of the reason why this exists is because "Looney Tunes Back In Action" flopped at the box office (mainly because it was poorly advertised and released up against stuff like "Elf" and "The Cat in the Hat") and Warner Bros. came to the conclusion that it flopped because people didn't like the Looney Tunes anymore. They thought this was the solution.
I did like this show. my favorite is danger duck his quatum quack, power orbs and aqua dense are great powers. daffy duck being my favorite looney tune probably helps.
Loonatics was my childhood show I rewatched it constantly from age 4-10 I only had access to season 1 for all that time and had only seen s2 once. I recall vividly beliving ace died in the finale of s2 and only found out he survived a couple weeks ago when I finally rewatched it.
I always thought it could've been better. This had the Tremblay brothers behind the scenes who created Swat Kats, an all-star voice cast and guest stars (Rob Paulsen as Rev, Kevin Michael Richardson as Tech & Slam, Mark Hamill and Vivica A. Fox guest starred once, and more!), and aired on KidsWB during Saturday mornings. When "gritty", I rarely saw a lot of scenes that would've been considered mature. When "comedic", most jokes and dialogue weren't entertaining. The plot tends to resolve and work itself out really fast without a lot of build-up (I always thought Pinkster's betrayal was out of the blue to give a surprising twist and gave up the chance to develop Danger Duck's character by already forgetting it in the next episode). Although some villains reappeared, none really made an impact with the protagonists in the long run. Bottom line, it wasn't the "worst" series ever but could've been better.

I live in an non english-speaking country. Here Looney tunes characters are very popular, but the name"Looney tunes" itself is unknown. We just call these cartoons "Bugs bunny cartoons", "Tweety and Sylvester", etc. When Loonatics first aired on TV here, it took me time to understand that those characters where supposed to be looney tunes characters. The series kept the name "Loonatics" but as you might expect in my language this name does not refer to anything known. I've been unable to recognize the bugs bunny, daffy duck and taz loonatics. It's only when I saw vile E coyote that I went "wtf is going is this the actual Coyote from Roadrunner ? Why is he dressed as a super hero ?". I was a kid back then and I didn't saw the first episode of Loonatics, so i've been unable to understand that those characters where supposed to be the super hero descendants of Bugs Bunny and co.
I'd honestly like it to come back, not as a full show, but as something like a series of shorts for the WB Kids TH-cam Channel or something. But it shouldn't take itself seriously at all. Make it a parody of today's Superhero nonsense. I imagine the catalyst for the plot is that Daffy sees how profitable modern Superhero movies and shows are, and ropes everyone in to reboot the Loonatics, with the only reason the heads at WB even doing so is to get him to shut up because he's been pestering them for like 4 years straight about it.

I recall when i tried watching the show a few years after i discovered TH-cam around that time and it had gone off the air, I don't think i had the same enjoyment. And it was kind of just eh, or there for me as something that i remember that happend. i haven't had a chance to go back and see the full series start to finish yet. but i'm sure there's a few parts in there that are decent that I might enjoy and can find enjoyment from or something.
I have a... complicated relationship with this show. I remember seeing episodes of this on TV when I was a kid and ended up liking it enough, though nowhere near as much as other action cartoons that were airing then like Teen Titans or Ben 10. Then I ended up watching it again years later as a teenager and just absolutely hating it. At that point, I was a bit more well-versed with Looney Tunes stuff, and found out more what the general consensus of this show was at the time, so this just stuck out like a sore thumb in comparison to both what had already come AND what was currently airing then. Nowadays tho, I kinda love it... ironically, that is. It's just such a weird idea for a Looney Tunes spinoff, and part of me likes that they tried something different with it, even if it wasn't executed very well. Like, it's far from my favorite Looney Tunes series (that would be either The Looney Tunes Show or the 2000s Duck Dodgers cartoon) but it's still kinda enjoyable in that "so bad, it's good" kind of way, kinda like the original Space Jam.
This is one of those examples of media where the main issue is basing it off of an established franchise known for comedy. If they used new characters, it would've had a chance.

The worst think about this show that all of the villains where just minor one-shot villains. The show completly lucked with at least one major villain.
The creators of Loonatics Unleashed previously created Swat Kats, and I’d always wondered if Loonatics was their way of continuing Swat Kats spiritually. That doesn’t mean it was successful or even a good idea.

Bugs's descendant was originally going to be named Buzz Bunny, but then they learned that another company was using this name for...how should I put this...an adults-only toy. There was also another guy that had created a rabbit character named Buzz Bunny that threatened to sue, so WB just renamed their character.
I think I'm one of the only few people that actually think it's pretty good. It's definitely not as good as something like the Looney Tunes Show or the classic Looney Tunes but it's definitely not as bad as a lot of people make it out to be even if some of the hate is deserved.

I'm glad you finally got to this show. At least someone won't just complain about why Lexi is a sex symbol when it comes to talking about her character. Because yes while she was very popular at the time. There's no need to get that attracted to the pink bunny. You know who you are. I actually enjoyed Lexi's character because she could be girly and kickbutt at the same time without being annoying.
I didn’t even know people got “attached” to her in that way. Wow!
That's probably _why_ she was popular in _that_ way, the Furries wanted a normal cool and pretty badass girl just like the rest of us.
I watched the entire series to prepare for the review, and I’m surprised how similar it was to other shows at the time. Especially Teen Titans, Samurai Jack, and even Sonic X.
This series is definitely NOT better than the sum of its parts. But I really liked the Road Runner character. He’s voiced by Rob Paulsen, and he’s pretty much Yakko Warner if he started advertising for Micro Machines.
Honestly, I'm in the camp that didn't mind the first season. Season 2 was what killed it for me. I actually blame the saccharine, safely-played BABY Looney Tunes for the hiatus and current condition of the franchise today. We could have had something to rival the Muppet Babies in quality and nostalgic value, except, just a little more violent to a family-friendly degree, but, no. The furthest we got to absurdity on the show was that they were as articulate as their mainstream adult counterparts. Bottom line, I like Season 1 of Loonatics Unleashed.
I remember watching this as a Saturday morning cartoon and my dad who grew up with old Looney Tunes walked in and stared at the TV in disbelief and said to me "Is that Bugs Bunny?! What have they done?!" and he was genuinely shocked and sad.
I’ve never watched it, but I mean it looks…. Alright. Not THAT bad but certainly not the best thing in the world. Either way, Homestar Runner hit the satire square on the head, so whenever I think about Loonatics I can only think of Xeriouxly Forxe.
Wow, I remember watching Loonatics Unleashed on Kids’ WB back around 2006-2007, and I found out that’s it’s a darker Looney Tunes animated series flipping out the wacky cartoon humor, unlike the earlier Looney Tunes animated series and classic cartoons.
A superhero Looney Tunes show can work, but it has to be like comedy slapstick like the original Looney Tunes and not over the top edge or be super serious. Me and Brother are the minority who enjoy the show as kids, it's one of those things that are a guilty pleasure.
Say what you will, but I think this show is a very underrated gem, and love it!

To think they didn' make a comeback In Loony Tunes World Of Mayhem outside of bein' roasted both the Animainacs reboot and even Teen Titans Go! Still even if they *ever* make a comeback they be like TTGO by now or at least that Battletoads reboot. Season 3 could've gotten not just The Warner Siblings but also the Tiny Toons as well.
The most confusing thing about this whole mess, for me, was Warner Bros did work on shows before and during Loonatics that were superhero shows. There's Batman TAS, Superman, Batman Beyond, Static Shock, Teen Titans, and Justice League/Justice League Unlimited. I can understand Loonatics failing if it was their first attempt at something like this, but how do you fail so bad when your company was making all the great ones I just named?
And it's not even a "oh we wanted a darker tone" issue. A few of those either had a darker tone, or had episodes that were darker than the norm like Static Shock. So how did this fail, considering they already knew what worked by this point?
The Loonatics' costumes all look like dollar store Batman Beyond costumes. I have no idea why they thought it would be a good idea for them to all have nearly identical costumes.
I personally don't hate loonatics unleashed, but I do admit it's different. I command the showrunners for trying something with the Beloved Looney Tunes❤ however, its execution was very difficult to say the least.

I remembered a Newgrounds animated short called “A New Bunny” that featured the prototype design of Ace Bunny. He was coked up and everything.
I actually remember really liking this show and didn't really notice the change between seasons but i did like season 2 more dude to having more Loony Tunes characters as villains.
I really don't get the hate for it or Shaggy and Scooby-Doo get a Clue that's a fun show too

Here are my two takes on this show:
1. If it came out today people would absolutely love it. My reasoning for this is that there aren’t many action cartoons anymore and people want more. At the time Loonatics Unleashed was just one of many action cartoons airing.
2. This show is basically Teen Titans Go except in reverse. TTG took an action franchise and turned it into a straight comedy. People hated it and complained about it, but instead of listening to those people the show stayed its course and even made fun of those people. Teen Titans Go is now one of Cartoon Networks/Warner Bros most successful cartoons.
Personally while I do get why a lot of people dislike the show and do agree it has flaws, I also feel like it's one of the most overhated shows in my opinion. Its fine to dislike and criticize it but calling it the worse thing to happen to The Looney Tunes is a bit much when A New Legacy exists, I'd rather watch Loonatics then one of the most soulless film I've seen thats just one big advert
To be Honest, I kinda like how they portrayed Pepe Le Pew in the Loonatics-Verse. Turning him into a Skunk to a Fully-Fledged Human using Smelly Perfume.

I actually liked the new take of lunatics. It was unique and a fresh idea. I am glad they went back in and polished their mistakes. (Yikes) but i did have a good time. Even if some episodes were sluggish there was unique takes. From the powers and weapons, to how a looney tune cast could be used in a superhero show. I’ll take this over the looney tunes show finally, bugs as Superman. Plus I’m glad this show got both seasons on dvd. More than I could say for other other WB lineups.

I find it ironic given how Back In Action nearly was supposed to start with a Batman parody mocking the idea of an edgy Looney Tunes. Which, in itself was a disastrous project in terms of behind-the-scenes. Just something fascinating how a film that went through hell and back was trying to call out Warner Brothers executives and yet it didn’t work.

I get it they rather never do a loonatics ever again, but been used to tell others "what not to do" is like if you dropped collage and now your entire family used you as a reason why Anyone who's younger should not do it
So whats funny me is all the ingredients were there to be one of my favorite cartoons i actually like the art style BUT then they used loony tunes characters... its like making a big bowl of cereal then instead of milk they use your favorite steak suace it just ruins everything

The show is ultimately fine, but it could have been so much better. Make the Loonatics a bunch of crazed screw ups fighting against some dumbass villains. Give it a Powerpuff Girls or Danny Phantom vibe, it could be great.
Parents at the time probably grew up with Looney Tunes chopped down for Saturday morning TV in the 70s, hence perceiving it as more kid-friendly than it actually was.
They set this up to fail, and then get shocked when it fails. Such is the assery of Warner Brothers.

Whatever what people thinks of the show, I do vibe hard with the main cast desing. Even if I only watched commercials and the first half of an episode of season 2 as a kid.
Same thing for Scooby Doo Get a Clue (specifically the Scooby mech... I was a mech fan since I'm a kid)
Something worth noting - apparently, part of the reason why this exists is because "Looney Tunes Back In Action" flopped at the box office (mainly because it was poorly advertised and released up against stuff like "Elf" and "The Cat in the Hat") and Warner Bros. came to the conclusion that it flopped because people didn't like the Looney Tunes anymore.
They thought this was the solution.
All I can say about this show is that it was made on the Planet Nudnik.
I did like this show. my favorite is danger duck his quatum quack, power orbs and aqua dense are great powers. daffy duck being my favorite looney tune probably helps.
Loonatics was my childhood show I rewatched it constantly from age 4-10 I only had access to season 1 for all that time and had only seen s2 once. I recall vividly beliving ace died in the finale of s2 and only found out he survived a couple weeks ago when I finally rewatched it.
I always thought it could've been better. This had the Tremblay brothers behind the scenes who created Swat Kats, an all-star voice cast and guest stars (Rob Paulsen as Rev, Kevin Michael Richardson as Tech & Slam, Mark Hamill and Vivica A. Fox guest starred once, and more!), and aired on KidsWB during Saturday mornings. When "gritty", I rarely saw a lot of scenes that would've been considered mature. When "comedic", most jokes and dialogue weren't entertaining. The plot tends to resolve and work itself out really fast without a lot of build-up (I always thought Pinkster's betrayal was out of the blue to give a surprising twist and gave up the chance to develop Danger Duck's character by already forgetting it in the next episode). Although some villains reappeared, none really made an impact with the protagonists in the long run. Bottom line, it wasn't the "worst" series ever but could've been better.
As a 90s kid, i thought all these kinds of show were totally cool.

I understand the hate for Loonatics Unleashed, It's trying to be a dark and edgy show with an anime influence and I completely understand how a fan Looney Tunes would hate it, but in my opinion I really like the show and It's really overhated.

This is my favourite Looney Tunes Show.
I live in an non english-speaking country. Here Looney tunes characters are very popular, but the name"Looney tunes" itself is unknown. We just call these cartoons "Bugs bunny cartoons", "Tweety and Sylvester", etc.
When Loonatics first aired on TV here, it took me time to understand that those characters where supposed to be looney tunes characters. The series kept the name "Loonatics" but as you might expect in my language this name does not refer to anything known. I've been unable to recognize the bugs bunny, daffy duck and taz loonatics. It's only when I saw vile E coyote that I went "wtf is going is this the actual Coyote from Roadrunner ? Why is he dressed as a super hero ?". I was a kid back then and I didn't saw the first episode of Loonatics, so i've been unable to understand that those characters where supposed to be the super hero descendants of Bugs Bunny and co.
I grew up in the US and knew the things you didn't, and it still didn't make any sense.

I'd honestly like it to come back, not as a full show, but as something like a series of shorts for the WB Kids TH-cam Channel or something. But it shouldn't take itself seriously at all. Make it a parody of today's Superhero nonsense.
I imagine the catalyst for the plot is that Daffy sees how profitable modern Superhero movies and shows are, and ropes everyone in to reboot the Loonatics, with the only reason the heads at WB even doing so is to get him to shut up because he's been pestering them for like 4 years straight about it.

i didn't get a chance to see the whole series as it aired, but i recall kind of liking what i did see. I'd prefer Classic Looney Toons over this without a doubt.
i think i just liked the art style and design that was a little different from what I knew them for. But i guess an issue for me was, I didn't really remember much of the show after watching it in the Kids WB line up. and i guess i just liked it becasue it was part of the KidsWB line up so I guess i liked some of it by proxy or something. I recall when i tried watching the show a few years after i discovered TH-cam around that time and it had gone off the air, I don't think i had the same enjoyment. And it was kind of just eh, or there for me as something that i remember that happend.
i haven't had a chance to go back and see the full series start to finish yet.
but i'm sure there's a few parts in there that are decent that I might enjoy and can find enjoyment from or something.
I have a... complicated relationship with this show. I remember seeing episodes of this on TV when I was a kid and ended up liking it enough, though nowhere near as much as other action cartoons that were airing then like Teen Titans or Ben 10.
Then I ended up watching it again years later as a teenager and just absolutely hating it. At that point, I was a bit more well-versed with Looney Tunes stuff, and found out more what the general consensus of this show was at the time, so this just stuck out like a sore thumb in comparison to both what had already come AND what was currently airing then.
Nowadays tho, I kinda love it... ironically, that is. It's just such a weird idea for a Looney Tunes spinoff, and part of me likes that they tried something different with it, even if it wasn't executed very well. Like, it's far from my favorite Looney Tunes series (that would be either The Looney Tunes Show or the 2000s Duck Dodgers cartoon) but it's still kinda enjoyable in that "so bad, it's good" kind of way, kinda like the original Space Jam.

This is one of those examples of media where the main issue is basing it off of an established franchise known for comedy. If they used new characters, it would've had a chance.

The creators of Loonatics Unleashed previously created Swat Kats, and I’d always wondered if Loonatics was their way of continuing Swat Kats spiritually. That doesn’t mean it was successful or even a good idea.
I think if it had done that, it would have turned out a lot better and maybe even more successfully.

I actually enjoyed this show. It may be inferior to the classic cartoons, but it's a fun show with great action.

Bugs's descendant was originally going to be named Buzz Bunny, but then they learned that another company was using this name for...how should I put this...an adults-only toy. There was also another guy that had created a rabbit character named Buzz Bunny that threatened to sue, so WB just renamed their character.

I think I'm one of the only few people that actually think it's pretty good. It's definitely not as good as something like the Looney Tunes Show or the classic Looney Tunes but it's definitely not as bad as a lot of people make it out to be even if some of the hate is deserved.
