It's also worth to mention that during WW2 Konig was bombed to the ground so after it was rebuilt it started to look more like a typical eastern block city rather than old german historical site.
Please don't be sad about it. In those days, the destruction of cities to the ground was the norm in order to capture it and clear it of partisans. And Nazi Germany in the East did not shy away from this at all. Warsaw, Novgorod, Stalingrad were practically destroyed, hundreds of villages were put together with the population. Greetings from Kaliningrad. I have been living in this city since birth (but I am not a native, my parents moved here from Kazakhstan). I think Kaliningrad is one of the best cities in Russia, if not the best. Most of the houses are relatively new, a beautiful view of the embankment (especially in the area of the Fish Village), many museums dedicated to the history of Germany and a large museum of the World Ocean (a new complex "Planet Ocean", in the form of a huge glass ball, has been under construction for several years. They promise to build it by 2024, but this is not accurate.). And the climate here is very good. It's not too hot in summer, it's not too cold in winter. Due to the proximity to the sea, humidity is quite high, so dry winds rarely blow. I love Kaliningrad, and I don't want to move anywhere. And I am very sad to read the comments of people calling for the return to Germany, Poland or Lithuania of their "legitimate" territories...
No need to be sad, the referendum of 28.9.2022 turned out great. Královec is already in good Czech hands. You don't have to worry. Together we will manage everything and restore the legacy of Přemysl Otakar II. Construction of the beer pipeline will start as soon as possible, mutual coordination has already been agreed with Poland. All Czech naval forces (boaters, fishermen, ferrymen, canoeists and kayakers) are already responsibly preparing to seize any Russian ships that do not vacate ports in the annexed Královec region by 10.10.2022. Remember that the police no longer accept Rubles, but only Euros and Czech crowns. Make Královec great again. 🇨🇿 PS: I remind you, if you know anyone in your area who has not already done so, that all the local population should go to the nearest office as soon as possible so that they can have their Russian documents exchanged for Czech ones.

Such an act had a bad effect on Russian society, which is why it became one of the reasons for his overthrow and murder.
Funny, I didn't know that he could talk to his wife in German because she was from Germany too. But Peter comes from the German part of the Romanov family and that's why he came to the throne. Peter withdrew because he was impressed by the Prussian king as a person. The Prussian played the flute, composed and was always surrounded by philosophers and artists. Peter couldn't do much damage because he was murdered with his wife's acquiescence. She probably forestalled him because he wanted to marry someone else, but could only get a divorce through death. She then put herself on the throne and after her death Russia was bigger and stronger than before. This foreigner has done Russia good. Princes and princesses know no nationality. They defend the power of the throne they get.
Slight correction, but St Petersberg was named after the Apostle St Peter, not Peter the Great. For anyone wondering why a Russian city has a Germanic name, it's cos apparently Peter the Great was really into German culture.
You got mixed up with the Friedrichs. All are not from Prussia, but from Brandenburg, the area around Berlin. It begins with the Lord Friedrich Wilhelm. The first two pictures are the same person, but with different titles and names. On the first he is a Lord, on the second a King. You made a mistake: you mentioned how east Prussia was only part of Russia after ww2 because of the naval base. That's wrong.
