    I have been on a ketogenic diet for over a year now. In my 60's. I can not begin to adequately convey what this diet has done for me. Prior to the diet I was overweight, insulin intolerant despite my daily exercises throughout my entire life for over 30 years. Forgetful in small things, like where did I put those keys? Kind of forgetfulness. With keeping true to my diet, cutting all carbohydrates with exception of leafy greens, cabbages and healthy fats with intermittent fasting and OMAD has turned everything around. If I forget something simple, It lasts less than a second of closing my eyes and the image of the key and its location flashes in the front of my mind, its incredible -like photographic memory. This is what turning my diet has done for me personally and wonder what this next year holds. I could never go back to my Mediterranean diet which has never been effective for me. I am so glad more research is being done on diet and cognitive decline.

    Two FANTASTIC human beings. It's so nice to hear an intelligent conversation like this-on any subject! Most everything you watch or listen to here in the USA is plagued with mediocrity. Thank you for this post. BTY, if anyone with curiosity is willing to look at the mevalonate pathway, also known as the isoprenoid pathway or HMG-CoA reductase pathway, and see what is blocked, they'd never take nor advise statins.

    Bravo, gentlemen! I am following you both online, and have a great local fucntional medicine doctor here in St. Paul, MN, and she is trained in the Bredesen Protocol. You both actual care about healing. I'll never buy insurance anymore due to our poor medical model that seems resistant to change.

    Thanks for the useful information. There seems to be conflicting reports about MCT. Have heard of some people recovering from Alzheimer's with coconut oil, a MCT, although doctors suggest that the fat content outweigh the benefits.

    MCTs make me wired. I had popcorn made with coconut oil and I felt like I’d taken a stimulant. My appetite was suppressed, i was anxious and I couldn’t sleep.

      @@kenyasing I think I already am. I've been depressed and eating only junk to be happy. That must make me toxic with inflammatory response. I know that my mind needs to be fixed. I was diagnosed with Alzheimer's or Dissociative Disorder with Aricept and Namzaric as prescriptions.

      Your popcorn likely has additives already in it

    How old is this video? The reversal numbers are higher as of April 2018.

      How much higher? What experience do you have with this Cheryl?

      I also thought both the number of patients was higher and the reversal no was higher.

    • @higherresolution4490
      @higherresolution4490 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yes, the reversal numbers were 200 at the time the book went to print. I'd imagine they've risen significantly since then-double or triple considering Dr. Bredesen's office is open for patients in 29 Palms, California.

    For me, a lay person, Dr. Bredesen is talking gibberish. I would appreciate a slower pace including definitions of terms.

    It would be nice if Mark would let Dr. Bredesen speak without interrupting him constantly. I couldn’t finish this video. So annoying.
