Same for me man, always just weight trained after HS but recently added hill sprints once or twice a week and it’s developed my body in ways weight lifting simply can’t replicate, at least for me. The overall core stability and strength gains from have it have honestly been kind of unreal…feel stronger than I ever have after 3 months of regular hill sprints along with weight lifting 1-3 times a week. As long as do sprints once and one day of weights each week, I get stronger. The hill sprints have improved my heart and lung strength so much…crazy bang for ur buck, so many benefits from a 30 minute session, efficient training, imo. Plus sprinting makes me feel like a kid again, I love it.
Been doing 70 yard dashes twice a week, 8 sprints per workout, roughly 2 minutes rest in between. It's been about 1 month and I haven't seen any weight loss, but my speed and form has improved. I'm 62 and not doing it for speed, but it's nice to see that I can improve. I am a bit frustrated that I haven't shed any weight yet. I need to lose my gut, along with about 20 lbs. of fat, so I hope that will be coming soon. And yes, my diet is clean, so I don't know why the fat isn't coming off. Also doing resistance training 2x a week.
Just add some walking so your cardio is sprinting and walkin and strength train by weightlifting and dont rush the result and dont start running at mid pace it burns muscle and stimulate hunger
high intensity taps in carbs, lower intensity [jogging/walking zone 2] taps into fat. Do lower intensity more, and HIIT once-twice per week. 80/20 rule. Look it up.
I was the slow (overweight) kid and used to be embarrassed competing sprints/didn’t try. Wish I could go back to that girl and tell her at 32 years old her body will respond well to training and she will be fast (fast compared to me). I push the sled and run several times a week.
Ive always been the fast kid on school, but i havent been sprinting since then

How's it going now that it's been about 8 or 9 months since your original comment? 🙂
Well weight loss come down to being in a calorie deficit.
I still play soccer at 48 and I need to get this back into my workout routine besides already doing it during soccer games. I need to be faster.
Same question.. shoes
I like the last reason
💯 Facts
Last reason 🤝
Ido 8 sets of 30second sprint intervals, rest 30 and repeat.
Twice a week.
Is that good enough, or do I need to change it up?
Thank you for your video.
Make the rest between sets to 90 sec it would be better and yeah doing twice a week is great
