- In this studio vlog i start preparing and making all my orders from the website launch which ends up being around 85! i create XL scrunchies, my signature style wide elastic scrunchies, a bunch of hair bows, face masks and stickers. I bought the cheaper of the two Singers when I realised the extra money was just for 10 stitches.
Vista print is pretty disappointing lately. I'm also finding the site crashes easily when I'm trying to design or reorder. Consider printing your thankyou cards as photos at officeworks or similar. It may be cheaper than Vista's postcards.K

I can certainly understand about sewing machines, I have a few. I use them for different sewing jobs. I use Toyota machines. Wouldn’t be without my Toyota Oekaki, it’s my best friend. My daughter has borrowed my Toyota jeans heavy duty machine (under supervision), but I wouldn’t let anyone touch my Oekaki machine. You have certainly grown in your business this last year, working very hard. Xxx
I love your scrunchies. I have seen on XXLScrunchies she has a great organizing system. This will save you lots of time in the long run. Even if you can sort your scrunchies into certain colors like pinks with pinks, green with greens, etc. Then you can grab a scrunchie and pack at one time. It will save you time. I know you have a large area but it is still limited. You are doing am awesome job. I love the new fabric you just bought.

I have been sewing for about 8 years…I am amazed at how well you work & how organized you are! Very impressive! I think as your business continues to grow, you need a better method of tracking your product in stock. This will save you a lot of time! So happy your business is doing well & some of your lockdown is ending. During the beginning phases of the pandemic I was sewing 12 hours a day & it was exhausting!! Keep up the excellent work!

How do you fold your fabrics? Are they folded on cardboard? They look so neat on the shelves!
A bit of advice. If your email has promotions section check there for your shipping confirmation. I had the same problem you did where I didn’t get a notification that the vista print order shipped in my primary email. Then when I looked in the promotions tab it was in there.

Love to watch your videos. If you look at Walmart or other stores in the kitchen department you will find some rubber matting in a roll, it looks like open weave,,,put that underneath your sewing machine so it won't move on your table. :o)
What is happening with Vistaprint, is actually happening elsewhere as well. Paper prices are going up because of a shortage of wood and paper. Cardboard prices were going up for a while already as well, and now paper is short in supply :(

Vistaprint was weak on sales last time I ordered from them too! I was also surprised because they always used to have a ton of sales and I didn't even think about how the "add 500 business cards for __" didn't pop up. I thought maybe it was just a bad week that I ordered from them but that was a few months ago. Oof
News here in states reported there is a paper shortage, may have effect on vista print order

@@TaylahRose Took me some time too. Especially because - when I started sewing - I didn't attempt to insert zippers or sew thicker fabrics... Learning curve! :P
You said you don't want to have the Singer serviced. If you can afford to have the machine serviced I would recommend doing it. I bought a used machine and after service the seams were cleaned and the machine less noisy. But that is your decision. I understand giving the machine away is hard and it is an investment... I thought about it long and hard as well :)

Thank you! I’ve always used burrito for the XL scrunchies because it does work better for so much fabric ☺️ I trialed the burrito and my OG method for my regular scrunchies and decided to go with my original method for personal preference and I liked the style more 🥰
The seam at the end would be too g and stiff done the other way. The burrito looks like it is easier with wider scrunchies.

No I didn’t! I was really unsure what I would do ☺️
