Reach out to CJM directly about it. He's a great guy and I'm sure he can come up with some sort of solution. Since he's a one-man operation he can do whatever he wants as long as it makes sense for him to do it. Tell him Jake sent you!
i know this was a while ago but im looking at the same clutch. Are you still happy with it? Still holding up for you? Appreciate it and enjoyed the video!
Great question! The car is still stage 2 (IE now) and the clutch has held up really well. We pulled a 4,500 pound trailer to Florida without any issues (th-cam.com/video/5J6pec1Wg0I/w-d-xo.html) and the car is at 205,000 miles now on that same clutch. The pedal feel is closer to stock than a stage 2 southbend as well. On an all-in launch the clutch does slip a little bit (that could be because of all the abuse we have put it through or it could just be at its limit on the stage 2 tune) but other than that it is solid. For the price it's a great buy and if you don't plan on going beyond stage 2 I think you'll be fine. Feel free to ask if you have any other questions, happy to help!
@@P3Gauges thank you for the reply! Thats great. I have a gti and was looking at their kit with the heavier single mass flywheel which allegedly has less chatter. I prob will never be stage 2. Intake, catted dp, exhaust and a mild tune for spirited driving.
@@Sipsahoy yes, get the flywheel too (we did) the dual mass flywheels can fail. You won’t be disappointed, it’s a great clutch ESPECIALLY when you figure in the cost savings.
@ appreciate it. Ecs getting banged up on the forums but I used them countless times for my vr6 Passat and never had any issues. Now to find someone on longisland (New York) to install it. I had 2 level spinal fusion so turning wrenches ain’t happening for me anymore, atleast on a job like this.
@@Sipsahoy Yeah they definitely get a hard way to go in some places but they're a great dealer for us and have always taken great care of us. I've got a couple solid friends over there. Back problems are no joke! I hope you are healed up well!
Dear Jake, 1. You are definitely under qualified to work on this fine German automobile while sporting a Ford/Lincoln tech shift. You reaffirmed my decision by ham fisting the bumper back on. No painters tape or microfibers anywhere to be found. Shame you on! 2. You know you have a good friend that almost lost his hand by dropping a transmission on it? Now technically it was because the trans slipped off the jack and maybe in your head you're thinking "well Im not using a trans jack so that cant happen". Either way I expect more from you. No more shenanigan's, you hear me? 3. Keep up the good work. Have a safe trip.
Derek, I am fully aware of my shortcomings here. I usually give this car the “white glove” treatment but due to the rush that all went out the window. I don’t think you’d be surprised to hear that your name came up while we watched the footage of me putting the trans back in, haha. It had to be done and it went alright (this time) although I am a lot more of a wuss than I thought. As always, thanks for your input. We’ll have the “roast of Derek” episode soon enough😂
Thanks Guys!
Great product and great customer support go a long way. Thanks for both! Maybe we’ll see footage of you pushing heavy things around soon, haha
I’ll for sure be grabbing one for my mk6
@@TateChmielewski You will not be disappointed.
Jake the Technician!
I was getting rusty so I figured I’d get out there and “practice”
“Key is to not drop on your face” .... Noted😂😂 !
Great video guys!!👍🏼
It’s a step many people overlook… thanks man.
The splitter is dope it's just a shame he doesn't make it for the MK6 with a FMIC.

Loving the shirt.
Thanks man, it’s a classic
Mine didnt come with brake fluid
Strange, I would check the packing slip to see if it was on there. If so, you should be able to contact them and get your fluid.
@@P3Gauges didnt realize this was an r i got mine for the gti but the clutch kit has the same stuff minus the brake fluid
