I feel it would add to the importance of moves played even if you didn't ephasize it verbaly. I think this would benefit the analysis, especially in the classical time format. Greetings from Zagreb!
Antonio, perhaps consider making a series of chess openings explained. Clearly many other chess channels have done this, but no one else gives the background that you do when it comes to history. It would be very interesting to see the development of chess over time, brought to us by THE chess channel.
This whole game is about the open h file...at 6:25 hxg6 was careless from Hikaru, he should have played h6 to prevent Ng5 & close the h file.. And Caruana doesn't gain anything by capturing gxf7+ The king will simply recapture Kxf7 and the game would continue
For some reason I was not surprised to see Caruana using pretty much all of his time to remind himself with the computer line of the opening and that settling for a draw in time trouble.
It is. I paused the video at the same time and hunted for this comment. I think it was just a mistake by white to not force that position, but I didn't analyze too many variations.

13:22, what if white queen takes black rock on d5, if the bishop takes the queen then rock to h3? Is there an escape from checkmate here?
Hi Agadmator, thank you for the excellent reviews. At 8:50 if Bishop moves to E6 then Rook H8 is check mate.
no its not king takes knight on f7
King x Knight
True, even rook to F3 does not mate the king as he escapes to E7
