The biggest Act 2 cheese I know of is that the door to the Verge of Shadows/Shadowfell in the Gauntlet can be opened with Knock. So you can grab Yurgir's stone to activate the elevator and then knock the door open, no trials needed.
yeah when I saw that I was all "SON OF A BIIIIIIII..." cuz I had the honeye'd paw bear bitch-slapping weapons out of mobs for a bit and never even thought to try to get the sword using the bear!
2:30 Should add this: Casting "Sanctuary" on the child is a great idea. Even without Calm Emotions, it will allow you to keep him alive through the fight, since Harpy can't do anything to him - No area of effect attacks.

Infinite Gold Glitch: If you have a Druid transform into an animal while in your party, you can sell the gear they have equipped to a vendor without it leaving your inventory. This can be done with a hireling from withers if you don’t want a Druid in your main party. Vendors gold also resets after level ups (including Withers respecs) and long rests (including partial rests)
If you start the self same trial as a naked Shadowheart with everyone else standing in the hallway, the solitary clone will also be naked and weaponless. Just equip your gear and wail on them for an easy fight.
Hey, you can do a vendor trick thats even cooler if you are down with the extra gouda. Here's what you do: 1. Talk to a vendor and start a trade 2. While trade screen is open, find an empty bag in your trade inventory and open it. 3. Highlight all the things you want making sure the very last thing is inexpensive 4. Drag items into the open bag inventory. You will purchase everything for the price of the last item highlighted. Which means you can manipulate the last item by selling a skull to the vendor first. For whatever reason skulls always end up lower than useful items in the vendor's inventory. 2 caviats to this trick. 1: you must have enough gold to purchase the most expensive item highlighted, not that you will but you have to have the gold to do so. 2: you have to have the carry capacity to hold all the items chosen. If you do not, you run the risk of disappearing items entirely. So make sure you have enough carry weight open. The way I see this trick is this. There is an IN GAME mechanic that lets you get all the items you want for free, its called pick pocketing. I'm simply slight of handing the economy itself.
Lots of Shar's gauntlet cheese: You can use a potion of fly down from the gap in the stairs where you first see Nessa to the area with the door to the Shadowfell, and cast Knock on that door to skip collecting Umbral Gems. (From my non-exhaustive testing, if Shadowheart is in the party, the door will be locked with Arcane Lock and you will have to get at least 3 orbs). For the self-same trial, if one of your characters' opposites has Counterspell, stand at range and cast a spell at them. The opponent will counterspell but not enter combat. Then you can attack them from range as much as you like and combat won't start. You also won't get any penalty for attacking an opposite other than your own. For the faith-leap trial, if you stand on the right side in front of the chasm and then click on the corner of the platform with the Umbral Gem that's closest to you, you will walk through the whole trial without falling. You can also enter the trial and reload to camp and come back to make the platforms visible. For the sneaky beaky trial you can drink an invis pot and run through the whole thing.
You can get the scroll of knock and helm of arcane acuity from the mason's guild without triggering combat with the shadows. For the knock scroll: sneak up to the shadows' line of sight to trigger the perception check. Then cast fog cloud covering the path from you to the button, and walk in + press the button. For the helm: turn invisible, walk up next to the chest on the right side. There is a small spot where the shadows won't see you. If you fail to disarm the trap or fail the perception check for the trap, you can still open the chest and combat won't start unless you fail the saving throw on the trap. The trap says it casts guiding bolt but really it's a dex save.

yeah but if they accuse you of pick-pocketing, if you wanna try to bribe them, that's one very expensive bribe (or it was for me cuz I put all the scrolls special gear in the bag which made it super expensive -and heavy so I couldn't get my rogue far enough away in time)
I have an act 1 one all my act 2 ones have been taken this is how to get Boooal's benediction WITHOUT sacrificing a party member, and no you can't just use a hireling seperate your group so that your pickpocket character is away from the Kuoh'Toa Have another character likely the party face or wyll trigger the cutscene and select the option "Investigation: Get your bearings what have you stumbled in on." this will lead to a DC 15 Intellgence check The cutscene will continue to play this is where you have your pickpocket character use a potion of invisibility (You can get quite a few from act 1 I find roah moonglow in the goblin camp a good source of these) then pickpocket the character Pooldrip the zealous and take the sickle of Booooalll from the character should you take the item have your pickpocket character move far away from the conversation Swap back to your character in conversation new dialouge options will display you should select "Wait if it's blood you want I can make another offer!" this will prompt more dialouge options the one you want to pick is "Persuasion: I have but one life but I can kill many others in your name" DC:20 this would usually lead to you getting the sickle of booooalll but since you already stole that You get BOOOAL's benediction for every character in the area

Owlbear addition: *Avoid the fight even easier and without any skillcheck:* Just go into the owlbear nest from the entrance above the cave -- that is in the forest and a crevice in the wall. You need a means to reduce your size to approx. Gnome size to enter there -- for example that shapeshifter mask. Just enter and a fight begins -- but no sweat, just leave threw the same crevice again. Than long rest and the owlbear is dead.
Another owlbear trick: chromatic orb ice. They can jump over a skyscraper but they still slip on ice... Once they are prone you can just crit them down...
The silver sword took me 10-20 reloads or so, even with 95% attack chance, because of the saving throw of Voss. Great to see, that there is a different possibility -- even when it is cheesy, but no glitch. Have to try this on a normal run.

Yep, but during this one opportunity to get the sword, Voss is not considered an enemy and Portent Die will not trigger to change his saving throw. That's what makes the Honeyed Paws method special.
I did see one person have trouble with the bandits in the ruins where you find withers. I come from the undead side by lighting both candles at the door, kill the guard, upset the room next door, take my level 2 rogue character and sneak shoot them and run back in the undead side, blowing out a candle and waiting inside the doorway for them to scramble. Since there's no path to you, most of them just walk in a circle or skip their turns. No resources used, all the bandits dead, and doable with anyone good with a bow/sneak attack bow almost straight from the ship. Locking doors in general is one of my favorite tricks in act 1 also, as most enemies can't break down doors in it. (Note: the gith in the creche CAN knock down doors)
For the bandits I usually kill the guys outside by splitting the party and sneaking the rogue and range characters behind the halfling on the box (behind the pillars so you're not inside the ruins area... closer to where you free Laezel), send the rest around and down to trigger the cutscene and select attack in the dialogue, the fight starts with the two guys who were arguing close enough so targeting the rope that holds that big ass stone so it falls and kills them right off the bat, then I switch to the stealthy rogue, backstab the halfling to get him into combat, if the backstab didn't kill the halfling out right, I push him off his soap box and that usually kills him. I get the range characters in position and attack the mage from out of combat which gives advantage on the attacks, increasing crit chances... she never survives past round 2. If you have a bard, you can impersonate their leader's voice at the locked door, the guard lets you in, which will trigger a fight so be prepared... if your initiative is strong enough he won't get off an attack, get your melee's in range and your rangers should jump down the stairs to block his path (he once ran and opened the door to the rest of his crew on me). Loot the room after killing him for .. junk and food mostly (but 1gp per item is still 100gp with 100 items) For the last of the bandits, I go into stealth and ungroup my party, putting them on either side of the door, use one person to activate the lever and quickly move them back to the corner so they don't get seen. use a range attack to start to take out the mobs from stealth. Only the people seen will be in combat, so after you attack, sneak a non combat person up to the switch and close the door, causing everyone inside to waste their turn.. rinse and repeat until they're dead. (don't destroy the barrels if you want to do barrel-mancy on the tons of goblins at their party)
I have more shopkeeper cheese for you! It's glitchier, but it doesn't require you to ever kill the shopkeeper in order to just take everything you want, for free! 1. Do the same trick you did with putting their inventory into a container in the Barter menu. 2. Ungroup at least one party member from your group. 3. Talk to the vendor with a member of either group 4. While in the shop menu, select a member from the OTHER group, to pull up their inventory 5. With that party member selected, double click the container in the shopkeeper's menu 6. Exit the shop menu 7. The container inventory should be open, while the shopping menu will be closed. Click "Take All" That last step is the fiddliest bit. Sometimes it only opens for a second before quickly closing itself, so you may have to try it multiple times. It will work eventually, until they patch it of course! You now have the ability to rob every merchant in the game, at no risk to them or yourself!
Hahah nice. But yeah, they just announced a new patch coming soon, and I have a feeling some of this stuff may be disappearing. But you never know, some glitches have long legs . .
They tried to fix this with today's hotfix, and for a second I thought they did, but they accidentally just made it easier. They made it so if you double click a bag while in the shop, even if it's someone in a separate group, it will open the bag. But... the Take All button is still on the bag, and if you click it, it just takes everything, without having to buy it. So now you don't have to deal with it sometimes instantly closing the bag like you did before. It just works better now!
Act 2, I hear that in Moonlight Towers, when you save the prisoners inside, there are clubs next to the boat they escape in. They will auto equip when you put them in your inventory, but not just *your* inventory. When you open the pickpocket menu for a character, you can put one of these clubs in your target's inventory. It will take the place of their main hand weapon, and put their actual weapon in their bag, which you can immediately attempt to steal. This is also good for cheesing some fights. I haven't confirmed this. For vendors that you will avoid killing, pay them money until you get the bar in their trade menu in the green. The lower your level, the less you have to pay. Do this using a character who has feign death. You can now put that vendor to sleep with feign death and not aggro anyone. That vendor will not react if you try to steal from him, but any onlookers might, so obscure the area when you try to pickpocket them.
Just got the sword with the method you show us in the video. Honor-Mode will be much more easy with that. Thanks! Btw: I had the problem that one of the troops was facing to the spot shown in the video. Just use the one side of the cliff. Also: If u sneak with your mage you dont even get infight. U can use the bear to slowly push the sword near the edge, your mage sneaks to it and loots it and can get away. After that u just let the bear die. Super good!
I'm very glad it worked for you; when I first started reading your comment, I was afraid you were going to say you lost your Honor run hahah. And yeah, I experimented with a bunch of different ways of doing it, which -could- be simpler or better, but they involved more details and timing requirements, while the method I showed always works with a fairly simple description (assuming you can kill off the gith that are now guarding the sword). So that's what I went with for the video. Thanks again.
As of the game patched through April 2024, you can use two backpacks to take vendor items through the Barter screen. Sell the vendor one of the backpacks, open it, and load it up with at least two items (gold can be one of the items). Then open the backpack you still have in your inventory. Select all the items in the vendor’s back pack and drag them to the tab at the top of your backpack window-note this it the tab shape at the top of the window with the little backpack icon and NOT the interior of the window. Aim for the icon. This will transfer all items to your backpack without triggering any attitude changes or other trouble. I’m guessing they will patch or hot fix this out eventually, but for now it’s working. FYI, I only do this to vendors I don’t like, so Arron, Dammon, Talli, etc. are safe from my thieving ways lol 😸
The only act 2 cheese I can think of right now is using knock on the door that Balthazaar hides behind when you first enter that part of the gauntlet. I just start the conversation with my wizard then once the battle starts, unlock the door with knock but don't open it, drink an invis potion and wait a round for more justiciars to spawn. Then open the door and magic missile flesh to make them all enemies so you get xp when they die, and then go invis again and watch the fireworks lol

In the Temple of Shar, you can fight Yurgir and their cronies from that jumping ledge on the right side of the room, where the wolves patrol. If you start combat with all of your party up on that ledge, the enemies never try to encircle you; instead, they just stand there skipping turns until one of them gets the idea of coming into the choke (at which point, you'll have all of your cheese spells ready to drop on their heads and pick them off one by one--Yurgir included). If you're a bit impatient, you can send a spiritual weapon over there to force them to engage and bait them into the opening.
Love this miniseries~ Cant wait for act 2. May need that cheese for handling the Z'rell fight. As for a tip in act 2 ive noticed. The buffs you get from the mini shar shrine neat where you end up fighting that shadow boy. Save those for the Ketheric fight I guess?
Poor Z'rell gets taken out while she's all alone in her room, trying to get some paperwork done. Those Shar shrine buffs can be useful in a few ways, including using the Charisma buff to make you more convincing, if you want to try talking the Thorm siblings to death.
I watched this to see if you added the easier way to cheese the Ethel fight. If you sneak Gale (or some other lv3 and up wizard) past the cooking pot that hides the back room with the stairs leading into Ethel's secret lair, they can cast Arcane Lock on it. When Ethel tries to retreat after one round of combat, she fidgets helplessly with the lock until you kill her. If the red caps are already dead, then there's no danger at all while you beat her down. Once she's down you can release the lock and set Mayrina and the other captives free. When you do this, one of the halflings who had a mask on will be in the hag survivors group in act 3.
I approached the Ethel fight from the perspective of wanting the +1 stat hair, so I avoided any tricks that don't get that reward. That said, I wish I'd put more about Ethel (and other stuff) into that video. Upcoming Act 2 video is much more detailed.
Honestly I feel like Ethel is so easy it doesn’t even need cheese. 1. The game shows you where she teleports 2. Certain conditions persist 3. Psionic backlash makes the clones useless Only hard part is if/when she transforms to mayrina.
You can do the sack trick without killing the vendor by dragging it to a character portfolio other than the one talking then double click the bag. Doing this then leaving the trading menue alows you to loot the bag from in their inventory. This is not patched as of February 14th 2024.
@@gumballz.9259 Tis true. This trick save my multiple times in my 2x enemies honor mode run. It also just feels good to bankrupt ethel before stealing her scalp.🙃
For even more vendor bag cheesing: do the sane bag stuffing, cast fog on the vendor from stealth, then beat them up in turn based mode with non-lethal toggled on and loot the bag. As long as you do it in 1 round, they will still trade later on but have a negative attitude towards you.
Another tip for the Owlbear is abuse Grease. They have a flat 10 dexterity IIRC (maybe it's 12, but, point is its very low) so they trip on it very easily. You can also spam Command with a pretty high success rate as their wisdom saves are also quite low. I've almost killed Mama bear before she had a chance to summon papa bear doing this. If you make the Absolute cultists join you, it's just not a super difficult encounter.
1. In barter mode, select all, and drag to your inventory. 2. with Tav + 1 character in party, put a bag into vendor inv, barter mode, open bag - drag all in there (including coins) - close bag, switch back to purchase mode, select your OTHER party member, double click the bag, and exit vendor. Bag will open. Combine these 2 to get all vendor items + gold. Extra tips: 1. Use 1, then GIVE the vendor back his own stuff to get favor with it. 2. Keep dragging all items from vendor to your inv and back again in barter mode, vendors and your coins will keep going up up up... then use option 2 to take all vendor coins... easily have 200k+ gold (depending how bored you are, and how expensive the items are) PROtip for last: Gold can be in your camp. you can still use it. Send all gold to camp. no weight.
Barter trick: 1) Take a character with good charisma. 2) Select 1 barter only: Take the little nutter in the Grove. 3) In barter mode, select all your useless stuff and drag it into the barter's inventory. 4) Select all the stuff in the barter inventory and drag into your inventory. Barter will all of a sudden be very rich. 5) Sell all the useless stuff you just ripped right back to him. 6) Profit! And repeatable. Give a small tip and say thank you. Tip: Only select one barter for this trick. It is a bug that also prevents fresh items to spawn in their inventory after you pulled this off. Pixie Latern from the spider guy: 1) Enter the zone from the Githyanki camp. 2) Cast drop weapon on the guy till the lantern drops. 3) Pick it up after it dropped, say thanks and kill him later. Easy Harpy fight: 1) Form a half circle in front of Shadowheart near the bushes. 2) Cast Silence on the area where you are standing, with little kid included. It will trigger the fight. 3) Kill the harpies without getting charmed. Can be done at level 3. Fun scene with your thief and Mattis in the grove: 1) First make sure your thief covered for Ide (little thiefling) in stealing the necklace from Barth in the hollow. 2) Visit Mattis with your thief or Astarion. 3) Point out the slight of hand. 4) Show the reversed slight of hand. 5) Tell Mattis that one toss doesn't prove anything. 6) Keep telling Mattis to keep tossing the coin. 7) Optional: Make sure you hit your Perception checks after it. 7) Just giggle from the end result.
Act 2 tip: in Shar's temple, just because you convinced the rats to not hurt you, and you convinced the big demon and his boys that you were gonna go look for the last justiciar, doesn't mean you have to be all peaceful... use this time of truce with the demon to get into a good strategic position (maybe use a bit of barrel-mancy if you have any left) and get in the first free shots. If he throws grenades near you, you can throw them back before they explode, which will break his invisibility. Once you've dispatched him, you can go way down and kill the rats.. and really there's no reason to not kill the final justiciar ... Also if you're fighting Balthazar in his room in the temple... make use of AOE concentration spells that hurt and the door... Hunger of Hadar + grease, and close the door makes the fight easy, if they open the door, use your melee's to push them back in (or EB with repelling), and close the door again, if they fall in the grease in one turn, their next turn is wasted on getting up and having to slowly walk toward the door.
Tbh I think the normal position they are in is the easiest way to strategically f up yurgir and co. They are in essentially a straight line, you can utilize fall damage if you want, etc.
I played with this sword to act3 and I can say its the best, and I wasnt even a gith, the reason is kagha's amulet that gives you +1-6dmg coating and it does not work with everburn blade, so get this sword as soon as you get the amulet, do not forget about the stunning blow it has, use divinition wizard to drop enemies savethrowns and stun bosses and strong opponents!
Yeah, the Everburn Blade is nice, but kinda overrated. It's why I included the section on getting the Svartlebee's Woundseeker in the first video, since it has such a powerful unique effect for early game, and you can just dip it in fire or poison
@@SlimXG dual wield torches... they do as much blunt damage as a short sword, but also cause 1d4 fire damage each (so long as they don't get wet)... plus you normally attack with both equipped weapons.. 2d6 + 2d4, not bad for intro damage.
it takes some timing and im not 100% sure if it'll work with the honeyed paws attack, but I triggered the talking cutscene as soon as i had used command drop which was successful and triggered the peaceful dialog, afterward attacked everyone for the extra exp
In 2 of my latest playthroughs on tactician, Voss only carried a crossbow. No Silver sword, couldn't pickpocket it of him either. So the only thing he dropped was the crossbow. I tried different save scums, but he always had the crossbow. So I figured they patched it somehow.
I've heard of that happening, but don't know what causes it. He still usually has the sword, but it seems if he has the crossbow, it's just stuck that way.
*Brand of the Absolute Warning/Bug:* In my current play through my Tav was branded and when the second option to get branded becomes available to the rest of the party I used space bar to skip through the dialog. NO BRAND WAS GIVEN even after I to him to do it. Had to reload and watch the cutscenes in order to get the brand.
I guess if you want to upgrade from the full cheddar still, you can just abuse the current vendor glitch with the container instead, so the vendor doesnt even have to die. For this, simply have a container of any sort on yourself and one spare to sell to the vendor. Put all the stuff you want in the container just like before. Open your container as well on the left. Select all items inside the vendors container and drag them onto the ICON of your container. (It will not work if you drag it onto the slots) Thats it. The game seems to forget to check for ownership on that function call so uh... it just transfers them all over like its a partymember. Maybe this should count as moulded cheese though.
Well here's one for act 2, I guess. The fights in the Gauntlet of Shar against dark justiciars yield more exp if you don't kill their portals prematurely. However it means facing more enemies, making the fights deadlier, particularly the one near Bathazar's door. But if you have either a really good lockpicker (its a 30 dc check IIRC so it needs to be a GOOD lockpicker) or a knock spell handy, you can open Balthazar's door, getting him involved on your side. You can gain absolute crap ton of exp and kill two birds with one stone by aggroing Balthazar and hiding (you DO need to be in the fight to gain exp though) , taking minimal ations and risk untill one of them is defeated (which one loses largely depends on how smart and lucky Balthazar is with his cloudkill) than you finish off the strugglers and boom, a ton of exp and one of the bosses taken care of.
I couldn't get the sliver sword cheese to work so i cast level 3 invisibly on gale and the bear and moved then next to the guy with the sword and used honey paws and switched to gale before he could pick it up but i got into dialogue with one of the gith but you can gove the sword to one of the other party members and then select the option to give the sword back, you wont loss the sword and then you can come back with lae'zel and get the free xp
That would rely on luck for Honeyed Paws to hit, but it does sound interesting. I'll have to take a look at that at some point. Thanks for the heads up.
You can actually steal vendor's items without killing them. It's extra cheezy of course, but hey. It works. -Get 3 backpacks -Put 1 backpack into another -Open the trade interface and sell the "double backpack" to the vendor you wish to rob -Open the double backpacks from inside the vendor's inventory and put every item you want into the INTERIOR backpack and don't close anything -Open the 3rd backpack, the one in your own inventory -Drag every item from the vendor' interior backpack onto > THE BACKPACK ICON < , not the black squares ! -Don't forget to buy back your (now empty) double backpack Vendor will not see they're being robbed, however DO NOT transfer items from the backpack right in front of them, or it will trigger the steal. Just go hide somewhere and you can empty your backpack :)
You don’t need to nest containers, and any container will work. Just open a container in the vendor’s inventory and drag items into it. Then open one of your containers and drag 2 or more items onto the big icon at the top of your container. Do Not drag into the black container squares or you’ll purchase them. Doesn’t work with just one item, and the character with the container has to be able to carry the weight of the items. The game will transfer items up to that weight limit then stop, leaving ill-gotten loot in the vendor container.
@@drunemeton Alright, I just tested and you're right, it just needs 2 backpacks to work. However, you're wrong on one point, you definitely don't need to be able to carry the items. I wasn't able to find a limit to the overcharge, it may be infinite IDK
It doesn’t work for me, for some reason I can’t choose multiple items at once I tried every combo in the game cntrl + left click , shift + left click or even right click. Idk if it’s because my keyboard is not an English keyboard but it is so annoying
@@yuicoconut When you simply click on an item with your primary mouse button it should highlight. When you click on an item with your secondary mouse button a pop up menu should appear. Is that how your UI works?

I only play on PC, so I can't really answer that, unfortunately. I have heard that things that involve dragging items into bags like that don't work on console, but I cannot personally confirm it.
Eyyy, now, the swag bag ain't cheating. I'm just convincing this soon-to-be-unfortunate-soul the value of carrying his valuables inside this convenient pouch instead of stuffed into random pockets. Keeps my loot- I mean, his goods far safer! Now, doing the nonsense with party members opening the bag we just sold and taking *that* without even killing the poor sap, now *that's* cheating. At least commit to the bit!
Yeah, you can always use Partial Rest to advance story events for free. The only difference between the two types of Long Rest is the party restoration part.
Jeera in the creche and Lann Tarv in Moonrise are two more that you're likely to kill during combat. But you can also choose to kill vendors like Lady Esther if you want.
Nice cheese! Its sometimes hard to tell where the cheese starts in this game. Like with warding bond, where is the cheese line using it with camp cast, using it with camp cast and self healing gale, using it with camp cast and dismissing hireling?
Right, exactly. I tend to avoid all that sort of stuff in my own playthroughs, and since I've seen stuff like Warding Bond tricks mentioned in lots of places, I left it out of my videos.

Putting all items in the traders inventory in bag would have never occured to me. But in a way how is looting a traders house and then selling them their own stuff any different. Nah, it's cool, I didn't take it as criticism. Just agreeing that everyone has their own personal line on that sort of thing. And so I have to pick a line when it comes to making a video vs just my own playstyle. I mean, I don't even like multiclassing hahah.
I have never had it happen to me, so I can't say for sure. But from what I have heard from others, if he spawns that way, there's nothing you can do about it to swap him to the sword. I would try to test it, but I don't know what causes him to spawn that way, and it seems to be rare. I may look into it in the future if I can find some time.

I tried the voss sword trick after patch 7. It didn't work, could it be because gale was invisible? (Both the bear and gale were invisible) or did they change something in Patch 7
Gale being invisible stops him from being able to use a Portent Die (he has to go into combat along with the bear). But I also got another comment since Patch 7 that said that Voss picked the sword back up, which would definitely be new behavior in Patch 7, if true. When you say, "it didn't work," what exactly happened?
after disarming Voss you can just take a character in invi and pick it up and then try to escape the battle/let them die and revive them with Withers later.
I'm workin' on it every day! Nearly done with the Gauntlet of Shar. The end is in sight, but will still take some more time. But I appreciate the enthusiasm!
I mean, a wisdom character can already ally with Flind and tell them to eat themselves. Trick is to keep them close to flind so they are the conversational partner when the fight ends. If all else fails, there's firewine casks in the cave next door if you're up for a bit of barrelmancy (I prefer to save these for the paladins of tyr or Minthara in the Grove battle), and you can kind of funnel them in the cave. It also invites opportunities to push enemies into the chasm. Worst thing you can do is to fight them outside, because their archers (which are the real threat) can shoot an extremely long distance if things go south.
Stand next to Flind to start the fight, choose the dialogue option to seek the source of the voice, use illithid wisdom to make flind fight the other gnolls. Stand back and attack as needed to balance the fight out. No need to roll wisdom a second time.

The biggest Act 2 cheese I know of is that the door to the Verge of Shadows/Shadowfell in the Gauntlet can be opened with Knock. So you can grab Yurgir's stone to activate the elevator and then knock the door open, no trials needed.

yeah when I saw that I was all "SON OF A BIIIIIIII..." cuz I had the honeye'd paw bear bitch-slapping weapons out of mobs for a bit and never even thought to try to get the sword using the bear!

2:30 Should add this: Casting "Sanctuary" on the child is a great idea. Even without Calm Emotions, it will allow you to keep him alive through the fight, since Harpy can't do anything to him - No area of effect attacks.

Infinite Gold Glitch: If you have a Druid transform into an animal while in your party, you can sell the gear they have equipped to a vendor without it leaving your inventory. This can be done with a hireling from withers if you don’t want a Druid in your main party. Vendors gold also resets after level ups (including Withers respecs) and long rests (including partial rests)
If you start the self same trial as a naked Shadowheart with everyone else standing in the hallway, the solitary clone will also be naked and weaponless. Just equip your gear and wail on them for an easy fight.
"Why is your Shadowheart completely naked?"
"Ehm, for gameplay reasons..."
And miss out on one of the coolest fights in the game! No way!
Hey, you can do a vendor trick thats even cooler if you are down with the extra gouda. Here's what you do:
1. Talk to a vendor and start a trade
2. While trade screen is open, find an empty bag in your trade inventory and open it.
3. Highlight all the things you want making sure the very last thing is inexpensive
4. Drag items into the open bag inventory.
You will purchase everything for the price of the last item highlighted. Which means you can manipulate the last item by selling a skull to the vendor first. For whatever reason skulls always end up lower than useful items in the vendor's inventory. 2 caviats to this trick. 1: you must have enough gold to purchase the most expensive item highlighted, not that you will but you have to have the gold to do so. 2: you have to have the carry capacity to hold all the items chosen. If you do not, you run the risk of disappearing items entirely. So make sure you have enough carry weight open.
The way I see this trick is this. There is an IN GAME mechanic that lets you get all the items you want for free, its called pick pocketing. I'm simply slight of handing the economy itself.

Lots of Shar's gauntlet cheese:
You can use a potion of fly down from the gap in the stairs where you first see Nessa to the area with the door to the Shadowfell, and cast Knock on that door to skip collecting Umbral Gems. (From my non-exhaustive testing, if Shadowheart is in the party, the door will be locked with Arcane Lock and you will have to get at least 3 orbs).
For the self-same trial, if one of your characters' opposites has Counterspell, stand at range and cast a spell at them. The opponent will counterspell but not enter combat. Then you can attack them from range as much as you like and combat won't start. You also won't get any penalty for attacking an opposite other than your own.
For the faith-leap trial, if you stand on the right side in front of the chasm and then click on the corner of the platform with the Umbral Gem that's closest to you, you will walk through the whole trial without falling. You can also enter the trial and reload to camp and come back to make the platforms visible.
For the sneaky beaky trial you can drink an invis pot and run through the whole thing.
You can get the scroll of knock and helm of arcane acuity from the mason's guild without triggering combat with the shadows.
For the knock scroll: sneak up to the shadows' line of sight to trigger the perception check. Then cast fog cloud covering the path from you to the button, and walk in + press the button.
For the helm: turn invisible, walk up next to the chest on the right side. There is a small spot where the shadows won't see you. If you fail to disarm the trap or fail the perception check for the trap, you can still open the chest and combat won't start unless you fail the saving throw on the trap. The trap says it casts guiding bolt but really it's a dex save.

I did a bit of save scrumming, but some of these tips are next level. I love it.
I have an act 1 one all my act 2 ones have been taken this is how to get Boooal's benediction WITHOUT sacrificing a party member, and no you can't just use a hireling
seperate your group so that your pickpocket character is away from the Kuoh'Toa
Have another character likely the party face or wyll trigger the cutscene and select the option "Investigation: Get your bearings what have you stumbled in on." this will lead to a DC 15 Intellgence check
The cutscene will continue to play this is where you have your pickpocket character use a potion of invisibility (You can get quite a few from act 1 I find roah moonglow in the goblin camp a good source of these) then pickpocket the character Pooldrip the zealous and take the sickle of Booooalll from the character should you take the item have your pickpocket character move far away from the conversation
Swap back to your character in conversation new dialouge options will display you should select "Wait if it's blood you want I can make another offer!" this will prompt more dialouge options the one you want to pick is "Persuasion: I have but one life but I can kill many others in your name" DC:20 this would usually lead to you getting the sickle of booooalll but since you already stole that You get BOOOAL's benediction for every character in the area

*Avoid the fight even easier and without any skillcheck:*
Just go into the owlbear nest from the entrance above the cave -- that is in the forest and a crevice in the wall. You need a means to reduce your size to approx. Gnome size to enter there -- for example that shapeshifter mask. Just enter and a fight begins -- but no sweat, just leave threw the same crevice again. Than long rest and the owlbear is dead.
Another owlbear trick: chromatic orb ice. They can jump over a skyscraper but they still slip on ice... Once they are prone you can just crit them down...
Or play as gloomstalker and ignore all game mechanics☠️😂

The silver sword took me 10-20 reloads or so, even with 95% attack chance, because of the saving throw of Voss.

Yep, but during this one opportunity to get the sword, Voss is not considered an enemy and Portent Die will not trigger to change his saving throw. That's what makes the Honeyed Paws method special.

I did see one person have trouble with the bandits in the ruins where you find withers. I come from the undead side by lighting both candles at the door, kill the guard, upset the room next door, take my level 2 rogue character and sneak shoot them and run back in the undead side, blowing out a candle and waiting inside the doorway for them to scramble. Since there's no path to you, most of them just walk in a circle or skip their turns. No resources used, all the bandits dead, and doable with anyone good with a bow/sneak attack bow almost straight from the ship. Locking doors in general is one of my favorite tricks in act 1 also, as most enemies can't break down doors in it. (Note: the gith in the creche CAN knock down doors)
For the bandits I usually kill the guys outside by splitting the party and sneaking the rogue and range characters behind the halfling on the box (behind the pillars so you're not inside the ruins area... closer to where you free Laezel), send the rest around and down to trigger the cutscene and select attack in the dialogue, the fight starts with the two guys who were arguing close enough so targeting the rope that holds that big ass stone so it falls and kills them right off the bat, then I switch to the stealthy rogue, backstab the halfling to get him into combat, if the backstab didn't kill the halfling out right, I push him off his soap box and that usually kills him. I get the range characters in position and attack the mage from out of combat which gives advantage on the attacks, increasing crit chances... she never survives past round 2.
If you have a bard, you can impersonate their leader's voice at the locked door, the guard lets you in, which will trigger a fight so be prepared... if your initiative is strong enough he won't get off an attack, get your melee's in range and your rangers should jump down the stairs to block his path (he once ran and opened the door to the rest of his crew on me).
Loot the room after killing him for .. junk and food mostly (but 1gp per item is still 100gp with 100 items)
For the last of the bandits, I go into stealth and ungroup my party, putting them on either side of the door, use one person to activate the lever and quickly move them back to the corner so they don't get seen. use a range attack to start to take out the mobs from stealth. Only the people seen will be in combat, so after you attack, sneak a non combat person up to the switch and close the door, causing everyone inside to waste their turn.. rinse and repeat until they're dead. (don't destroy the barrels if you want to do barrel-mancy on the tons of goblins at their party)
I have more shopkeeper cheese for you! It's glitchier, but it doesn't require you to ever kill the shopkeeper in order to just take everything you want, for free!
1. Do the same trick you did with putting their inventory into a container in the Barter menu.
2. Ungroup at least one party member from your group.
3. Talk to the vendor with a member of either group
4. While in the shop menu, select a member from the OTHER group, to pull up their inventory
5. With that party member selected, double click the container in the shopkeeper's menu
6. Exit the shop menu
7. The container inventory should be open, while the shopping menu will be closed. Click "Take All"
That last step is the fiddliest bit. Sometimes it only opens for a second before quickly closing itself, so you may have to try it multiple times. It will work eventually, until they patch it of course! You now have the ability to rob every merchant in the game, at no risk to them or yourself!
Hahah nice. But yeah, they just announced a new patch coming soon, and I have a feeling some of this stuff may be disappearing. But you never know, some glitches have long legs . .
I just tested if this still works in patch 6, and it does! Go nuts
They tried to fix this with today's hotfix, and for a second I thought they did, but they accidentally just made it easier. They made it so if you double click a bag while in the shop, even if it's someone in a separate group, it will open the bag. But... the Take All button is still on the bag, and if you click it, it just takes everything, without having to buy it. So now you don't have to deal with it sometimes instantly closing the bag like you did before. It just works better now!

Act 2, I hear that in Moonlight Towers, when you save the prisoners inside, there are clubs next to the boat they escape in. They will auto equip when you put them in your inventory, but not just *your* inventory. When you open the pickpocket menu for a character, you can put one of these clubs in your target's inventory. It will take the place of their main hand weapon, and put their actual weapon in their bag, which you can immediately attempt to steal. This is also good for cheesing some fights. I haven't confirmed this.
For vendors that you will avoid killing, pay them money until you get the bar in their trade menu in the green. The lower your level, the less you have to pay. Do this using a character who has feign death. You can now put that vendor to sleep with feign death and not aggro anyone. That vendor will not react if you try to steal from him, but any onlookers might, so obscure the area when you try to pickpocket them.
For anyone reading this tip it’s been Hot Fixed out. 😢

Btw: I had the problem that one of the troops was facing to the spot shown in the video. Just use the one side of the cliff. Also: If u sneak with your mage you dont even get infight. U can use the bear to slowly push the sword near the edge, your mage sneaks to it and loots it and can get away. After that u just let the bear die. Super good!
I'm very glad it worked for you; when I first started reading your comment, I was afraid you were going to say you lost your Honor run hahah. And yeah, I experimented with a bunch of different ways of doing it, which -could- be simpler or better, but they involved more details and timing requirements, while the method I showed always works with a fairly simple description (assuming you can kill off the gith that are now guarding the sword). So that's what I went with for the video. Thanks again.
As of the game patched through April 2024, you can use two backpacks to take vendor items through the Barter screen. Sell the vendor one of the backpacks, open it, and load it up with at least two items (gold can be one of the items). Then open the backpack you still have in your inventory. Select all the items in the vendor’s back pack and drag them to the tab at the top of your backpack window-note this it the tab shape at the top of the window with the little backpack icon and NOT the interior of the window. Aim for the icon. This will transfer all items to your backpack without triggering any attitude changes or other trouble. I’m guessing they will patch or hot fix this out eventually, but for now it’s working. FYI, I only do this to vendors I don’t like, so Arron, Dammon, Talli, etc. are safe from my thieving ways lol 😸
You can use any container, not just backpacks. I’m fond of the Fish Bucket.

The only act 2 cheese I can think of right now is using knock on the door that Balthazaar hides behind when you first enter that part of the gauntlet. I just start the conversation with my wizard then once the battle starts, unlock the door with knock but don't open it, drink an invis potion and wait a round for more justiciars to spawn. Then open the door and magic missile flesh to make them all enemies so you get xp when they die, and then go invis again and watch the fireworks lol
You don't even need to knock. Given all the slight of hand/dexterity gear you can find, a Rogue/Ranger should be able to clear a dc30 easy.

act 2 is basically pure cheese with a good charisma character. almost every boss can be convinced to off themselves
In the Temple of Shar, you can fight Yurgir and their cronies from that jumping ledge on the right side of the room, where the wolves patrol. If you start combat with all of your party up on that ledge, the enemies never try to encircle you; instead, they just stand there skipping turns until one of them gets the idea of coming into the choke (at which point, you'll have all of your cheese spells ready to drop on their heads and pick them off one by one--Yurgir included). If you're a bit impatient, you can send a spiritual weapon over there to force them to engage and bait them into the opening.
Love this miniseries~ Cant wait for act 2. May need that cheese for handling the Z'rell fight.
As for a tip in act 2 ive noticed. The buffs you get from the mini shar shrine neat where you end up fighting that shadow boy. Save those for the Ketheric fight I guess?
Poor Z'rell gets taken out while she's all alone in her room, trying to get some paperwork done.
Those Shar shrine buffs can be useful in a few ways, including using the Charisma buff to make you more convincing, if you want to try talking the Thorm siblings to death.
I watched this to see if you added the easier way to cheese the Ethel fight. If you sneak Gale (or some other lv3 and up wizard) past the cooking pot that hides the back room with the stairs leading into Ethel's secret lair, they can cast Arcane Lock on it. When Ethel tries to retreat after one round of combat, she fidgets helplessly with the lock until you kill her. If the red caps are already dead, then there's no danger at all while you beat her down. Once she's down you can release the lock and set Mayrina and the other captives free. When you do this, one of the halflings who had a mask on will be in the hag survivors group in act 3.
I approached the Ethel fight from the perspective of wanting the +1 stat hair, so I avoided any tricks that don't get that reward. That said, I wish I'd put more about Ethel (and other stuff) into that video. Upcoming Act 2 video is much more detailed.
Honestly I feel like Ethel is so easy it doesn’t even need cheese.
1. The game shows you where she teleports

3. Psionic backlash makes the clones useless
Only hard part is if/when she transforms to mayrina.
You can do the sack trick without killing the vendor by dragging it to a character portfolio other than the one talking then double click the bag. Doing this then leaving the trading menue alows you to loot the bag from in their inventory. This is not patched as of February 14th 2024.

For even more vendor bag cheesing: do the sane bag stuffing, cast fog on the vendor from stealth, then beat them up in turn based mode with non-lethal toggled on and loot the bag. As long as you do it in 1 round, they will still trade later on but have a negative attitude towards you.

Another tip for the Owlbear is abuse Grease. They have a flat 10 dexterity IIRC (maybe it's 12, but, point is its very low) so they trip on it very easily. You can also spam Command with a pretty high success rate as their wisdom saves are also quite low.
I've almost killed Mama bear before she had a chance to summon papa bear doing this. If you make the Absolute cultists join you, it's just not a super difficult encounter.
1. In barter mode, select all, and drag to your inventory.
2. with Tav + 1 character in party, put a bag into vendor inv, barter mode, open bag - drag all in there (including coins) - close bag, switch back to purchase mode, select your OTHER party member, double click the bag, and exit vendor. Bag will open.
Combine these 2 to get all vendor items + gold.
Extra tips:
1. Use 1, then GIVE the vendor back his own stuff to get favor with it.
2. Keep dragging all items from vendor to your inv and back again in barter mode, vendors and your coins will keep going up up up... then use option 2 to take all vendor coins... easily have 200k+ gold (depending how bored you are, and how expensive the items are)
PROtip for last:
Gold can be in your camp. you can still use it. Send all gold to camp. no weight.
Barter trick:
1) Take a character with good charisma.
2) Select 1 barter only: Take the little nutter in the Grove.
3) In barter mode, select all your useless stuff and drag it into the barter's inventory.
4) Select all the stuff in the barter inventory and drag into your inventory. Barter will all of a sudden be very rich.
5) Sell all the useless stuff you just ripped right back to him.
6) Profit! And repeatable. Give a small tip and say thank you.
Tip: Only select one barter for this trick. It is a bug that also prevents fresh items to spawn in their inventory after you pulled this off.
Pixie Latern from the spider guy:
1) Enter the zone from the Githyanki camp.
2) Cast drop weapon on the guy till the lantern drops.
3) Pick it up after it dropped, say thanks and kill him later.
Easy Harpy fight:
1) Form a half circle in front of Shadowheart near the bushes.
2) Cast Silence on the area where you are standing, with little kid included. It will trigger the fight.
3) Kill the harpies without getting charmed. Can be done at level 3.
Fun scene with your thief and Mattis in the grove:
1) First make sure your thief covered for Ide (little thiefling) in stealing the necklace from Barth in the hollow.
2) Visit Mattis with your thief or Astarion.
3) Point out the slight of hand.
4) Show the reversed slight of hand.
5) Tell Mattis that one toss doesn't prove anything.
6) Keep telling Mattis to keep tossing the coin.
7) Optional: Make sure you hit your Perception checks after it.
7) Just giggle from the end result.
Act 2 tip: in Shar's temple, just because you convinced the rats to not hurt you, and you convinced the big demon and his boys that you were gonna go look for the last justiciar, doesn't mean you have to be all peaceful... use this time of truce with the demon to get into a good strategic position (maybe use a bit of barrel-mancy if you have any left) and get in the first free shots. If he throws grenades near you, you can throw them back before they explode, which will break his invisibility. Once you've dispatched him, you can go way down and kill the rats.. and really there's no reason to not kill the final justiciar ...
Also if you're fighting Balthazar in his room in the temple... make use of AOE concentration spells that hurt and the door... Hunger of Hadar + grease, and close the door makes the fight easy, if they open the door, use your melee's to push them back in (or EB with repelling), and close the door again, if they fall in the grease in one turn, their next turn is wasted on getting up and having to slowly walk toward the door.
Tbh I think the normal position they are in is the easiest way to strategically f up yurgir and co.
They are in essentially a straight line, you can utilize fall damage if you want, etc.
Very important you do everything in act 2 before going after ‘the artifact’

I played with this sword to act3 and I can say its the best, and I wasnt even a gith, the reason is kagha's amulet that gives you +1-6dmg coating and it does not work with everburn blade, so get this sword as soon as you get the amulet, do not forget about the stunning blow it has, use divinition wizard to drop enemies savethrowns and stun bosses and strong opponents!
Yeah, the Everburn Blade is nice, but kinda overrated. It's why I included the section on getting the Svartlebee's Woundseeker in the first video, since it has such a powerful unique effect for early game, and you can just dip it in fire or poison
@@SlimXG dual wield torches... they do as much blunt damage as a short sword, but also cause 1d4 fire damage each (so long as they don't get wet)... plus you normally attack with both equipped weapons.. 2d6 + 2d4, not bad for intro damage.
it takes some timing and im not 100% sure if it'll work with the honeyed paws attack, but I triggered the talking cutscene as soon as i had used command drop which was successful and triggered the peaceful dialog, afterward attacked everyone for the extra exp
In 2 of my latest playthroughs on tactician, Voss only carried a crossbow. No Silver sword, couldn't pickpocket it of him either. So the only thing he dropped was the crossbow. I tried different save scums, but he always had the crossbow. So I figured they patched it somehow.
I've heard of that happening, but don't know what causes it. He still usually has the sword, but it seems if he has the crossbow, it's just stuck that way.

It's RNG, I've had at least couple of playthroughs where he didn't spawn with his sword

*Brand of the Absolute Warning/Bug:* In my current play through my Tav was branded and when the second option to get branded becomes available to the rest of the party I used space bar to skip through the dialog. NO BRAND WAS GIVEN even after I to him to do it.
Had to reload and watch the cutscenes in order to get the brand.
I guess if you want to upgrade from the full cheddar still, you can just abuse the current vendor glitch with the container instead, so the vendor doesnt even have to die.
For this, simply have a container of any sort on yourself and one spare to sell to the vendor.
Put all the stuff you want in the container just like before.
Open your container as well on the left.
Select all items inside the vendors container and drag them onto the ICON of your container. (It will not work if you drag it onto the slots)
Thats it. The game seems to forget to check for ownership on that function call so uh... it just transfers them all over like its a partymember.
Maybe this should count as moulded cheese though.

Well here's one for act 2, I guess. The fights in the Gauntlet of Shar against dark justiciars yield more exp if you don't kill their portals prematurely. However it means facing more enemies, making the fights deadlier, particularly the one near Bathazar's door. But if you have either a really good lockpicker (its a 30 dc check IIRC so it needs to be a GOOD lockpicker) or a knock spell handy, you can open Balthazar's door, getting him involved on your side. You can gain absolute crap ton of exp and kill two birds with one stone by aggroing Balthazar and hiding (you DO need to be in the fight to gain exp though) , taking minimal ations and risk untill one of them is defeated (which one loses largely depends on how smart and lucky Balthazar is with his cloudkill) than you finish off the strugglers and boom, a ton of exp and one of the bosses taken care of.
First run with gale as companion: Took all spicy dmg spells. 5th run during honor mode: Picked knock, invisible, enlarge etc.
I couldn't get the sliver sword cheese to work so i cast level 3 invisibly on gale and the bear and moved then next to the guy with the sword and used honey paws and switched to gale before he could pick it up but i got into dialogue with one of the gith but you can gove the sword to one of the other party members and then select the option to give the sword back, you wont loss the sword and then you can come back with lae'zel and get the free xp
That would rely on luck for Honeyed Paws to hit, but it does sound interesting. I'll have to take a look at that at some point. Thanks for the heads up.
You can actually steal vendor's items without killing them. It's extra cheezy of course, but hey. It works.
-Get 3 backpacks
-Put 1 backpack into another
-Open the trade interface and sell the "double backpack" to the vendor you wish to rob
-Open the double backpacks from inside the vendor's inventory and put every item you want into the INTERIOR backpack and don't close anything
-Open the 3rd backpack, the one in your own inventory
-Drag every item from the vendor' interior backpack onto > THE BACKPACK ICON < , not the black squares !
-Don't forget to buy back your (now empty) double backpack
Vendor will not see they're being robbed, however DO NOT transfer items from the backpack right in front of them, or it will trigger the steal. Just go hide somewhere and you can empty your backpack :)
You don’t need to nest containers, and any container will work.
Just open a container in the vendor’s inventory and drag items into it. Then open one of your containers and drag 2 or more items onto the big icon at the top of your container. Do Not drag into the black container squares or you’ll purchase them.
Doesn’t work with just one item, and the character with the container has to be able to carry the weight of the items. The game will transfer items up to that weight limit then stop, leaving ill-gotten loot in the vendor container.
@@drunemeton Alright, I just tested and you're right, it just needs 2 backpacks to work.
However, you're wrong on one point, you definitely don't need to be able to carry the items. I wasn't able to find a limit to the overcharge, it may be infinite IDK
It doesn’t work for me, for some reason I can’t choose multiple items at once I tried every combo in the game cntrl + left click , shift + left click or even right click. Idk if it’s because my keyboard is not an English keyboard but it is so annoying
@@yuicoconut When you simply click on an item with your primary mouse button it should highlight. When you click on an item with your secondary mouse button a pop up menu should appear. Is that how your UI works?
@@yuicoconut You're probably dropping on the wrong icon. It's the Big backpack icon that sits right above "Sort of" when you open said backpack. I can confirm it still works as of today

I only play on PC, so I can't really answer that, unfortunately. I have heard that things that involve dragging items into bags like that don't work on console, but I cannot personally confirm it.

Yeah, you can always use Partial Rest to advance story events for free. The only difference between the two types of Long Rest is the party restoration part.
The question I have is which vendors aside the goblin one die for sure and/or can be killed without it affecting a story down the line?
Jeera in the creche and Lann Tarv in Moonrise are two more that you're likely to kill during combat. But you can also choose to kill vendors like Lady Esther if you want.

Nice cheese! Its sometimes hard to tell where the cheese starts in this game. Like with warding bond, where is the cheese line using it with camp cast, using it with camp cast and self healing gale, using it with camp cast and dismissing hireling?
Right, exactly. I tend to avoid all that sort of stuff in my own playthroughs, and since I've seen stuff like Warding Bond tricks mentioned in lots of places, I left it out of my videos.

But in a way how is looting a traders house and then selling them their own stuff any different. One is just slower/less efficient but just as unrealistic.
Nah, it's cool, I didn't take it as criticism. Just agreeing that everyone has their own personal line on that sort of thing. And so I have to pick a line when it comes to making a video vs just my own playstyle. I mean, I don't even like multiclassing hahah.
What happens if Vas isn’t holding the silver sword and instead he’s holding a crossbow?
I have never had it happen to me, so I can't say for sure. But from what I have heard from others, if he spawns that way, there's nothing you can do about it to swap him to the sword.
I would try to test it, but I don't know what causes him to spawn that way, and it seems to be rare. I may look into it in the future if I can find some time.

Yeah, that's fine. Just as long as she doesn't get anywhere near the patrol. The active area for getting pulled into the cutscene is huge.

I tried the voss sword trick after patch 7. It didn't work, could it be because gale was invisible? (Both the bear and gale were invisible) or did they change something in Patch 7
Gale being invisible stops him from being able to use a Portent Die (he has to go into combat along with the bear). But I also got another comment since Patch 7 that said that Voss picked the sword back up, which would definitely be new behavior in Patch 7, if true. When you say, "it didn't work," what exactly happened?
@SlimXG I never got the portent dice option. So what you are saying about gale being invisible might be true.

after disarming Voss you can just take a character in invi and pick it up and then try to escape the battle/let them die and revive them with Withers later.

How to cheese Flind
I mean, a wisdom character can already ally with Flind and tell them to eat themselves. Trick is to keep them close to flind so they are the conversational partner when the fight ends.
If all else fails, there's firewine casks in the cave next door if you're up for a bit of barrelmancy (I prefer to save these for the paladins of tyr or Minthara in the Grove battle), and you can kind of funnel them in the cave. It also invites opportunities to push enemies into the chasm. Worst thing you can do is to fight them outside, because their archers (which are the real threat) can shoot an extremely long distance if things go south.
Stand next to Flind to start the fight, choose the dialogue option to seek the source of the voice, use illithid wisdom to make flind fight the other gnolls. Stand back and attack as needed to balance the fight out. No need to roll wisdom a second time.
bear succeeded first try, surprise round didn't trigger, voss picked sword back up. Honeyd paws wouldn't work again.
If Voss didn't immediately disappear as soon as he was attacked, then something may have changed in Patch 7.
@@SlimXG it still works, even the portent die, people just don't do it properly, backing up the party, putting the bear and gale in the correct spot. nothing changed in patch 7
