The fun thing about being a Gale fan is that the Gale 18+ subreddit had already mapped and deduced most of this point system months ago 😭😭😭Everyone there is crazy
If I remember correctly, someone managed to crack the code to “ultimate” gale, where he’s a teacher and is happy but after the party he takes your hand and ascends with you.

The character I played when I romanced him thought that the gods were all assholes, so she said “fuck you, you’re not dying for Mystra’s forgiveness, I won’t let you” then in act 3 it was “dude becoming god is the stupidest shit I’ve ever heard, and even if you succeeded you’d be an asshole just like them. You’re fine as is, just ask her to fix your chest nuke and give her the crown” Convincing him not to ascend was remarkably simple, then he and my character got married, easy peasy. I’ve found that most people get dumped for the crown because they didn’t spray bottle him like a cat and tell him no every time he brought it up.
When you are a god do you really care what morals thing who will be snuffed out before long? Probably not. I still want to be a god and not get snuffed out tho, just not be an ass about it. :)
Gale was my Paladin's "best bud" and I agonized over what he'd do by the end. I did the same as you, pushed him away from bad thoughts at every opportunity, and was very satisfied with his ending.
31:58 The top dialogue is (seemingly unintentionally) hilarious. That's the equivalent of your ex asking if you can get back together, and you responding "yes, but only after the heat death of the universe."
For some reason this sparked an image of PC and Nameless one (from PS:T) chilling in the middle of Blood war complaining about their love interests to each other like two married geezer over a mug of beer and that is now my head canon ending.

One of these days I will find the courage (ambition?) to have Gale ascend... But up until now I have loved this quirky scholar too much to encourage him
@@myplace4play He was in my party in my first playthrough, but I botched his scene in Act 1 so I never got very invested... I only started to really love him once I decided to romance him in my Honour mode.
@@lavaplanet4749 The one where he teaches you to channel the Weave, I just cut it off halfway through which changes how he responds to you in his scenes down the line
There are a few different options there, but since I didn't want to drag it out by showing every one, I picked that one. I guess I made the right choice hahah
13:53 This single ambition line is further proof that this game is our best example of what the power of appropriately compensated writers and voice actors can do.
Agreed. I always feel guilty padding a video with long stretches of unedited footage straight from the game, but these hidden lines were fun to find (and listen to), so I wanted to share them.
Totally agree. I absolutely adore this whole bit of dialogue. What this game’s dialogue does better than any other I’ve experienced is to genuinely make you believe the characters. They make it hard not to feel something, whether positive or negative while playing. These lines are an excellent example though I’m saddened to know these in particular can’t be achieved through normal play.
@@stephnicole3078 Well, some of them can be seen and some can't. That particular exchange with Lorroakan, mentioned in the original comment, can be accessed with the proper choices.
@@SlimXG Thanks for the reply! Starting my new playthrough now for patch 7. Apparently I need to rewatch that part so I can try get those lines in my playthrough then.
I wonder how many of these bugs they will fix in Patch 7. But wow, so many deeply embedded VA lines, that no one or nearly no one will ever hear. Impressive Larian.
Since they did specifically address the bug about Gale's name, they may have other such fixes in store. And perhaps the video can bring some of them to their attention, if they didn't already know 😏
@@SlimXG with the number of Diologe options and Variences I kind of wondered home many diologe options would be lost to bugs with out anyone knowing, but with people digging through the scripting like you hopefully Larian can fix
Y'know, I'm starting to think when Larian said there was "so much content players haven't found even now," they don't realize how much content is bugged or structured to be impossible...
I think it's really cool peeking behind the curtain and looking at all the content that was originally planned, although maybe a little depressing seeing all the cool stuff we didn't get.
I played though one where I romanced Gale, but I was roleplaying as being kind of defensive and nervous about him going back to Mystra, so I pushed him away from the idea of making up with her, but also pushed him away from dying (because I loved him) or using the crown (because it's insane). Dialogue indicated I had pretty clearly convinced him to give up on the crown, but when we got to the top of the upper city, he still had his dialogue about claiming it. Passed the DC30 check to talk him out of it one last time, he assures me he's totally over it, we beat the brain, and in the epilogue he went and claimed the crown anyway, became a jerk god and ghosted me for six months. So because of these weird bugs, my romance with Gale ended with him being a complete betraying ass.
My very first playthrough, this happened to me. I had to redo 36 hours worth of gameplay to get the ending where he didn’t go after the crown. It was frustrating but worth it.
For a character that has so little to do with the actual story, Tara has such an impact I find. (Spoiler for epilogue when Gale dies) In my first playthrough I totally missed Raphael in Act 3 and never talked Gale out of the Crown, so naturally, Gale died. During the epilogue, when Tara asked me to curl up in my lap as she had done with Gale before, I burst out crying.
Yes! I have been "patiently" waiting for this! I have never had Gale kill himself or become a god yet it always seemed that so many dialogue scenes were so different. Now I know why! This was incredible and you clearly put a lot of hard work into it! That being said, I would love more content that is "unaccessible." Cut or never actually made stuff is so fascinating! Thank you so much for this!
Thanks for explaining the letters. I did a branch off where I had Gale explode at the final Netherbrain fight to see what would happen and was really sad when I got his letter that only talked about his mother even though my approval with him was at 100. I suppose you could argue that making him explode took his approval of me down to 0, thus the dismissive letter, but knowing that it was a bug and he should have mentioned our friendship makes that ending hurt less. I really enjoy these code deep dives. Thanks for all the time you take going through the options.
I personally saw it as Gale didn’t have the time to finish his letter since he was fairly sure he was going to live. So getting the half-finished letter from a good friend whom I convinced to blow himself up made the ending really bitter, which felt deserved. However, it is nice to know that there was another, actually finished letter.
I can not believe what Larian went through just to get one companion to spout out a few specific lines of dialogue some of which not actually possible in game. The internal dialogue system is far more complicated than I expected
It's all very impressive, how many permutations they planned for (and recorded full mocapped acting for). I just happened to stumble into one yesterday, that after freeing Shadowheart from the nautiloid pod and waking her up on the beach, she has different lines specific to if you knocked her out while still on the nautiloid . .
you are literally my hero i have been trying to crack this but do not have the motivation or skills like you...nobel prize of some sort must be awarded
I always wondered why games don't use relational databases with their file system engines for their save games. Very cool to see that BG3 seems to use something like it
On my first Honor mode run (which succeeded) I was playing as Origin Karlach and romanced Gale. I didn't really plan for anything specific, wasn't even sure how the epilogue would look like since my previous runs were done before the epilogue was a thing. In the end I managed to heal Karlach by turning her into a god alongsside Gale, which was something I didn't even know was possible. This video has managed to even further impress me, because it looks like I had to pick a lot of very specific options for this to work out.
Thanks for the amazing content! I remember how it took me to say something in the Sorcerous Sundries Vault to explain to him that he doesn't need a godhood, to which he responded not so positively (I even saw disapproval from him), but in the end he chose the right thing and became a teacher in Waterdeep. I expected Gale to have far more to his "score" than Shadowheart, but I didn't expect it to be so big! Maybe my favorite princess isn't "the overworked one" after all...
Yeah, when I first started looking into Gale, I saw that single "score" and thought, well, that's simpler than Shadowheart, since she has a bunch of different points. Welp . .
@@SlimXG now, thinking about that, I can add that if you play as Origin Gale, you can transform into mindflayer and then Mystra would be able to restore your soul. So, perhaps that one dialogue was an attempt to implement Origin-specific decision for Gale as a companion?
There's even still a check during the epilogue for the flag from "confronting" Mystra, even if you have Gale as a companion. When that scene currently only happens if you're playing as origin Gale. So it's possible. (If you flip that confront flag to true for companion Gale, the scene during the epilogue party of him floating down in a beam of blue light happens, but with no Gale, because he's dead. So it's just a dramatic spotlight on nothing . .)
Looking forward to this. Always enjoy your dives into the decision making trees of the characters. Edit to add - Definitely fun to see deeply hidden and unused dialogue.
Just found your channel! I've adored Gale the most ever since first seeing that "Slap the hand." dialogue option a year ago, but I had NO idea there was so much complexity layered into his crown choice! Thank you for taking the time to do these breakdowns; I also loved your Shadowheart videos! I've subbed and definitely hope you do more of these!
I love seeing the normally impossible-to-see content. Without vids like these there'd be no other way to find or see them for ourselves. As it is I was really curious about how the death flags worked and couldn't find anyone else talking about them before this. Nice video!
Thanks for making these videos explaining hidden scores in the game. I know it must be a lot of work. But it's really interesting, not only for people to make better decisions in the game, but also get a little peek at what goes on behind the scenes in game development. As for your question regarding dialogue and things that are far outside of normal gameplay, I'm happy to see it all. It's so cool.
I have specifically been wondering why Gale went god on my Shadowheart Origin run and you’ve given me the scripts to pinpoint how! I feel like this video was made specifically for me, thank you so much for your work!!
@@SlimXG Hi SlimXG, I was wondering if Astarion has similar point system for his ascension scene? Not sure if it’s enough for a whole video, but sometimes I’ve gotten the dialogue checks on insight and persuasion to convince him not to ascend, and sometimes I have not. Curious as to what triggers those checks in the code as I’m not as tech savvy with reading the datamines.
@@broadwaystar2b That's probably at the top of the list for most asked companion questions, so it's definitely going into a video. I'm probably going to combine explanations for several/all of the remaining companions into one, depending on how much I find.
Romancing Gale made it pretty easy for me to convince him not to go for the crown or blow himself up, but in my current playthrough I was getting a little nervous as I just reached Act 3 a little bit ago and have been putting off his personal quest. So this will be tremendously helpful as always, thank you. This video also made me appreciate Tim Downie’s voice work even more, if that was possible. All of the VAs really were the perfect fit for their roles.
@@SlimXG Funny, I'm kind of the opposite myself. On my first playthrough I kinda liked Gale, but when I had to restart my save from the beginning I began to dislike him. Maybe it was just that "new game honeymoon"-phase wearing off and me taking a more critical look at the characters, plus me playing a sorcerer so Gale felt rather redundant to keep around.
There's a third option I always convince Gale to make a mends with Mystra and seek her forgiveness and his end game is where he becomes a mentor for wizards/Sorcerers in training
Me, a Gale girlie, settling in to see some unseen romance dialogue from my favourite wizard 🍿 But really this is some interesting stuff!! I love seeing all these hidden and cut lines and their triggers.
With you being able to pick out bugs and what caused them I'm surprised you're not hired to help fix them too lol Thanks for your time delving into this kinda thing! It's super fascinating on both a coding and story front
I’ve only done one 200 hour playthrough. And my endings were very cursed. I had so many bugged quests, particularly from killing Gortash early. Now I know I even had bugged Gale at the “marvellous party” and that really is just a cherry on top
This explains so much! I have romanced Gale TWICE and he always dumped my character at the brainstem then the dock for the crown. It was only on my third try, he didn't and I got the happy proposal. I wish I saw this video earlier! Great work!!! Thank you!
Damn, for a game like Baldur's Gate 3, I did not expect the endings to be such a mess. I'm impressed with what you managed to dig up. Also, I love seeing hidden/unreachable/cut content, so please, more of that!
OMG Shadowheart's system was a piece of cake compared to this mess 😂 Thank you so much for explaining it ! Gale was rarely in my party in my first run, I did take him to Sorcerous Sundries and gave him the book to read and went to see Mystra tho. But I kept a neutral approach concerning the crown and a firm no way one concerning the blowing up. I was a bit sad when I realized at the end there was no way to deter him from godhood. So he became a bitchy god and I hated it. I'm now playing origin Shadowheart and romancing him so hopefully I can get it right this time 😅
@@SlimXG Yep, I took notes ! I tried in my first run to let the characters decide their fate freely. Went really well except for him. This boy needs a clear STOP IT to remain nice apparently 😅
Interesting- I had figured out my own paths to trigger those letters, and still missed two of them (so thank you for bringing those to my attention!), and it was different to what you found. Same with one or two uncommon lines. I had been struggling to trigger some of the dialogue and wasn't sure why, because I'm just experimenting with dialogue combinations and endgame results and can't look at the code, so this is incredibly helpful. Thanks so much! Hopefully more than just his last name dialogue will be fixed in patch 7 🤞🏻 💜✨
I had to stop less than halfway through bc I've only finished one campaign (platonic, let Gale blow up) and my next campaign is in Act 2, romancing Gale, and aiming for the ascension ending, so I want to see a lot of this stuff blind. But I'm once again mindblown at all the complicated mechanics, scores, and flags that go beyond just the visible approval system. And in some cases they had the same dialogue but just did two slightly different takes depending on Gale's frame of mind? I love Larian so much for the effort they put into this
Because those two different versions of the line have exactly the same text in the dialogue file, I had glossed over it while looking for all the different flag changes. But then I noticed that one version had a "devnote" with directions for how to read the line, and the other one didn't. I thought, that doesn't mean it's actually two different line readings, does it? But checked it just in case, and sure enough . .
it gave me so much insight on how this all works. on one hand it's so detailed it's really inspiring, on the other oh gods that's a mess, no wonder the characters in my playthrough keep doing weird shit out of practically nowhere
Absolutely loving these videos! Thanks for showing a bunch of us stuff we won't ever see otherwise, I truly love knowing the mechanics behind npc interactions

Savescummed the fuck out if that DC30 persuasion check to tell him NOT to go for the crown obly for him to immediately ditch me 😂😭 i was so mad bc i never encouraged him to go for it! I loaded a save and withheld the book initially and told him to seek mystras forgiveness. Got the sweet version of the boat scene and the professor ending 💜
This is great! I love the video. I could have sworn Gale definitely has some different dialogue in act 2 when you dont dissuade him enough, at least in a romance- I accidentally pushed him towards death and he said very depressing things, didnt say the thing where he thanks you for talking him down the morning after and said something morose about his "own self inflicted death" instead. That said, thanks so much for making this video. Its very good to show us all these technical things- hes so complicated. Its a really good video
Yeah, at pretty much every level, there are more dialogue changes if you're romancing him. Weirdly, the conversation right after spending the night under the stars with him in Act 2 changes between 0 and 1 death score if you didn't start a romance with him, but is the same either way if you did. I originally had that in the video, but trimmed it for time.
Didn’t realize there was such a complex system for Gale😀 I feel like I got hella lucky with both of my finished playthroughs! My first one I somehow easily got normal professor Gale at the end,, and my second one where I romanced him ended the same way as well,, lmao I was desperate for him to not blow up or become a god in both playthroughs,, Whenever I talked to him I think about the the meme that goes: “YOU’RE NOT ASCENDING TO GODHOOD YOU’RE JUST DEHYDRATED!!” Awesome video!! Thank your for making this☺️
i feel like gale never does what you want him to do, want him to take the crown, nah he’s not feeling it. want him to leave the crown, “fuck ur opinion im gonna be a god” -gale probably
Amazing! I’d love to see more of these deep-dives, flag discussions, and hidden/blocked/unfinished things! Thank you for doing the hard work and sharing it with us!!!
Impressive research and a very well put together video, despite Larian's best efforts to make it as convoluted as possible. You just gained a new subscriber. I can't wait to see your future content!
I did a run where I dissauaded gale from going for the crown and romancing him. I think the conversations that gale and your character can have on the boat in elysium are some of the most complex and interesting in the whole game. Gale makes for interesting conversations I've found.
I never finished the game but I got close or so I thought. I sort of moved on and just couldn't pick it back up. Either way I felt really close to the end of the game and it's really funny when I watch videos about it and hear things like "Now this only happens once you get to the 400 hour space adventure ark when you talk to Bimble Flap the dancing lemur who you must know because the game forced you to meet them 300 hours ago before this." and I'm like, "I never met Bimble Flap..."
"If you do or don't please let me know in the comments" Yes, especially if it involves Minthara. Yes I'm still on that hill, yes I'm still sad she doesn't have more publicly available. (I don't even think she's necessarily the best romance or companion, just that she has way, way more potential that seems to have been not applied.)
She's definitely on the list of characters to explore for a future companion(s) video. Though there doesn't appear to be much in the way of that same kind of unfinished dialogue, like the Gale transformation option.
It's funny that, of the few Patch 7 fixes that Larian has announced, the janky fade to black at the end of the Karlach in hell scene is one of them. That quick glimpse of the characters standing there after the cutscene was all I needed to find it hahah.
wonderful video and we appreciate the hard work you pun in to show us so much of what this game has to offer one critique: because there's so much numbers, code, and nerd talk (minus the ones from Gale), a good diagram/bullet points on how the dialog is achieved would be much appreciated i.e. a expansion on the 'Goal Score' to each of the choices to be made
That was my original plan, but it was just becoming too complex for the video, so I tried to just cover specific outcomes. It would really take a text post with diagrams and whatnot to show it all off properly.
Oh my god thank you!!!! I knew he had to have a point score like this the night song points but I couldn’t find anyone to look into it for me. Ugh, I really appreciate this!! ♥️ I’m only halfway through the video so I might be back to comment again, I’m so excited.
@@SlimXGI adore the wizard, and I so firmly walk the wire every time to have him not become a god, but also not kiss musty Mystra’s ass bc fuck her lol. It is very stressful but I am very stubborn and I like my husband to feel content and have his orb tattoo at the epilogue 🤣 Anyways, this is so very appreciated, I’ve been feeling like pepe Silvia mode about this since the one play through I failed and got god Gale(traumatizing). And I love seeing the unseeable content! Firmly sat for more Gale/bg3 content!
I hate the "asking for Mystras forgiveness" line, but after watching this it seems like the safest bet to avoid any issues later. 😭 Thank you for video!
You only need to reduce the crown score by 1 if you don't want him to become a god, and there are lots of ways to do that. So you don't _have_ to tell him to ask Mystra for forgiveness, if you don't want to.
this is very interesting stuff! with the minimal (and very rough) coding experience I have, I've sometimes mixed up what variables go where or failed to account for all the places they can/should be changed, so I can definitely see how this sort of thing happens, especially with how complex this game is.
Oh, absolutely. I even felt a bit bad for saying the code for the letters is, "a mess" because I know how much work is involved. With how complex all the scripts are in this game, it's amazing how much goes *right*
This is so fascinating! I knew about the tags and point system but when I tried to trigger them naturally, it was so much more complicated I gave up on it. I haven't even heard some of these lines at all!
How the actual "pushing" works in the script is what I think many people were missing, even those that had investigated the parsed dialogue files. I figured I could add something to the discussion hahah.
YAYYYYYY I've been so looking forward to this!! Thank you so much! I love this type of stuff so much but I'm awful at parsing it on my own so your explanations are perfect. Thanks so much for your research into this!
Damn, this video is incredibly cool, thank you for your work in making it. That being said, it kinda sucks that some of this content is bugged and no one ever noticed until the dataminers realised that. These will never be fixed, I feel like.
Ya never know. Larian already specifically mentioned fixing the "Dekarios" dialogue in Patch 7, so it's possible that some other ones may be fixed, as well. A few simple adjustments to flags would fix all of the bugs that I talked about at the end of this video.
I had a really weird bug happen to me I killed Shadowheart at the veeeeery begining (evil Dark Urges) Waaaaaay later, after i freed Nightsong (not so evil Dark Urges), Shadowheart respawned in my camp, COMPLETELY NAKED, telling me how she was ashamed she decidednot to kill Nightsong I could take her in my party, but her picture was darkened as if she was dead, when i long rested, she left my party and stayed at camp. Way later after i arrived at Baldur’s Gate, she disapeared, for ever. Now im scared... what if she shows up again ?!
Ok, this is very confusing but super interesting to know! Shadowheart's Nightsong Points are MUCH easier to navigate lol. Regardless, thank you so much for making a video about Gale's hidden scores! I'll try to keep an eye on them in my next playthrough :)
When I first started on this video, all I knew was that Gale has some sort of score, and I thought that surely it can't be as complex as Shadowheart . .
In my first playthrough I wondered why Gale couldn't just randomly decided to be become a god at the end only to be utterly destroyed by Mystra. Now I know it was due to basically ignoring him the entire game :) Thank you for answer.
It's crazy how I accidentally hit all the right buttons to push Gale away from wanting to get the crown towards the end of the game. Gale always sounded a BIT too power hungry every time he talked about the crown so I just kept saying "Bro chill out" 😂
amazing work and fantastic channel. you clearly work so hard on these and i hope you get the views you deserve! i will watch literally anything you dig up from this game!
Literally anything? Well that'd open up a lot of possibilities . . I could make a video all about the "LOW_CazadorsPalace_RitualRoom_State_CazadorIsShirtless" flag
I finished my first playthrough last weekend, in which I romanced Gale and didn’t let him blow himself up in Act 2. He was so willing to sacrificed himself at the end I thought for sure mystra would bring him back. So that reunion dinner scene made me so sad of me hugging his hologram…😭
I definitely want to see the impossible/unfinished content. And as always, another great vid! Larian just released anniversary statistics that said only 34 people had lae’zel kill herself after Vlaakith rejects her ascension on an origin playthrough. Could you look into what makes that possible?
In fact, I already did! It appears that Vlaakith will reject your ascension (while you're still on the dock) if you are either a filthy ghaik or if you are on the Vlaakith loyal path but didn't kill Orpheus. A little less confident on that second one, since it's more jumbled in the file. And if that happens, Lae'zel has the option to stab herself. I could just create a game as Lae'zel and test it to be sure, though I still haven't gotten around to installing the Debug Book mod, so I gotta get from the nautiloid to the dock the "normal" way, which still took me around an hour and a half when I did it with Karlach just to show a few seconds of her epilogue romance scene with Gale -_-
Loved seeing the rare dialogue choices as well as the impossible ones. Like I’ve never entered the archives without going Through the tower first even though I know you can go through the office in sorcerer sun dries. It just never seemed worth going that way since it’s likely to make the whole store hostile so I’d probably never see the other dialogue scenes. I’m on my 3rd playthrough now doing my honor mode run and romancing Gale so it’s interesting to see how some things end up on how you approach the boat scene before/after talking to mystra. I went before so I guess I missed some dialogue. I had no idea Gale could explode himself and fail to become a god. Some of those odd situations were quite funny to see from just going to Avernus. Very good though video, Inlovr hearing about how the mechanics work for the companions.
All researched and recorded on Patch 6, version 4.1.1.5022896. I'll put updates, here, for any significant changes once Patch 7 hits.

You’re fine as is, just ask her to fix your chest nuke and give her the crown”
Convincing him not to ascend was remarkably simple, then he and my character got married, easy peasy.

I'm picturing the giant flowchart you must have had to make to create this video. impressive. thanks for putting the work in
Hahah yes, that's pretty much spot-on. Much of the time spent on this video was mapping out all the score changes. I appreciate you appreciating it.
Yep, knowing more about the dialogues that are in the game but not trigerable is a thing that I want to see more.

And thank you for the time you take to watch the videos
I personally saw it as Gale didn’t have the time to finish his letter since he was fairly sure he was going to live. So getting the half-finished letter from a good friend whom I convinced to blow himself up made the ending really bitter, which felt deserved. However, it is nice to know that there was another, actually finished letter.

I can not believe what Larian went through just to get one companion to spout out a few specific lines of dialogue some of which not actually possible in game. The internal dialogue system is far more complicated than I expected
It's all very impressive, how many permutations they planned for (and recorded full mocapped acting for). I just happened to stumble into one yesterday, that after freeing Shadowheart from the nautiloid pod and waking her up on the beach, she has different lines specific to if you knocked her out while still on the nautiloid . .

I always wondered why games don't use relational databases with their file system engines for their save games. Very cool to see that BG3 seems to use something like it
Especially with sqlite being right there
On my first Honor mode run (which succeeded) I was playing as Origin Karlach and romanced Gale.

Didn’t realize there was such a complex system for Gale😀

Thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'll see what other convoluted stuff I can come up with.
I did a run where I dissauaded gale from going for the crown and romancing him. I think the conversations that gale and your character can have on the boat in elysium are some of the most complex and interesting in the whole game. Gale makes for interesting conversations I've found.
Complex, indeed. Mapping out all of Gale's relevant conversation paths is what took up the bulk of the research time on this video.
"If you do or don't please let me know in the comments"
Yes, especially if it involves Minthara.
Yes I'm still on that hill, yes I'm still sad she doesn't have more publicly available. (I don't even think she's necessarily the best romance or companion, just that she has way, way more potential that seems to have been not applied.)
She's definitely on the list of characters to explore for a future companion(s) video. Though there doesn't appear to be much in the way of that same kind of unfinished dialogue, like the Gale transformation option.

one critique: because there's so much numbers, code, and nerd talk (minus the ones from Gale), a good diagram/bullet points on how the dialog is achieved would be much appreciated i.e. a expansion on the 'Goal Score' to each of the choices to be made

You only need to reduce the crown score by 1 if you don't want him to become a god, and there are lots of ways to do that. So you don't _have_ to tell him to ask Mystra for forgiveness, if you don't want to.

I could take her in my party, but her picture was darkened as if she was dead, when i long rested, she left my party and stayed at camp. Way later after i arrived at Baldur’s Gate, she disapeared, for ever.
Now im scared... what if she shows up again ?!
She's behind you, right now.
@@SlimXG A !!!!!!!
Another sick look behind the curtain, thanks SlimXG!
Ok, this is very confusing but super interesting to know! Shadowheart's Nightsong Points are MUCH easier to navigate lol. Regardless, thank you so much for making a video about Gale's hidden scores! I'll try to keep an eye on them in my next playthrough :)
When I first started on this video, all I knew was that Gale has some sort of score, and I thought that surely it can't be as complex as Shadowheart . .
Yes I love seeing all the inaccessible dialogue hidden deep in the layers of code bc it gives insight into their whole creative process
Amazing content. You've really put in a lot of effort into it.
Watching this to get tips on how I can get Gale to blow himself up in my honor mode run. This is very in-depth and helpful, thanks.
Thats it. Hes staying in the portal
But he already wants the crown, even while he's stuck in there. You gotta do something about it!
In my first playthrough I wondered why Gale couldn't just randomly decided to be become a god at the end only to be utterly destroyed by Mystra. Now I know it was due to basically ignoring him the entire game :) Thank you for answer.
For some reason this video only showed up now despite me being subscribed.
So happy you made a video covering this!
You don't check your subscription feed every day just in case I uploaded a new video?!
And thank you for watching it!
@@SlimXG I know, shame on me :(
It's crazy how I accidentally hit all the right buttons to push Gale away from wanting to get the crown towards the end of the game. Gale always sounded a BIT too power hungry every time he talked about the crown so I just kept saying "Bro chill out" 😂
Very cool and informative video! I would like to know more about obscure and unused dialogue lines. It's a cool look into the writing process.
amazing work and fantastic channel. you clearly work so hard on these and i hope you get the views you deserve! i will watch literally anything you dig up from this game!
Literally anything? Well that'd open up a lot of possibilities . .
I could make a video all about the "LOW_CazadorsPalace_RitualRoom_State_CazadorIsShirtless" flag
@@SlimXG i dare you…
This was an awesome video. I really hope to see more from you on topics such as these!
first time watching your channel and i haven't even finished the video but i LOVED it, i love this kind of deep dives, keep doing them! i'm subbing :)
I finished my first playthrough last weekend, in which I romanced Gale and didn’t let him blow himself up in Act 2. He was so willing to sacrificed himself at the end I thought for sure mystra would bring him back. So that reunion dinner scene made me so sad of me hugging his hologram…😭
😢
Love this stuff. You have GOT to dive into my gal Minthara sometime in this series.
Oh she's on the list to investigate, for sure.
Super interesting! Thank you so much! Finding out about the hidden and unused dialogue is very cool.
I could just create a game as Lae'zel and test it to be sure, though I still haven't gotten around to installing the Debug Book mod, so I gotta get from the nautiloid to the dock the "normal" way, which still took me around an hour and a half when I did it with Karlach just to show a few seconds of her epilogue romance scene with Gale -_-
@@SlimXG Oh, I figured it would be something like that! Thanks for the answer!
This is great stuff, I appreciate the amount of research you've done. I just hope you report these all to Larian.
After playing through with Gale once in my first playthrough, what happens to him in my later playthroughs makes him very... handy.
💣
