Of all the classical composers, Tchaikovsky by far has the most instantly recognizable melodies for the average person. He really was the greatest melodist of his era and easily the composer of classical music's Hit Parade. He's always been in my top five composers for that very reason and Piano Concerto No. 1 B flat minor, Op. 23.

Nice walk down memory lane for me! As a girl, my older sister danced every year in a local ballet performing The Nutcracker Suite.
She would practice a LOT at home, and of course we had the record album of the music for her to dance to. That music (and the ballet) has been permanently etched into my soul.

Oh wow. Tchaikovsky is one of my favorite classical composers, and I recognize all the songs. I see there is a lot of Nutcracker there. I would like to add "Garland Waltz". That is another major Tchaikovsky song, and it represents the Sleeping Beauty ballet. Any Disney fan should recognize this song, especially those into Disney princesses. Heck Aurora is one of the most prominent characters on Disney Princess merch, so she is really freaking hard to miss. IMO Sleeping Beauty was actually one of the best movies Walt Disney made when he was alive. It is a close second to Cinderella.
I know you. I walked with you once upon a dream. I know you. The gleam your eyes is so familiar a gleam. Yet I know it's true that visions are seldom all they seem. But if I know you, I know what you'll do. You'll love me at once, the way you did once upon a dream.
